It is not a great job, grainy lume and not centered on the painted marker. I've been on the fence about doing it for a while, and am now set on this.
And yes, it bugs me plenty!
Having a real pain of a time trying to source engraved rehaut model crystals and gaskets.
I have a gen 36mm in bits, and Rolex will only supply if I send them the whole watch. But it has an engraved case ack and they will insist on replacing it. So it ain't going there.
Also have a rep 42mm explorer, and need a crystal and gasket for that too.
Does anyone have a contact that can help out?
Now that I have stuffed reversing wheels in my 237 and have to pull it apart, I figured I've had enough of the grainy and misaligned lume on my 237 and want to get it done properly as I do like this watch.
Any opinions on who can scrape off the old and re-lume perfectly?
Was anyone going to get into making these? I'd have to go and buy a new printer anyway, and would rather pony up for a good version than a new printer..... Just sayin'.....
Sorry, been away!
Yes, did a full gen parts bin build up. Was about a year ago, and whole thing cost $1,700, with movt service and replacement crown and tube. The Cousins supplied case CT had the crown sticking out too far and I stripped the thread on it when trying to get it closer to the case....
