  1. Unfortunately the recessed datewheel on the tricompax version will likely never be remedied, but I pray that the next generation of Navis will have correct, center facing single digits. I seriously avoid wearing mine from the 1st to the 9th of every month
  2. Hey mate, hope you will still be hanging around as a collector!
  3. You would think this was a pretty easy point of view to grasp, but when groups like the NRA get their knickers in a knot over such ideas as mandatory 24hr waiting periods to purchase a weapon, you have to wonder
  4. My brother killed himself not long ago. I didn't say that it wasn't tragic, simply that those that chose to kill themselves have made a choice. You do not have that option when you are facing someone with a loaded gun. All human loss is tragic, but it is more tragic when it could have been avoided.
  5. Just curious as to whether mineral crystals can be ARed? Specifically from an Asian SFSO.
  6. I don't think you'll get a definite answer here, but there is no loss in buying one and trying. Asian versions are cheap, and if it doesn't work it can be easily sold at almost the same price you buy it for. Of course he will lose his gen serial number in the process. My advice would be to live with what he has.
  7. Certainly suicides are less tragic than homicides. But guns account for a lot of those too.
  8. Andrew lists his asian version with mineral glass, no AR.
  9. I would suggest having your own AR done. I've seen many posts about the poor quality of rep AR.
  10. The difference is that all the examples you list are self inflicted poisons. Guns usually kill someone else.
  11. Sweet! Is this the version with AR?
  12. The likelihood would be very good, but your chances of surviving these events is far greater than a gun attack. Thats just silly. The problem is that handguns can be concealed. Try getting to school with a bow and arrow in your jeans. Makes all the sense in the world. What happens in a microcosm generally occurs in a macrocosm as well. Because these threads never come to a conclusion. You have people with common sense and then you have people with guns. Who wins? Great, you fix society, then you can have your guns okay? Statistics show that the odds are far far greater that you will kill somebody other than an intruder first.
  13. May I ask which dealer is selling the asian version with AR?
  14. Whatever dude. Simply put, put one gun in a room full of a hundred people and I guarantee you that at some point in time somebody is gonna get shot. I there is no gun in the room, what would the likelihood be? These days anybody can get stats to say whatever they want them to say, especially with powerful groups like the NRA involved. Nobody can deny the obvious numbers that show that gun controlled countries have lesser incidence of violent and self inflicted death, than non controlled countries. Now I'm done,..... before you shoot me
  15. Some facts comparing Canada (Gun Control) to the United States...
  16. This is a typical NRA type response. Lets use percentages to make the numbers work in our favor. As an example: Lets say in year X 10% of households own guns, and the area includes 1000 households. = 100 guns Three years later, in year Y, that number has dropped to 8% but there are now 1500 households. = 120 guns Your theory is further flawed by the fact that there are far more unregistered guns in existence.
  17. Simple fact, kids can be mean little [censored]. There were kids I teased when I was young (I still regret that). Any child that doesn't fit in, bears the brunt of endless ridicule. The jocks, the rich kids, the good looking ones, all prey of the "have nots". But lets ask why school shootings happen? Children bullying other kids certainly isn't a new thing. It is simply the fact that kids have access to weapons. Obviously walking into a crowded school with a knife or bat would have little impact, as the assailant could be quickly overpowered with very little in the way of casualties. Guns on the other hand offer these kids untouchability. They are always suicidal anyway, and know what their outcome will be, they simply want to kill people. Guns in my opinion are for the cowardly. They are for those that can not face their problems head on. You gun lovers only help to perpetuate incidences like this by your refusal to even acknowledge any correlation between the availability of guns and gun violence.
  18. Imagine what would have happened if any of those punks had access to guns. I get sick of people arguing that guns, pit bulls, or whatever dangerous thing is not a problem. Sure, a weapon in responsible hands is not a problem, but it is impossible to ensure that only the responsible people have access to them. It is so easy for a kid to grab dads gun in a moment of anger. Its a shame, but as long as there are guns on the streets, this kind of thing will happen. I live in Canada where it is very difficult to buy handguns, Yet handgun crime is rampant, thanks to our NRA controlled neighbors to south. Sorry for the rant, but I calls em as I see them.
  19. Only from an American Kid gets ahold of gun, kills 7 people, but don't even think to question the availability of guns as the problem!
  20. Great pics! Does the Asian version have AR? From your pics I see no difference.
  21. Open it over a dark colored towel, as the very small screw will fall out and is a [censored] to find (first hand experience). Then just reattach the rotor. I can almost guarantee that this is the problem.
  22. Came across these pics on a gen forum today. Sweet looking watch!
