  1. Woohoo... the old Venus "Lemania" (lol) transparent caseback rep. These were priceless! Good old days for sure!
  2. Added b16a2's Aquaracer 500 & review, P4GTR's MOP dial ladies' link + Onzenuub's Carrera review. Please report any missing watch models/required updates. Thanks.
  3. Some updates to this guide (after very long break). (Been busy). Please let me know if I'm missing something (a new model that should be included, etc.) Thanks.
  4. Another brilliant review. I will add this to the Breitling Guide asap. All those need updating but I've been lazy. Thanks for this great contribution! Edit: Added to the Guide.
  5. Amazing review & contribution. This is very nice rep... I've always liked it. Black is always the safest choice but the beige dial color version is my personal favorite. Definitely on my endless "must have" list. So many watches, so few wrists...
  6. This has been on my wrist today, or actually since yesterday evening. I love this watch, never get tired of it.
  7. Why don't you guys simply remove the wrong looking pearl? It gives muchos "character" and looks just cool.
  8. Hey JoJo... you forgot the wrist shot. PS: Went back to oysterquartz.net and read lots of the stuff again. Great and very informative site.
  9. Guys (Woody and dovo), if you want help identifying the correct SFSO rep model, don't hesitate to throw me a pm.
  10. Wow... OQ is actually very sought after Rolex among the collectors these days. That is quite something, really. You might be the first RWG member who owns it. What makes this watch much nicer than a standard Precision/AirKing/Datejust is the bracelet. It's really special and makes this watch unique looking. Congrats for this rare beauty. You can be sure that it's a good investment too. PS: I have read the whole Oysterquartz.com site through and through. Very nice articles and pictures.
  11. Ah. Wasn't aware of this. You learn something new every day.
  12. Hi guys, I don't think it compares very well (accuracy wise). I recall this watch had many glaring flaws. It's also the reason why it hasn't sold a lot here. Go for the older Link if you want an accurate rep. If you simply like the design and want the day-date I say go for it. Live a little, worry less.
  13. This reminds me... when I was still young and single I was bouncing in the most popular night club in town. It was very good door and of course the tips and earnings were huge. Of course it was the most desired place for all bouncers in the town. That was long time ago, before Darth Vader and the Emperor Palpatine... before the tax nazis got involved, and when it was still individual, "freelancer based" unorganized business. Well... when I felt more like partying I used to sell my Friday and Saturday shifts to other bouncers. Money for nothing and chicks for free. PS: Friends, of course, got my shifts for free. Your offer is very generous... I'd offer it to a good forum friend first.
  14. How is the bracelet on this one? I never owned a Carrera and I always thought the Carrera bracelets look very flimsy. Actually my gen Aquaracer chrono bracelet is superbly finished but not the heaviest, either.
  15. Yeah that's what I was wondering. How about a good franken: Put gen dial into Noobmariner case, drill the lugs, polish the rehaut, change crown, install a non-SEL bracelet and remove the cylops (or swap the crystal): Very good modern no-date Submariner. At least it's possible. I'm actually surprised that no one has ever attempted to build one. The reason why Noobmariner case would be ideal is that gen no-date version has shallower rehaut than 16610.
  16. Excellent, excellent review. This review deserves more attention (I'm guessing it's "hiding" in an obscure subforum, thus... the slow response). Moved temporarily to General Discussion. I'll move it back to TAG Area or the "Other watch reviews" area. Let me know where you want it then. From now on the newest high profile reviews like this can be kept in General Discussion so they won't get "lost" from the members. PS: If I didn't have the white dial Panda Discovery, I probably would have bought this one. Very classy.
  17. That sure is a classy looking watch. Reminds me a bit of certain Zenith El Primero model (despite the different subdial arrangement).
  18. But then again I've had about 100 back and forth transactions with other RWG members... I have bought gens from RWG members... and many reps. All of these transactions have been PERFECT. Many great members have helped me and sent me parts, helped me to source watches, etc. Every day I get PM's from well-mannered great folks. I would still say that this kind of people are in the minority.
  19. Same thing in Europe. They swapped my 16710 insert to a brand new one for 30 Euros. They let me keep the old insert too, which (I heard) is actually against their principles. How "generous"... f*ckers! Just take off the gen insert before you go to the AD and say that it has been lost. They have no choice but replace it.
  20. Congrats mate. What's the watch choice for this big day?
  21. @Justasgood: A decent no-date Sub rep. Where did that dial came from? Looks suspiciously good. I'm sporting my new favorite again.
  22. I guess THESE are pretty much verified. If you're in EU, go with the EU-based dealers like Narikaa, Precious Time (to avoid customs issues).
  23. "I have two screwdrivers and I'm ready to service a movement". That was RICH. How about:
  24. Actually this kind of watch could say pretty much ANYTHING on the dial. It's very traditional, basic design. Very classy combo with that violet/brown strap. I'm not into this type of dress watches but Pugs is a bit older so it might suit him. Seriously, great price, classy watch.
