  1. I am not sure that a gen crystal is worth the hassle to me. There are more obvious tells like the subdials. Now a genuine date wheel with the straight ones that is a different story. And it is an easy fix once you have one. I may go for it down the road.
  2. Did you do any work on them or did they fit out of the box? This is a DW case, right?
  3. Man, your endlinks look fabulous. What are these and how did you make them fit so nicely?
  4. I heard that a gen crystal will not fit the DW bezel. The bezel allegedly is too narrow and you either have to shave the crystal or open the bezel (which would then make the numbers look too close to the crystal). Any experience on that?
  5. Had it in for a complete service. I feel comfortable to dig into an 2824 or the likes but these old column wheel chronos are still too challenging for me to work on. He also brushed up the bezel and gave the numbers some lacquer. Shorter minute hand as per gen and an Athaya crown were the last touch ups. Gotta say I am quite happy with it. This will definitely get some wrist time.
  6. I am thinking about getting a white dial version as well, but these are hard to come by now at a reasonable price. I really love your PanAm. Can you give a breakdown of the parts of this build?
  7. Of all the watches here in the forum that would be the one I would pick if I had the choice.
  8. Back from over the pond. Again wearing a GMT of course:
  9. Going over the pond today. So I'm wearing this GMT.
  10. Refurbished with some aftermarket parts (dial and hands):
  11. No, it is a jump hour watch. The 12 o'clock window shows the hour. No hour hand. Hence the line "heure sautante".
  12. Found a nice Italian rubber for it. Looks almost gigeresque IMHO. Lume change still pending. Waiting for the Superluminova C5.
  13. I all honesty I think this wall clock nonsense has to stop.
  14. This watch is over 40 years old. It was made long before a PO or even a SMP was thought out. It is actually a very cheap watch with a pin lever movement and a chromed case, but it looks like a thousand bucks. Due to the chromed case these are very hard to find in good condition.
