  1. 2 half links is equal to 1 full link...not sure I understand either-why not just put one full link back in...or take one out to make it smaller...
  2. what the question says really, I have a gen eta date wheel I bought a while back but never fitted it, I now have a spare asian 2836-2 movement in a watch and was wondering if anyone knew if I can fit the date wheel to it or does it need a specific date wheel? im pretty sure the 2836-2 is day/date (the watch its fitted to just uses the date), is it best to just get an eta 2836-2 day/date wheel? asking before i spend the time stripping the watch incase it wont fit! answers much appreciated!

  4. about as good as they get, just accept it, wear it, enjoy it
  5. Dalton wore a tag in living daylights and a 16610 sub in liscence to kill...twas brosnan who made good use of the blue smp both quartz and auto...gen or rep though I've always found the 007 special models abit too gimmicky!
  6. Yea I checked my spam folder, and 2 other email accounts I have just incase-but no pics were found.I can however confirm the watch arrived today, perfect and as ordered...I guess josh just forgot to send the pics! Odd to note it has happend to others though.
  7. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OMEGA-SEAMASTER-PROFESSIONAL-007-LTD-EDITION-/150763736211?pt=UK_Jewelery_Watches_Watches_MensWatches_GL&hash=item231a380c93 its back! and how lovely (in an awful awful way) it is too
  8. auction was pulled once, then ended early due to member intervention...now seller is at it again... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OMEGA-SEAMASTER-PROFESSIONAL-007-LTD-EDITION-/150763736211?pt=UK_Jewelery_Watches_Watches_MensWatches_GL&hash=item231a380c93 not even a good one either
  9. hehe im sure vandal.tbh is joking hence the JK (JoKing) lol all regular posters and members are pretty cool though
  10. i had qc pics for my $148 planet oceans from PC so dont think price is a factor, plus the watch arriving is $298...like i said im not that fussed on qc pics, im pretty sure ive had them in the past where the 1st and 2nd pics (of the shipping package and timing machine) were my watch, but the rest did not have my order number attached-and after some searching i found the very same pics on here and on the "example qc pics" on the web store... i suppose a good idea would be to have the option to request them-either wait 2 or 3 days to recieve pics, or forego the pics and have the packaged shipped quicker, if its a "wear from the box with no mods" then just have it shipped, if its for say a franken project and you want to check specific things then request the pics etc.
  11. 45mm, bezel edge and date window slightly away from the lume marker give it away...looks like a rep pearl from that last shot too
  12. listening to abit of roxette right now, followed by a little manowar later before getting some work done...
  13. 4813 movements are cheap as chips...when mine died i just bought another and popped it in...the movement i had in mine originally lasted only 2 months, the one i replaced it with from cousinsuk has been going strong and keeping great time for over 9 months now.
  14. just read this in the reviews section http://www.rwg.cc/to...-rep-from-josh/ maybe josh sent mine to a different email address connected to my account...although i didnt use paypal...will just have to wait and see!
  15. this did enter my mind too as it goes...for the fact that shipping happend so quick after ordering...would josh do this though? or is he putting the odd order through this way to keep up with demand...tomorrow shall reveal all!
  16. or...could sombody have ordered the same model watch as me and go my qc pics, ok'd them, then both mine and the other buyers watch have been shipped...who knows?! will let you know tomorrow when i get the watch!
  17. nope, i checked the tracking number he sent me at time of purchase this morning, after waiting a good while for the qc pics which i usually get in about 2 to 3 days (i ordered the watch last tuesday). after waiting since then for the pics i decided to try the tracking number-the tracking shows the parcel is now in the uk with estimated delivery 21st...no qc pics were ever received... like i said im not too fussy about qc pics, so its all cool! well aslong as i get what i ordered which im pretty sure i will just wondering if anyone else has ordered lately and not had any qc pics...
  18. i am patient buddy, like i said im not fussed on qc pics as all ive bought from josh has been top notch-this is the first time ive never had a qc pic before he has shipped...(well not counting back a few years ago when i never had qc pics lol). maybe hes catching up on a back log of orders and fore-going the qc pic process? i dunno! was cool to check the tracking info just incase he had sent it without qc pics and to know itl now arrive tomorrow i was just wondering if anybody else had ordered from pc in say the past 4 weeks, not had any qc pics and just had the watches sent?
  19. ive ordered loads from pc the last 2 months, always had qc pics before shipping...but last week i ordered another watch, been waiting till now for qc pics-and thought this morning i would check the tracking just incase....which states its already left the country and should arrive tomorrow! ummm....ok il be honest im not that fussed on qc pics and trust pc to send a good product...but just wondering if anybody else hasnt recieved any qc pics latley??
  20. i sold on ebay for years as a full time job, then from around 2008 it started to go downhill for sellers....they turned the site more into a shopping outlet as apposed to its original idea of auctions...as a result now ive moved my business to websites, free ads, fares and bootsales etc-instant cash in hand and no stupid fees to deal with...at one point for every 100 quid or so i was making on ebay i was paying out around 20 quid in fees, not to mention tax at the end of every year... ebay should go back to their roots and lean more towards private sellers with auction style listings leading the way instead of leading stores having "ebay outlets" to bump theirs sales and revenue...i meen in the uk, argos has a very succesful website along with a massive chain of stores-so why the hell does it need to be on ebay too??? all ebay want is you money, the stupid rules they have thought up in regards to seller fees, free postage on certain items, paypal taking a cut for accepting payments, minimum listing days etc puts many a seller off-unless your selling thousands a month in which case they will welcome you with open arms...
  21. Agree, 8500 is something special and not that bad a price for inhouse... I do like the new po range but like I said-the original po just sings a merry song to me that I'm totally in tune with-the new versions sing slightly out of key to me! And the new 300m imo has too much emphasis on gloss and ceramic...
  22. very much so, i found in bright daylight it was pretty good, but indoors it really does look red and not orange...like you say if the 42mm is spot on, which it is, why cant they get the 45 colour right? also another big tell on the 45mm is the date window on the dial, it should have a recessed boarder-the 45mm rep doesnt have this (but it did on the older happy feet logo dials which is odd)-but again the 42mm does...its like a lot of emphasis has gone onto the 42mm 5th version to get it right but the 45 has been forgotten... i've had both versions and despite the 42 being closer to gen out of the box-my heart is still fully with the 45! despite its obvious but ultimatley pointless flaws
  23. yea bezel edge is different, they have a totally new look-more aggressive and hard edged i think-i do like the orange, but im still a bigger fan of the original planet ocean-just looks smoother imo...im not that fussed on the new 300m either, black date wheel with blue dial?? like they cutting cost or had over stock of black date wheels-white with blue dial surely?! and no wavey dial motif?? the seamaster since 1994 has been iconic for its wavey dial! the movements are a work of art, but the aesthetics im really not sure about... and ive been omega all the way since 2002!
  24. gen 45mm bezel is not a straight swap with the rep bezel...and the insert is built into the bezel. you can either glue the entire assembly in place in which case the bezel wont function (this is what i did), machine a ring to fit between case and gen bezel-the gen bezel is too wide for the rep case, or remove the insert carefully then file hell out of the back of it and around the edges until it fits flush on the rep bezel, then carefully glue it on...all too much fuss in my opinion as one who actually tried it... ive heard the 42mm gen bezel however is a straight swap with the rep-but as the bezel is so close anyway, even pearl placement, edge, colour etc its not really worth it...
