The catch is that only a low beat 7750 is a 1:1 swap with a Swiss. However, an unserviced low beat is also very notorious. Most people buy it only for a immediate swap to Swiss.
With an unserviced high beat Asian the odds are better. The one in my 3717 is still working after about 4 months, but I'm planning to have it serviced soon just to be sure. In the end it's cheaper to service a working movement than a broken one - provided it can be repaired at all.
Do a search for Daytona (also 7750 w/sec @6) and you'll find lots of horror stories and just a few guys who got lucky.
