  1. Why would it have been? I never mentioned VB, nor was I necessarily speaking about her.
  2. What is even funnier is a person with 28 posts and just over a month under his belt, pretending to know what is best for this forum
  3. What makes you think this matter hasn't been discussed privately?
  4. Understand completely D4M, but this member seems to be going far and beyond the criteria for either of your examples. Some members (Steph, Pug, Zig, etc.) have high post counts as well. But all of them have shown a purpose, to educate other members. VB, in a couple of short months is now the 7th highest poster in the history of RWG. And what have we learned from her? That she has a taste for gaudy straps? Certainly her objective is not to sell watches, she simply craves notoriety. Her web life extends far beyond RWG, and in each situation she exudes an attitude of superiority. Her presence here right now is not a good thing, as her overbearing personality is making some senior members uncomfortable. As evidenced here, she already has her followers, and with time the situation can only get worse. You saw the same situation at RWI. A forum divided is a forum that is destined for failure.
  5. First off, I never said anything about your beloved "Miss Victoria", that was her (if it is indeed a she) who stepped up and admitted to being the main offender. And if you are so hopped up on testosterone that you can't stop letting what's in your pants make your decisions for you, then thats your problem my friend. Seriously, would you reply to VBs posts so faithfully if she were a man? I think not. Same goes for a lot of you. Your telling The Zigmeister to just leave shows what kind of a person you are Corgi, and where your best interests lie.
  6. Aw, why don't you stay and fight like a man
  7. May just have to put that in my signature!
  8. Certainly, but we are talking over 3600 posts in a handful of months. Thats not friendly banter, it verges on spam if you ask me!
  9. And now that you have personally insulted me VB, it's on. If you must know, I do believe that you are using RWG as your own little "Blog". Your overwhelming post count in such a short period of time is nothing more than flooding IMO. Very little useful information has come from them. You act like a pompous know-it all, and your constant name dropping sickens me. I seriously doubt most of your fantasy world claims, and believe your are simply trying to gain credibility, not with knowledge, but with volume of posts. Man enough for ya?
  10. Okay, how did you know I was talking about you?
  11. Over the past few months I have noticed that there seem to be a lot of threads started, simply for the purpose of receiving some kind of feedback. Topics like "What do you think of cluttered dials" or "Look how many watches I have" seem to be more a cry for help from attention starved wannabes, and tend to be void of any meaningful information. Now, I don't mind partaking in the odd casual conversation, but it seems to me that RWG has been flooded with this kind of stuff of late. For me, posts with actual "content" are becoming harder to find. I know I'm not the only one that feels this way, so I thought I'd pose the question. Are there too many "fluff" posts on RWG lately?
  12. Nowhere near the weekend here in Canada, but what the hell...
  13. When looking at projects like this, its always the attention to detail that makes it or breaks it for me. In this case you have obviously done it right. That watch looks spectacular, and the Nato strap completes it nicely. Congrats on a job well done.
  14. Good movement, but the accuracy of the watch is compromised by the inaccuracy of the subdials. This watch is a replica of the Navitimer 50th Anniversary model. On the genuine the running seconds is at the 3:00 subdial (not the 9:00). The 30 minute totalizer is at the 9:00 subdial (not the 3:00). On the rep the 6:00 subdial is a dummy hand that simply trails the hour hand, whilst on the genuine it is a 12 hour totalizer. The three subdials are too far apart as well. Because of the Seagull movement, the date function is also noticeably absent. Also. on this particular model the case and bracelet were brushed, and not polished like the rep. In the only contact that I had with an owner of this particular rep, the owner complained that the bezel was extremely loose. My advice would be to stick with the 7750 based version. The Rep The Gen
  15. Agreed with the previous poster. The examples you posted are really junk, and pale in comparison to the higher priced 7750 based models available, both in function and craftsmanship. Be patient, and keep your eyes peeled in the member sales section. At some point you should be able to find a decent 7750 Bentley for under $200 shipped. Believe me, you'll be glad that you did.
  16. First, the PO Chrono is not "Ultimate". As previously mentioned, like most Omega chrono reps, the subdial spacing is all wrong, which leads to other faults on the dial such as the size of the 3, 6 & 9 as well as the undersized markers at those positions. One thing I love about this watch is the inward facing date font. As far as the movement goes, it uses the modified 7750, which in my opinion is a fairly solid motor. Automatic chrono movements are much more complicated than normal movements, thus are much more susceptible to failure, but in my experience will work nicely if treated properly. Remember however that the 7750 comes unlubricated, adn at some time will need to be serviced.
  17. Thanks for the "How to" and awesome comparison pics. I never noticed how the lugs kind of wrap around the bezel on this model. You obviously love this model!
  18. BTW, just to clarify for those who will undoubtedly see the similarities between Deseteude's beautiful Sinn, and the Breitling Navitimer. There was a period of time when Breitling was not doing very well, and the assets of the company were sold. At one point these assets were aquired by Sinn, and they actually used the Breitling inventory of parts to produce their own Navitimer. So the Sinn pictured above is not technically a rip-off of the Navi, but more of an evolution from this...
  19. Thats a classic Evo you got there Rod. Beautiful watch my friend!
  20. Thats a little freaky. Im starting to think you are some kind of nut job VB
  21. Final result. After 30 minutes both dials were easily visible in complete darkness. Any external light source pretty much negates any lume effect. My final conclusion is that the aftermarket C3 Glows a little brighter initially, but after a minute or two performs about the same as my factory UPO.
  22. After 15 minutes moth watches are easily readable, and at about even brightness.
