  1. I'll play. Click on the pic for full sized beauty.
  2. Way too many options in that range. Here would be my top five (all used to get under the $1000) Oris TT1 Sinn U1 on a rubber strap Schaumburg Aqua Diver Meistersinger Autodate 43 Glycine Lagunare Or you could just get a sweet modded Pam rep and a lot of great straps.
  3. Good news. I paid $35 for it shipped Anyone need a 95% new beaver tail strap???? Make an offer.
  4. Mine is definitely a Time Connection strap. The hide may have indeed come from elsewhere. Great quality strap, but no longer available (at lease it's not listed)
  5. TC strap. Thanks for the props Vic. My wife even though it was handsome.
  6. I have the PVD. Love it. The velcro strap is great. Go for both the velcro and the rubber. The rubber is a bit stiff, but still nice.
  7. Not long, but from a beaver. I've bought a lot of new straps lately. Two more on the way. I like this one a lot. You don't see it very often.
  8. Dude, You lost me about two words into your post. The stainless bracelet should fit fine with the regular lug screws provided with your watch. To my knowledge, no springbars fit with the bracelet. I don't see what the problem is. Maybe you're confusing the term spring bar with lug screw.
  9. I'll play. Wore this swimming with my daughter this morning. Strapping this on when we got home. This one for tomorrow. Going to see the Packers/Vikings game.
  10. Spring bars will not work with a bracelet (at least River's won't). You need screws. Spring bars only work with straps. No bracelet, no rubber.
  11. I've owned three 111's, one 005, one 029, and one 196, and one 092, along with FOUR different bracelets from FOUR different sources. I've never even had one problem fitting the bracelets on any of the watches. My current set up is as good as an OEM bracelet on a gen watch (minus the non tapered links). I'm probably sounding like a broken record and I'm sure Davidsen will never sell a watch to me as a result, but when you get one of his watches, you're getting "a misfit". His cases are his cases, his crown guards are his crown guards, and his bracelets are his bracelets. I don't get it. Glad you got yours to fit, but I fail to see why anyone would waste their time with his "special" watches. I could have inserted many other words for "special" Here's what mine looks like on a bracelet. If you want full sized, click the pic.
  12. I wouldn't really call myself an "exotic hide guy". I do like to have a variety of textures, colors, and stitches in my collection. Here is my most recent favorite strap. I can't tell you how nice this Bob genuine gator is. Dark Aubergine. 24/24. Gorgeous stitching. Love his buckles too. Pick one up on the bay. You will be very pleased. Buy a gator in honey tan and if you don't like it I'll buy it.
  13. Very nice collection of straps and buckles. Are any of your logo buckles real??? My fave is the Metta, the Gef La Spezia in black, and the MP tan shark. My taste leans more towards exotics than you. For me, I like a great black and a great tan strap and then a bunch of fun stuff to throw on for conversation (beaver tail, ostrich leg, bony croc, gator, stingray, elephant, and ostrich). No crazy colors, just interesting hides. I'm still on the hunt for a full hide bony croc in 24/24 honey tan. I won't spend the $$ that ABP wants, but I might have Pam2Pam or Hktan make me one.
  14. I was looking to spice up my Pam strap collection. Bought a 24/24 Bob Vertigo genuine gator in Dark Aubergine. Not too many "stock" 24/24 gators out there. I've owned a lot of straps, including numerous exotics, and this strap is easily in my top five. Very well made, fine stitching, comfortable, and great color. You be the judge. Bob's screw in buckles are also the nicest I've seen. Check it out! Click on the image for monster size.
  15. I'm getting about 36 hours out of my 35 winds. Maybe my wind is a bit more than a full turn. S
  16. Bummer. I was told by a veteran of this and other boards to never wind more than 30-35 times. It is supposed to preserve the mainspring life. I hope your fix comes quickly and cheap. I know how much you like that watch S
  17. I'll play I love this watch! Click on the pic for full size.
  18. Unbeliveable watch you have there. I had a 196 with the old case. I miss it. You've obviously done a lume and new crown on that watch. The datewheel looks amazing. Tell us more!
  19. Wearing my 42mm today. I really like the rep velcro strap. Have the rubber too. Not bad, but not as supple as a pam rubber. Here's a picture. A bit of smudge at the 4/5 mark. Cleaned up now. The AR on this watch is stunning.
  20. I'm going to do this one tomorrow. Kind of pumpkin color
  21. Never owned one, but I would say his 195 or his Fiddy are the best offerings he has. He has a lot to correct on his base offerings before I'd buy one.
  22. Not a problem. Looks much better. The 187 is under appreciated in my estimation. BTW--I hope I don't loose any more markers. One doesn't bother me, but any more and I may have to buy some back
  23. Anton, Your email box is full. I've had two emails kicked back.
  24. Play nice Neil. There is a big difference between far from good and good from afar. I'm sure she's a looker.
