May I ask what one would usually use to tint them? I have a problem with matching the daylight color of hands to a dial.

The special thing with the Omegas seems to be that the lume has all the same color in daylight but changes only in the dark.

I get it. But more important for the look of the watch is the daylight color of the lume. So if I translate this color scheme to my watch I would use blue lume for the seconds an minute hand and green for the hour hand. And leave the dial color as is. No idea how that would look in daylight.... Isn't the blue lume usually white in daylight?

Good point. But what would look good as a contrast color to the green lume?. I think the white does not look like a contrast color. It just looks wrong.

I built this watch the other day. I would like to relume the hands to match the dial. I guess it is hard to say from the photo. But what is the best match regarding lume? Superluminova C5 or Bergeon Green? any experience? Or do I have control of the color by using more or less of the compound.

Stay here. We are a much more cultivated and forgiving bunch anyway. Not so crowded but with a lot of substance.

I am planning on reluming the hands later to make them match the dial indices. Gives me something new to learn. I wanted to see if I can build a unique modern professional diver with what is available on the internet. Quite satisfied given it was a first shot.

From the series "all kinds of stuff from the net" I a started to build a new watch. This is where I start today, lubricating the dry asian 2824. Unfortunately I let the click spring jump into oblivion so I have to take one from another movement I have lying around when I reassemble the movement:

Oh, I didn't figure that. I thought it was "Refined Watch Group". I don't know how far your skills are already. But his 101 course is pretty extensive. I had no problem to make the jump from the 6497 he uses in the course to a 2824-2 at all.
