  1. My watches must be able to wear multiple hats: Panerai 112 IWC Ingenieur Breitling Steelfish Cartier Santos 100 If I include a chrono, it would have to be a Panerai 188 or Omega SMP Chrono
  2. TJGladeRaider is coming to Brew City this week. I'm meeting him for a bite and watch talk. Anyone interested in joining us. We're meeting downtown at 7PM. PM me if you are in the area and want details. Thanks
  3. Get two Dons for the price of one GS. I've owned a couple GS straps. They are nice, but they are too thick. They scuff up on the edges terribly from just putting them on your wrist. Don historic!
  4. Needed something clean and classy. Had a funeral to attend, not that anyone would be looking at my watch.
  5. I exchanged many emails with him last week. No probs here.
  6. I don't have a photo of the PO on my wrist, but I found that it looked silly on me (I have a 7.5 inch wrist). The watch is not much bigger than a 44mm Pam, but the lugs are too long and the the lug width too narrow for a 45.5mm watch (I probably sound like a broken record with the amount of times I've said this). Go for a 44mm Pam Here are some pics on my wrist I've had numerous other 44mm pams (196, 029, 005, and 111). I guess I've ditched all those pics.
  7. Dive watches: Sinn U1 on rubber strap (bracelet would be around $1200) Muhle Glashutte Search and Rescue Schaumburg Aquamatic Pilot watches Azimuth Bombardier or Jagdbomber Any Ollech & Wajs chrono Glycine Airman Dress watches???
  8. All good suggestions from Archibald. Milwaukee has changed a lot since 2000. PM sent.
  9. Great find Neil. The TX 730 PVD would be my pick. Runs over $600. Good thing it doesn't have Timex written on it anywhere. Looks a bit like a Kobold Tactical.
  10. Speechless and jealous are two words that come to mind. I'd like to know which combo gets the most wrist time. I've always loved your pics! If there is ever a liquidation sale, count me in for a couple of straps and watches (love that pam251 on K.Wong tan Ostrich Shin, not something you see very often) Thanks for sharing!!
  11. Looks great. Nice addition to your pam fam. That watch is so close to the gen. Wear it well.
  12. I hope mine is sitting at home waiting for me. As much as I love the bracelet on the Ingy, i'd like to be able to switch things up a bit.
  13. I much prefer the new style rubber straps. The ribs/groove, which are flexible, lead to an incredible fit. Get more wrist time than any of my much more expensive leather straps. JMHO
  14. Rolex Sub/Air King, Omega SMP/Speedmaster, Breitling Navitimer, and IWC Ingenieur are all classics with a lengthy heritage. Cartier Tank, Breguet Classic, Jaeger LeCoultre and Heuer chronos all come to mind as well. You could add Jacob & Co as well
  15. Come on guys. We all wear fakes because they get us laid. No really, I wear reps because I like toys. Shiny toys with moving parts. That is why we like cars, bikes and electronics. It all starts with model trains, matchbox cars, erector sets, and bicycles. We just move on to more expensive and shinyer things.
  16. Roger Dubuis dress watches are very nice but a bling dive watch? I don't like this watch in the slightest. I think a Rolex Yachtmaster is a watch in the same vain, but much cleaner and nicer looking, and I don't really like Rolexes.
  17. It's a Tag. Anyone one of us could go out and buy "Tiger's watch" at our local five and dime. No big feat making a Tag rep. I could do it myself by spending $1500 on the gen and then bringing the watch to a machine shop. The IWC Ingenieur is a more substantial rep that is every bit as good, datefont aside. Mine has pretty good AR too!
  18. This watch/strap combo get the most wrist time of any of my watches. I can't tell you how nice the new rubber straps are.
  19. Some of the nicest pics I've seen posted in a long time. A great duo. Crown mod on the 172? I made a comittment when I started buying reps that I would not buy a watch that I couldn't afford the gen of. You just changed my mind. Enjoy them. They're beauts!
  20. Eddie needs to make that much money to take good care of his ladies. Ok by me.
  21. The only mod I would do to the Ingenieur is the date font. Hand length??? Please. AR? Mine looks better than my gen SMP. The IWC BP is a watch that has such limited appeal. 47mm with a crown that only a mother could love. You have to have an 8 inch wrist to wear this watch and have it look reasonable.
  22. Great to see you back. Hope you're staying away from that medicinal ganja and listening to some good tunes!
  23. I emailed Eddie about this but never heard back. Don't see the strap sold separately on Andrew's website. I want one!
  24. What a beauty. Date mag on the gen is not great as well. I would say the same as this rep. Love that watch
  25. Love that ROO. Where did you get it? Quartz? Here's what I've been wearing for a week. Love the rubber, especially since I've been working out a lot to get rid of those holiday sweets!
