  1. Since I had to cancel my school session last month due to my ex wifes antics, I have been patiently waiting for this day to come. Tonight I leave for the Skip Barber Racing School at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, CA. I was enrolled in the 1 day combo course by my boss as a Christmas gift.

After over 6 months of waiting, Im finally ready to do it.

I will be taking along a couple watches. Most likely wearing the GMT IIc and taking a few others. I will take pics as possible of the watches and the cars.

The last half of the day we are allowed to drive the Formula Skip Barber open wheel race cars on the track, so that should be worthy of a couple pics!

Everyone play nice, and take it easy on each other!

Damn! Lucky you, dawg!!!!! Good luck and please be carefull out there! We want to see those pictures, but not your ass on a sling!!!!

  2. I've been taking pictures (which I have posted some) of my brown Heritage since I got it from Joshua (excellent service as usual) last Sat. and I kinda' notice that

the bezel and dial color changes depending on the lighting situation (should I say, duh?). I don't know why it just struck me today. Those who own the black and

blue dials/bezels, do have the same effect? Here's what I'm talking about:

First picture taken, outside with sunlight - more on the reddish brown side:

This one, taken inside the house, but with sunlight thru the french door - still in the reddish brown side:

This one taken Thurs. on the front door of the house with sunlight behind me - still in the reddish brown side:

    These today:

Front door of my brother's house - cloudy day, now the real brown is coming out:

Outside, but under a tree - nice brown color:

Outside in the open with full sunlight - on the reddish brown side again:

    What do you think?

  3. This is for my 'official' wedding in February. I'm going to order a specific watch, as well as duplicates for my best men. We're all going to be wearing black suits, white shirts, and red ties (Agent 47-style B) )

    The options are:

Panerai 114 on SS Bracelet, or, Patek Philippe Nautilus (blue) on SS Bracelet.

It's going to be either one of those two watches, but nothing else, and I don't want other suggestions.

At the moment, I'm leaning more towards the 114, as PAMs are what I feel more comfortable with, but, I'm wondering if the PP might be that little bit more elegant for the event...

    Thanks in advance :)

TJ! Congrats my friend! If your going for the PP Nautilus in Blue, let me know, I'll loan you mine!

    Cheers, Mate

  4. @ admin,

I am not good at artwork and creating logos, but I would love if someone would commission a nice little logo for our signatures for those who were a part of it's history and many of us that called it home at one time. If we could just get one made.. we could all copy and enjoy it in our signatures :)

Thanks for the great times TRC!

Great Idea! Attn. TeeJay, if you read this, maybe something you could do?

  5. I like it, if Im honest I personally think it would suit the black SOH better, but it looks nice on the brown version too! Gives it a nice sporty look!

Looks good, suites the carbon fiber very well :)

Although the white stitching seems a bit bold/thick maybe, for the Heritage's classic style....

If the stiching was dark brown/red, maybe it would look really nice though......

    Cheers! B)

I think it would be better in the black version too.

*crickets chirping*..... **frogs croaking**..... *somewhere in the distance a leaf falls to the ground***.........

just bustin your cah..nes ... love ya man... looks good Hike... :good:

Thanks, guys! Well, the watch hold up really well in the pool! Next should be some snorkling trip! We'll see!

I just finally give in and went to the AD just an hour ago and ordered the GEN Rubber strap in brown....without the holes (use with the

regular SFSO) its $100! The one with holes and deployant included $348 with my discount! He's going to try and get just the rubber strap

for me without the deployant....maybe for $100!

  6. Here I am, took the day off.....and nothing better to do, except wait for Lani's Poki Mix <_< !!!!

  7. Hi New to this world , if a watch is out of stock on PureTime , is it worth ordering and waiting for it? and does anyone know how long wait times usually are or any othergood sources for very good Paneria's replica's

Really a fan of the PAM111E and the PAM001B -but black strap instead, with white stitching,

Is the only difference between those models the backing (solid and display) does anyone know and would they recommend the cannon pin fix? wanted the

any suggestions/feed back recommendations much appreciated

Have you checked other dealers here????

  8. what poki "mix" are you referring to? .. alls you need is hawaiin sea salt.. chili peppers.. kukui nut .. if you like that.. otherwise just the hawaiin sea salt.. and peppers.. oh... sea weed ,.. don't forget the Ahi (cubed)... mmmmmm with a cold brew on a hot day.....non alcoholic for me please..

I dun know the Y back t-top may not suit you .. if you know what i mean B):whistling::lol:

What else would you use poki mix for???? beef? although it mite be worth a try......I guess you haven't tried the prepackage version? I got them last time I was there; hawaiin sea salt.. chili peppers.. kukui nut and dried sea weed all packed in a 4oz packet! I have about 4 packets left! I always get a pound of fresh ahi on the weekend and season it wit the mix.....and yes! with a cold brew on a warm afternoon........priceless!

  9. Well Andrew emailed me and told me that he was just joking and that what he said was not meant to be taken seriously. It makes me feel a bit better and I feel bad now about posting this thread. He thought and assumed that I was a small collector reselling his watches because of the quantity I have purchased. He didn't fully realize that I was buying for my own personal collection. Appologies to you Andrew.

Well, now we all owe Andrew an apology if he was seriously just joking around.........either that or he read this thread and realized that he [censored] off the wrong customer and that RWG members don't take $hit from dealers and band together as a community when it comes to BS treatment! As I said before, we could always take OUR BIZNIZ ELSEWHERE!

That's why this place is important for us collectors because this is the place where we all could share our experiences and band together as a community so that we have one strong voice. As Confucious (or was that my Grandfather????, uhmmmmmm) said: "10 sticks banded together is always stonger than one!"

    Cheers Mates.....now we're happy again!
