  1. It's certainly worth a try, I hate sending anything back.

There is a shortcut you can use also, remove the hands and dial, remove the hour wheel, then with a set of side cutters, carefully squeeze the cannon pin below the top bearing (if you examine the cannon pin with a loupe, you will see the part that the minute hand attaches to, below it a larger bearing surface, and then a narrow part, and then on the bottom a larger bearing again, you want to squeeze below the top bearing surface on the narrow part). There should be a small dent visible somewhere on this narrow part, this is supposed to provide the necessairy friction.

What you do is squeeze gently, then turn the crown and test the amount of friction, keep doing this until the friction is normal, about the same as when winding, re-assemble, and Bob (not nanuq) is you uncle...

    Good luck.

  3. Would like to buy a good quality rep but cannot choose between the Breitling Navitimer and the Rolex Daytona... (Both with Asian 7500b movement)

Which one is the best rep ?

    - Quality : which one is better made ? Which one is closer to the real watch ?

    - Reliability ?

    - Accuracy / Chronograph ?

    - ...

I heard that Rolex reps are so good such that it is very difficult to see the difference btw. a Rolex rep and a real one. Is that true ? What about the Breitling reps ?

Does anybody have both reps ? What would you advise ?

    Thanks

I would really like to get a Navitimer, but have been leary of the 7750 movement, any advice of what ot consider or look for?

For Navi, get the TT like this:

    NaviTT1024a.jpg = Joshua

For Daytona, the Vintage model is what I'd recommend , like this:

It's not perfect, but not bad either! Try putting a black croc leather on it and it looks classic and classy!

    I love them both!!!

  5. Wow! Nice combo strap and white dial on that 207! You inspire me to get that similar color strap for my 113 I got from Ztech! I'll post some pics when I get it!

I think the white dial PAMS are the most versatile model PAMs.....you could put any color strap in it and its look and personality changes! I love it!

  7. Due to the meds I have had to take as treatment of my tumor my weight blew out by 30 kilo's.

I was told by doc's that until they could get the tumor under control there was no point in my trying to lose weight as it would take a change in my medical intake to acheive any real weight loss.

Well 6 weeks back they altered my med program and I started tackling this temporary obesity, to date I have lost just over 10kgs and a lot of this is thanks to food supplements.

Instead of breakfast and lunch I have a supplement shake and snack on fresh fruit and nuts, I also have an exercise program that I devised myself (gym instructor many moons ago) and am currently hoping to be at my goal weight by Christmas this year.

  9. I have a very old D70 and It still takes good pictures!

Your first pick: Nikon AF-S DX VR 18-200 mm F3.5-5.6G IF-ED Zoom / you think this coud be good allround lens - is good!

or a 35-70 and a 70-300 for Zoom! Nikon have a very in-expensive 35-70 like the type above, but their Zooms are expensive,

not unless money is no object! On a budget? Sigma and Tamron makes good Zoom lenses! You could also look for some used

or refurbished lenses online! Unless you're going Pro, (which I don't think you do or else you'll have a D300 and above), a

35-70 and a 70-300 should be good enough!

Definitely get an external Speedlight! You need it for wide angle and Zoom shots! The built in Flash does not have enough

    power!

  10. I guess it would depend on "Who"s running the ship"... there needs to be order .. there "Needs" to be a chain of command..

what was hurt in the past thread ? "ego" ... was there right and wrong?.. depends what point of view "you" take.... so take what you need and leave the rest..

"we are the rank and file" .... the Admin team "is" the chain of command .. no one has to like it .. but it would seem it all comes down to the one issue that would break up a community .. friendships ... and singleness of purpose ... Money... that is what it seems like to me..

RWG needs money to operate.. we should not get this confused with personal gain.. nor the Admins Teams rights to govern as they see fit..

I am not patronizing ... Egos.. are alway's looking for a win-loose scenario .. there is no winner or looser in this type of jousting.. so if the thread is locked or set "invisible" maybe there is no good to come out of it except "bragging rights to a fight"

Our future .. which is the life of this forum.. one in the same .. depends on "Lokahi" Unity with harmony.. if that cannot be the goal and obtainable.. then "Hooponopono" .. the hawaiin cleansing .. or problem solving..

in other words this is a way for each member to ask (in their own minds eye) for the others forgiveness, .. if I have offended you in anyway.. weather right or wrong .. forgive me...... not "surrender".. which by the way is defined as .."moving to the winning side"

no good will come from a debate "challenging" anyone.. not to say this is wrong .. but this is snowballing into something that is really "manini"..(small.. insignigicant)

sheath the swords ... this is not a battle that will produce a win-win situation.. just cause more "bad blood""

nuff already.. let's get back to our hobby...

    AMEN!
