Gil, Please loosen the strap one notch. You've only got two hands, and the one wearing the wrist isn't getting any blood supply. Looks great.

Everyone send him a nice Smilie or two.

Excessive and impressive.

Thank you my Croatian friend. I love that watch. I'd pay for a real 7750 in that one and call it quits. BTW--I have to make my next "beach trip" to the Adriatic Coast. I think my wife and daughter would really like it. I've heard it's really beautiful.

I would say a 196 or an 029. Not historic or simple, but very close to the gens. No recessed pin issues. Only issue is the date wheels on both and the mag of the cyclops on the 029. A midwest Panerai rep had no clue my 196 was a rep.

I don't think they use in-house movements. That is why their ss models can be purchased for a reasonable price. They do use a platinum rotor on some of their watches. I don't think ETA makes one of those

While in Venice a couple of months back, I tried both of these on. They are LARGE watches. 48mm long and 39mm wide. Thick too. Any possibility these might become available?? Hope dealers are reading this. I think our Big Watch fans would be all over these. I've added one more. I'm pretty sure I tried on a version of this one too. Completely smooth and integrated crystal. Even bigger at 55mm long.

Maciek, Great pics. Is that a gen you're wearing????? No recessed pin. Thick crown. Underwater? Hmmmm.

I think you've narrowed your collection down to some of the finest without a doubt. All on my favorites list, but I'll add a FM Conquistador with 2893 (wish they made the King version) and a Pam 194 when it comes out. I too have done my buying and selling of watches and straps. It give one the opportunity to really decide what they like best.

I just ordered a 45mm orange PO from Neil. I've been holding back on buying this watch for sometime. He appears to have gotten it just right. I'm thrilled that it has the curved bracelet. It seems to make a big difference in the appearance.

Is this the "perfect" SD from Joshua? Great watch, but wrong HEV. I've been thinking about getting my first Rlx, but I'm afraid 40mm is just too small for my meat hooks. 44mm Pams are starting to look small to me. Will probably go for a 45mm ETA PO.

Why is there NO good AP RO Chhrono or Offshore rep?
Estaban replied to a topic in General Discussion
The guys at Paneristi.com seem to really like the RO as well. I've seen some incredible pics over there. Chi-Ching. Way too rich for my blood. I tried on the new slim design RO Jumbo while I was in Venice in March. Nice watch, but way over priced. $10,000 for a stainless steel watch with so-so looks. -
005, 000, 001. There may be others. The functionality of a standard 6497 is identical to the "decorated" newer versions (as long as you're comparing swiss with swiss). Even if I did have a display back, I still wouldn't care. I had a 111G with a display back. I ordered a crown as well for my 029. Now all I need is a 6mm cyclops that actually has magnification and I have the perfect rep. BTW-I always appreciate what you have to say on the board. You have good taste in watches and don't ruffle any feathers. Stephen

Save your money and get a non-display back historic with a swiss unitas. The money saved can be used for pin fix, relume, and crown if you so desire. I seriously don't understand why people spend the money on the "fancy" movements. The $150-200 premium spent seems foolish.

Sounds like you need a new watch. Bezel, screws.... I'm sure the 7750 will konk out any day. I think you should buy a gen.
-
Has anyone received one of Neils 45mm POs? The ETA version is the one I've been waiting for but I like the curved bracelet on the 42mm Pics???
-
Although I would never wear it, at least it's genuine and appears to have very nice workmanship. You have to admit that the clean lines of a Panerai lend themself to clean crusting of diamonds.
-
Ah yes, auto, not manual, thus no Unitas mov't. Bring it on. Is there an ETA movement with date at 3 and second hand at 9? I have a tough time dropping 300-400 usd on an asian movement watch (although my 196 w/ asian 7750 runs like a top after 9 months)

Just Curious... What Other Pam Models Do You Guys Want???
Estaban replied to trustywatchguy's topic in General Discussion
194 with a 6mm cyclops that actually has magnification. I have yet to see a Pam rep that has any mag at all. -
Definitely better on the 111, but I'm not sure I like the "finish" of the strap. It looks too delicate, like it's calf glove leather, rather than a tougher steer leather. I'm guessing it scratches quite easily. That said, you did a nice hommage to the XaMas. Love the buckle.
-
And when it does come out, please have a 6mm cyclops with some magnification. This can't be too tough.
-
I would much prefer a 47mm non crono with Unitas movement. Bring it on Eddie et al. That truly is the holy grail as far as I'm concerned.

Attn: Veni & The Rest Of You Strap Guys........
Estaban replied to bres3000's topic in General Discussion
You should have some type of finished strap on a sub. A Dirk, MP, Woj, Bob, Don, or TWB. I think your color choices are ok, I just don't think suede goes with the watch. -
Both guns and the people that own them suck. That's just my opinion. Sorry to offend, but I see no place for them here or any place else.

Andrew told me about his Mecha some time ago when I was looking for a Jagrbomber. The Azimuth line of watches intrigues me as much as any line. I love the Mecha Base, the Bombardier, and the Jagrbomber. Cool stuff. On my list of gens I'm looking at.
