Laz, sorry to hear this
The little good news is that you actually might have an opening tool which you didn't know you had... Some duc/gaffer tape folded into a ball shape will give enough grip to turn open the case back. Most hardware stores sell precision screw drivers (1 mm, 1.2 mm) which you need to screw out the little movement holders and release the stem.
There have been plenty of useful guides posted here that will help you get the movement out.
Good luck!
A few months ago I bought this 111 sandwich dial from Davidsen, because the L Swiss L looked pretty good to me, altough there are still a lot of flaws on this dial. Unfortunately I received another - newer - dial from him with even more flaws and the L Swiss L wrong again. He told me this was a very old picture and the batch was sold out.
I decided to keep the dial for the superlumed back and switched the front with one from a standard sandwich dial. Too bad it didn't fit in a standard case...
Both the Pilot-strap and the Jones look great, but I'm not sure if I like the combination. To me the rough look of the pilot strap takes a bit away of the classic look of the Jones.
I do love the composition of Champagne with the the watch
I get sad every time I see a Fiddy on someone's wrist. I had to let go mine, because it was looking ridiculously big on my too small wrist..
Wear it well!
I've always wanted to thank this forum for helping me discover John Mayer. I really didn't know of his music, but the threads about him got me into buying his last 2 albums which I'm playing several times a week since. Great music!!!
I personally feel that 'gold star', 'funny', 'informative' and 'thanks' are the rating signs that add something extra to the forum, but we would be better off without the other ones that don't add anything to the discusssion.
@admin: would it be technically possible to leave out some of the rating signs?
You have a valid point here. Although the rating system can be very motivating it also has its drawbacks. Not only can it provoke people with the 'spam', 'disagree' and the 'wtf' signs, it also facilitates a certain laziness. I don't think an 'agree' would help any discussion further, but only make it a kind of contest who's more right or more wrong. A disagree rating without motivation can be very rude in my opinion.
Most of the time I use the rating system in the wristchecks and only to pics or reps that I really like. I prefer that over repeating other peoples pictures and cluttering the thread.
My deployant from Angus arrived yesterday (USD 30). Although it looks good, it's not closing firmly and opens up with every arm shake..
But I'm sure Angus will send out a good one to me. I keep you posted!
