  1. Oops. I guess that was an obvious error. Do you really like the Davidsen 005? To me it screams rep. I know he continuously works on modding his watches, but the font ruins this one for me. Are his base/historic model cases more accurate than Josh/EL/Andrew? He emailed me that his crowns don't fit any other makers cases? Odd???
  2. Where did this exchange come from? Give it a rest. The Oris is a cool watch. I'd rather have a Sinn U1 for the same price. The dimensions are more proportional. I've tried both on. The Oris is too thick for it's diameter. The crystal is too small in diameter for the size of the case. I actually like the Williams F1 the best of all the Oris watches.
  3. Nice additions. I've owned both of those watches but no longer have them. I miss my 196. You need to get yourself a logo version (000 or 005). I've got one if you're interested
  4. Hot tea, chicken soup, and a nice warm bath might soothe your aches and pains. Get better.
  5. I don't do polls. I did contribute ideas when people made their proposals. I indicated that there are way too many IWC watches available and the ones submitted don't compare favorably to the Ingenieur in my opinion. The Ebels were ok, but Tags??? Give me a break. I said GP SH all the way. Clean case, simple and very reliable movement, and different from anything else out there.
  6. Would someone PLEASE make a Conq King. Awesome watch. The regular Conq is too small for me.
  7. Zero interest in any of these watches. The IWCs are fine, but I prefer the Ingenieur. Tag---Give me a break. I'll run to my nearest department store and pick one after the holidays. Paul Picot? The Porsche Flat Six is interesting, but have you checked out who makes this watch? Porsche. Last time I checked they make cars. They bought Eterna. The bracelet on this watch is BORING. We would be much better off with an Eterna Kontiki Chrono or GMT. Great idea for a group buy, but pretty lousy choices.
  8. I've liked Panerai watches long before I discovered RWG or any other rep forum. A friend of mine from New York was wearing one 6 or 7 years ago at a holiday party while back in our home town. I had heard of the watch but never had seen one in person. I liked it from the moment I set eyes on it. I then spent the next 5 years wearing gen Omegas and Breitlings. They are out of favor for me right now. 44mm and up is the only thing I wear now (except for my IWC Ingenieur). Panerai watches have simplicity and functionality working for them. The prices of gens are a bit high given their less than special movements (except for the new 8-day) so I'll stick with my reps on these.
  9. Got the strap from Joshua yesterday. This watch was meant to be on a strap like this. It's not a diving watch but it looks killer on a diving strap. Great quality rubber and nice pre-v buckle. Whatcha think?
  10. A buddy from Paneristi referred me to this watch. I like it and at the promo price, it's a steal. I personally like the SMG-1 the best, but it's also 4 times the price. Go for it David. If we didn't just spend $15,000 on our kitchen I'd be getting this or a Sinn U1. Still might do it. Have to sneak it by the wife!
  11. Give them some love. Those are two of my favorites. My major disappointments are the Omega POs. I've owned swiss versions of both the 42.5mm and the 45mm. The gap in the bracelet is inexcuseable. Lugs are too long. Why do you think there are 7 generations of this watch. Because there is too much wrong with them. The SMP is a much better choice.
  12. I would never buy a new Panerai, especially an easily obtainable base model such as a 111 or 005. They can be found in near mint condition regularly at Paneristi and TZ from reputable sellers. I would certainly buy a more limited edition NOS if it became available from a dealer. Those are few and far between.
  13. Logo 005 on a Woj (look familar Kostas?) I still want feedback on my crown guard/crown. I know the crown could be upgraded.
  14. I'm sure I'll ruffle some feathers with this comment, but here goes: The Tag Links, both chrono and regular, might be very good reps, but why buy one of these? You can get a gen for just over $1000 (or the chrono for $1400). Most watches in this price range never make it to the rep stage (Sinn, Fortis, Oris). Frankly, the other watches have much more appeal than Tags found in every department store.
  15. Warren, I tried on a gen Ingenieur a month ago. There is very little difference between the gen and the rep in terms of AR, surprisingly.
  16. Does mine look better or worse? I'm getting a Lello date wheel and then this watch is PERFECT. Also getting a nylon strap from EL to change things up on occasion.
  17. The Louis Vuitton watch is very nice looking. Not a fan of the PO Chrono. I like the regular SMP Chrono much better. Used to have the gen. Great watch.
  18. Ingenieur for sure. If the "experts" at Tourneau can't tell it's a rep from 3 feet away, can anyone else? The datefont is the ONLY thing that gives this one away.
  19. Of course I'm in for one. Thanks for you work on this Lello.

Lovin the Ingy. This watch is so well made and classy. Perfect size. It is a scratch magnet.
  21. Kobold for sure. Best looking of the bunch. I think the Spirt of America watch is a limited edition. I may just order one today! Great watch for $1000.
  22. One of my faves on a Toscana Capriccio. No matter what you think of Elliot L, he does have some pretty killer straps.
  23. That watch looks ridiculous on your wrist. I think it would look ridiculous on my 7 1/2 inch wrist.
  24. I totally agree. Saw that watch recently in a magazine. Love it.
