  1. It is indeed but just for photo purpose...
  2. thanks for the kind words. My watchsmith rethreaded the original stem and adjusted it to the crown. The man is an artist - master Watchmaker who did repairs for the British museum during 15 years, specialized in XVII and XVIII watches and a sweet tooth for vintage stuff like IWC, Rlx and yes, Panerai -. M.
  3. As for the strap I used brown waxed thread. The strap was aged with a solution we call "jewish bitumen" and that is a product used for ageing wood and give patina on the recovering of old statuary. Its amazing because I went to have dinner with my parents and looking at the strap my mother told me the strap was too shiny for a dial aged like that and borrowed me a flask of that product telling me it would do wonders to the leather.... and it did after some rubbing. The surface slightly cracled, acquiring a worn look and a special worn shine without affecting the filling. M.
  4. One more... The strap - Strapculture - was opened, re-glued and hand re-sewn by myself to this little bastard (4 hours of work but I love the quality and looks of the strap!). M.
  5. Your opinions will be very welcome. I blasted the dial on this is one... It will have to wait for Kai and Sherwin help and Flavor Flav
  6. Looking great my friend! Very nice work. Now you will need a vintage strap to match. Is the mvmt working properly? M.
  7. 8. thats great news! Just cannot help myself to stop looking at this topic and to the picture above... you are for a dial what Caravaggio was for renaissance painting! Best, M.
  9. I am breathless! Amazing talent my friend... I have your machine waiting and as agreed sent you an email yesterday. Best, Marco
  10. Thank you dear tourby. I also need you all. Marco
  11. Hi guys, I have been off for a while due to sad reasons. I appreciate your concern and care and the PMs and e-mails I have been receiving from some of you were (and are) helping me a lot with the hard times I am going through. I sincerelly thank you all. Marco
  12. Congratulations for these great straps! Please do not forget to PM as soon as they are available. Cheers, M.
  13. You and your "bloody" sense of humour...
  14. Its an amazing rep and the return of the denim shirt! Congratulations Rolli! Wonderful work.
  15. The plexis are ready (except for the vintage 3646 and the Pam 249 - yes, with correct shape and 2mm thick as the OEM)!!! I ordered a small batch of them front and back so please PM for price if interested just do not forget to tell wich version you want, for instalation with nylon gasket (not included) or to press on the bezel directly (I have mine done this way). I will post some pics of my 6152 Rlx brevet crown with new front and back crystals as soon as I get my camera back... These new crystals make all the difference on the sturdy "look" of the watch. Cheers, M.
  16. The one I held was a gen.
  17. I am not going to argue with that but recently I had the chance to hold one in my hand and I did not notice that misalignement... Sorry if I am wrong.
  18. Just my small contribution: The 12 and 6 numerals are off-centered (misaligned with the smaller numerals around the bezel) and that one is, IMHO, a fatal flaw for this much expected model.
  19. I will be also producing some 3646 crystals. I will spend my next monday doing some for my vintages! I believe I will have other surprises soon....
