Now ... alot has been said about waterproof replicas specialy waterproof subs . I think TTK put it good when he wrote that reps are ment to REPLICATE THE LOOK NOT PERFORM AS A GEN. in thread about vintage subs , and i think i must agree withthat. Nevertheless i stept on the edge with my pauls so called perfect witch i purchased of Stephane some time ago as i was curious if it will hold the water out or not . Actually i was lacking guts and was playing with that idea for some time till i once by mistake after comming from office took a shower with the watch on ... but to my luck nothing happend . So i said why not just swimm with it and so i did ... no diving no nothing special just some dips in a local lake maybe deepest i went was 3 + meters max . I just returned from the lake today and while i was there i was thinking to photograph it for u guys at the forums so i asked a friend to wear it as i was taking the pictures ... When we came out , i put it to dry in a werry special place Note that the picture quality is low as it was taken with nokia n95 mobile phone ... Enjoy and regads LAZ

lazarini replied to cableguy's topic in General Discussion
Yea looks oka on that picture , i ordered a nato bond one from timefactors yesterday, after seeing so manny post on that i just had to have one for my sub ... when i look back now maybe i shoud also pick a black one shees . How much for the velcro one ? regards laz -
Hi man. my gf also likes the look of the watch can u be so kind and share with us the wrist size of ure better half . reason is the watch looks quite big as it is and my gf has a pettite wrist . regards laz

Hi manuel , and others . i am swimming with my new age sub , (pauls so caled perfect) with any problems so far . I know the title was about vintage models but just wanted to chime in if u guys dont mind . @ Justasgood .... any chance u coud make a 2mpix picture of that rolex tower on some white background or black background even better , woud like to have that as a background wallpaper on my comp . regards laz

vbarrett. the crown picture is same as i have on my 217 destro so i think this is oka in terms how it looks , as some mebers already replied the pam crown does not screw in as it has the cown quard and leaver that pushes down the crown when the leaver is in closed possition. When it comes to leaver beeing loose this is the case with lotsa pams some "collectors" make sure when they check the watch before sending that it closes firm some again dont thats why before sending the funds this is one of the first questions i ask about the piece they gonna send me to avoid cases like this, as its just annoying someone looking at ure wrist while the leaver flaps around freely ... dont look good at all ... hope u get a solution soon , i would not send the watch back to much of a husle ... if u cant manage the thing on ure own ... i saw a couple of posts back that FLAVOR FLAV throw his hat in the ring to assist u on that. He is a top notch guy when it comes to modding ... u just cant go wrong with him. regards laz

that is really usefull pics , as i have a submariner and she tried it looks same size as on the picture u posted . the ladyes DJ just puts the femminine side out ... so delicate but again inposing watch ... ladyes piece indeed. regards laz

Hi all. Sub "So called Pauls Perfect" that came from fellow member Stephane (great guy if i can add ) --- shower , pool , 3m lake no problem at all ... regards laz
-
Kollektor , the DJ and tag wristshoots woud be appriciated indeed if ure lady woud be willing to pose for some so i can get a general idea here going ... U know how it is when it comes to mens wrist shoots of watches plenty to find around the boards ... ladies ones are more difficult to source ... regards laz

TWP amd sir lancelot thx for the tips but cant realy see her going for the watches that size she has small wrist my 40 mm submariner is waaaay to big for her ... all do that cartier looks nice ... @ ubiquitous now that lady DJ u pictured there kinda fits the bill ... let me extend that 1 size wise looks small enough thats a 25 mm ? 2. it features minute markers witch are top of the list 3. it dont have gold inserts dials etc and no diamond inserts bling bling stuff that she dont wanna wear 4. even has the date that is not mandatory but bonus nevertheless Do u have any wrist shoots of her wearing that rollie , whats the size of her wrist if not to much to ask. In terms of watch how close is it to gen or its a fantasy model ? What kinda mech is in there and how it behaves as a timekeeper oka lotsa questions feel free not to answer And last one hehehe any simmilar DJ models with same kinda caracteristics as the strongpoints mentioned in 1-4 above . cheers laz

vbarrett thx for taking ure time appriciate ure input out of the mentioned suggestions cartier santos is the likely candidate ... all do im a bid in doubt due to movement and the non needed chrono function that only brings complication ... Im thinkin eta movement here ... i was happy with them till now and put most of trust in them ( movement part i decide as course if somethin will be wrong with the piece ill need to take it to service etc) Any other ladies out there with suggestions , or any other guys that bought somethin simillar to what im after to their ladyes . regards laz
-
Hi Kollektor thx for the input . The J12 is the only one that remotely fits the description but is to big in terms of size for her ... The DJ is good idea but no diamonds as she dont want that and i presume minute markers miss from that one 2 ? regards laz
-
Ok thx for initial replyes , let me give a more background on her. She is 26 years old , graduated 2 universities and tech savy as they can get. She works in computer company one of the biggest ones out there and dresses buisness proffesional style except fridays buisness casual wear . She is not the type to flash out werry calm nature and would not be even thinking of showing of the piece to her coworkers / friends . Therefore she is looking for a traditional watch ... wery calm wery sharp . Also wrist size is small my 40 mm sub looks on her like the 217 destro 47mm pam on me ... even do she likes biger watches she cant really pull that off just looks to weird if u catch my drift . Also she has some wishes ! the watch needs and i cant stress that enough needs to have MINUTE MARKERS . She is the most calculating person up to a minute sharp i have ever known so she woud never want a watch missin that . Date window is also there but that one she can live without in the end of the day ... So its not about the brand that much butr in my opinion rolex day date or omega constelation 35 mm kinda suite the bill here ... or there is more and i dont know where it is regards laz

Hi Guys. The day has arrived , i knew its gonna come as i saw my reps groving on her with time . Yesterday while spending a nice sunday on the lake side she finaly came out that she would like to have piece. So when comming home we snooped out a few pages and she is in between an omegas and some rollie datejusts. Now i have no experience in ladyes reps so i came to u fellas for quidence . What coud be the best choice here in terms of good rep. dont know wich ones are close to gens so if u have some info let me know . Also let me poit out that golden pieces and diamant bling bling pieces are not what she is in to . Also if u have some pics of ure beter half wearing a piece coud be appriciated . Keep em commin (the ideas and pics) regards laz
