  1. I'd get a Sinn U1 (about $1300) and an Omega SMP Chrono ($1600). You'd still have money left over to take your wife/partner/girlfriend/boyfriend out for a couple of nice meals If you just want one watch that you can sell in 1,5, or 10 years if you get sick of it and get all your money back, get a Rolex Sub or SD (used)
  2. $150 max for me. I have probably purchased 30+ straps over the past two years. Down to 8. I only have straps that are in the $80-$150 range now. You might see a couple up for sale soon I love Wojtecki, Strapmasters, ABP, and MP. I've owned Europelli, Banda, Bob, Don, OEM, Dirk, Toscana, Walter and Strapsworks. Never owned an HKTan or MF. Will have to try one some day.
  3. $300 is my max as well. I can't see spending more than that unless it has a gen movement (2893 or Valjoux 7750). What I find totally insane is spending $300 to mod a $200 rep watch.
  4. Awesome watch. If you don't like it after a week, send me a PM. I think I'll need an extra link to fit my 7 3/4 inch wrist. Wear it well.
  5. Looks great on your meat hook. I saw one at a local jeweler and it didn't look that beefy in the case. Not sure if it's for me, but it is nice looking.
  6. Clearly, this should be left to the pros.
  7. Couple of gens and a handful of reps on my list. Gens Sinn U1 (almost impossible to find at retail price). I look every day for this. I have money in hand. Oris F1 Team Chronograph Reps IWC Ingenieur Pam 194 Pam 112H (of course with superlume, upgraded crown, and cannon pin fix)
  8. Indy is correct. The handwind watches have thicker crowns. The crown on the 196 rep is pretty close to that of the gen. The subs have thick crowns as well. Great find. May have pick up one for my 029 since no one wants to buy it
  9. The only watch you should consider is an Orient GMT . The name says it all---China and Travel. I've actually never owned one, but they are supposed to be decent watches.
  10. I agree, most of us have had an experience like this. Had a SS Santos and a TT Santos, a Navitimer, a 42mm PO. Some were too dressy, some too blingy, and some just too small. My rule. If I can't wear it to the gym every day, I don't buy it.
  11. Thanks for the dual wrist shot Maciek. Looks good with the RS4. I've yet to see one of those in the states. Handful of RS6 around me, no RS4. The Ingy doesn't need to grow on me any longer. Someone pick up my 029 and I get a prize.
  12. Great suggestion. Paid in full I don't know what I'd do with all my free time if I didn't have RWG. My wife thinks the house would get cleaned more often. She's wrong.
  13. I can't take my eyes off this watch. Stunning. Clean lines, beautiful dial, ETA movement. What more can you ask.
  14. The amazing thing about this thread is that 40 people have posted. There are no redeeming qualities to the thread, but it is another example of how a silly little boy like Chronomat123 can hide behind the veil of the internet. Very sad. He puts on quite a charade. He's done it before, he'll do it again. Have a good weekend everyone.
  15. Now I remember the posts I made. They were pretty good, weren't they??? I'm guessing you haven't made any new friends here since then. Peddle your wares someplace else and I'll leave he cocksucking to you. Anyone would be a fool to do business with you. Keep it coming [censored]. I'll eat you up and spit you out. I've learned a thing or two from Neil, but I also bring my own polished swords to this duel.
  16. I know anyone can sell to anyone they want, but here is the responses I have received from our fine upstanding member Chronomat123 regarding his Seawolf, which I assume I put in the first offer on: Re:Avenger, Today, 11:39 AM Group: RWG Supporter Posts: 147 Member No.: 1,695 Joined: 29-April 06 LOL.... Esteban... we're all "buddy-buddy" now My response: I guess so. I never know when I'll need a nice Seawolf or a root canal Is the Seawolf mine??? I can send paypal if so. His response: Re:Avenger, Today, 11:49 AM Group: RWG Supporter Posts: 147 Member No.: 1,695 Joined: 29-April 06 Look, cocksucker, I wouldn't sell to you if you offered me $10,000 for it. He has made the wrong enemy for sure. Our Ashton Kutcher wannabe will think TTK is a pussy cat when I'm done with him. Nice job.
  17. I guess I've found my next watch. I wanted to see a wrist shot of the Ing. Looks pretty good. Tough to go down from 44mm, but this looks like the one.
  18. Wrist shot please. Also a shot next to a 44mm Pam. I'm a big guy and have been disappointed with the look of anything less than 44m lately. A 42.5mm PO looked very small on my wrist. Thanks
  19. I'm with David on this. I know the history, but very "Swatchlike". Bring on the 194 and I'll be happy.
  20. I used to own this in a gen. It's a beast. I almost bought Admin' watch some time ago. These watches are easily found for $1300 (less if it's grey market like Admin'). I'd do the gen if it was only $300 or $400 different.
  21. My back is a bit hairy and my right foot is a half size bigger than my left. Seriously, the worst flaw for me is the non-recessed pins and thin crowns on Pams.
  22. Haven't posted in a while. Getting a little stale with my watches. $ spent on our kitchen remodel is taking away from watch purchases. Got this strap from Kostas. I think it looks great. What do you think??
  23. The gold in the rep looks aweful. Way too yellow. The gen is more copper/rose.
  24. I used to have a gen of this watch. Your watch looks like a gen. Very nice. Here is what I'll probably wear all week. Love the Woj straps.
