I thank you all for the compliments about my 3646! I will surely communicate that to my watchsmith who owns major credits for my projects... maybe that can soften him up! He has such a bad temper... I just do not understand why suddendly all the interest went to the 3646. IMHO this 6152 is my (our, in fact) major achievement... dont you agree? Thats why I brought this topic back from the dead... A wonderful 2008 to you all! M.

Thank you all for the compliments. Wear it well SKcheng! Happy 2008! M.

The feeling is mutual!! BTW thanks for the compliments but it was me who profited the most with your teachings! Both you and SKcheng are walking treasury chests concerning info and tech data. Most important both of you have the joy to share... an exquisite characteristic nowadays. Honored to meet you W!! Thank you for the warm welcome and I am surely looking forward to more of the same! A big thanks goes for Arch also! M. PS- Did you check the Laco?

Me: My second visit to NY this year and - among other things - the chance to meet an honorable member of the forum (Kruzer) and be again with a friend who being like family is also a kind of guardian angel(Skcheng) to me. One of the highligts of the trip was in fact this meeting because after that s**t hitted the fan for me (again) and I had to suddendly return to Portugal, feverishly, my tonsils like tennis balls and unable to swallow and with my mind totally boggled. What a lousy year for me. Kruzer: A high spirited gentleman with an unbeatable sense of humour (like a Jerry Seinfeld on acids...)! I just hope my english would be better to savour his "gourmet" level of humour. Besides that a warm sense of hosting making you feel welcome. My dear friend I was impressed with the warm welcome and the nice time spent together. Hope we can repeat this! As for your collection I cannot say anything but IMPRESSIVE. Quite a cream of the crop collection. Even the Frank Muller looked nice after a The Zigmeister touch! The only thing that missed among your collection was a vintage 6152 but we will surely take care of that... Skcheng: You know what I feel towards you (and family of course). I am honored for being your friend. In fact I feel blessed with your friendship. As you all read before this has been the worst year of my life and Sherwin has always acted as a beam for my stability. Even when problems emerged for the second time it was him who picked me up after a long drive on christmas eve and took me to his house where I felt - as usual - home. Being the worst year ever its also a year where I made a good friend! Reps: We checked all the reps around including mine. I finally got a DRSD and I am still feeling used to it (As you all know I am not a hardcore Rlx fan). Again, Kruzer has an amazing first line rep collection and a nice gen wich elevated our discussion to a phylosophical level... A rep is a rep but in fact when you handle a gen near them... no big difference (at least aesthetically) besides the price! As a conclusion I think watches (reps and gens) were only a good pretext to a meeting... What comes to mind when I remember our meeting is the really wonderful time spent together. Thank you dear friends! all the best and a wonderful 2008 for all, M. Loved to meet you man!

Thats why being a trained architect can make the whole difference on the designing process... With a powerful view like that and the house plays total indiference towards it... IMHO the "view" looks like some oil paintings hanged on the wall.

... and now for something completely different.

I bet he will end dissassembling the mvmt and sell it piece by piece... Oh god what a sacrilege! -

This thread means to me the true spirit of a forum. I believe a forum should be a platform of exchanging experience, knowledge and skills. RWG has reached maturity. Keep going guys. M. -
I have a plexi for that model. Like the ones I use on my vintages. PM if you need it. best, M.

I reckon the same. A huge step Davidsen. Keep on rocking!!!!

Gil, more than sad I think that is theft... I would not find it possible for him to act like that but human nature can be very deceiving (on some people at least). Last time we communicated his response was that everybody had their stuff back and your situation was solved. Some time ago it happened to me on this same forum that someone who offered me help on vintageizing a watch stole me a complete MM case set a corteb -

Just a thought: I wonder if there is still people on the down low here because judging from this thread no one is complaining about being scammed. On the other hand I agree that its very ugly to jump on a gen forum to do statements as he did. More than ugly I think its sad... and because of that IMHO we should not spend our precious time around that. -

I confess I am a bit shocked with all this... -
Indeed they do!!! except that they are gen hands with 40 years of age... The only difference from the ones used by panerai is the little tick on the middle of the minute hand.
-
Please correct to Cortebert c.618 'heart' ....

-
Just to share a recent discovery... ... a small run of gen blued hands! The only thing I find odd is the tick on the minute hand. I also believe they will have to be adjusted to the wheels and pinions of the mvmts to use. The pics are cr*ppy since I do not own a digital camera. I may have some to spare in the future if anyone is interested.

I would advice to keep the see-through caseback since Davidsen's solid caseback is very - and I mean very - inaccurate. You should also change the front plexi. I still have some left of the latest batch I produced so if you want one just PM me. IMHO you could also try to age the dial and hands a bit... If you want to work a bit on the case I advice Duraglit to break the mirror shine it has now. The strap looks good! best, M.

Hey Kruz, Nice pieces you got there. Congratulations! I have the little heart for you. I will also take some of my vintages to meet yours. best, M.
