Again, no worried about getting ripped off since I used my CC. Im just more concerned which type of watch I'll receive - the one pictured or a different rep of this watch. I was dumb enough to sell not one, but 2 closed factory black SMP back in the day because I needed $$$$. I just want to get this baby back in my possession. It's definitely one of the best reps I ever had.

Im not too worried yet. If I don't receive the watch or a tracking number - chargeback via Paypal/Credit Card.

Here's the way I see it (IMHO): 99% of those are scammers. I would even venture out and say 100% ever since finding RWG and the other watch forums. Why? Because I found more information about reps, who to trust, flaws, etc, when it comes to reps. Those other sites like to advertise a 27 jewel movement - which does not exist or Italian movements. Some, like bestswiss and their sister sites like to charge $800+ for a Sub rep when you can get one at a quarter of the price. So knowing that, in a way, they are a bunch of scammers pricing their watches 75% higher.

Staring off with my gen 42mm SFSO (with rep leather straps). By the end of the nigh, might throw on my new Super Sea Dweller (sorry, no pics yet ).

I beleive there was a 5th gen version of the PO, which was basically the same as the 4th version, but the Omega emblem raised a bit instead of directly on top of the word OMEGA on the dial.

That's one kick-ass watch. Wear it well !!!!

I saw some previous on the bay, but they had marks on the dial. If that's the case, I rather have the rep then instead of buying a marked up/damaged gen dial.

Be careful about buying gen dials off ebay. I was lucky once getting a gen Omega GMT dial, but when I purchased a gen dial for the blue version of this watch - the dial was a rep. Had the seller refund me my money. As for the comparing the rep dial to the gen dial, the gen dial will defintely have better lume. Other than that, really, no big differences. If this is the same "closed factory" watch that was circulating years back, the lume on this watch is actually pretty good for a rep. Can't wait to get mine.

Talked to BK and he said the date overlay was actually fine. Im not too worried about the date font. As for the insert, might just get the watchmaterial pearl and keep my existing insert.

Just pulled the tirgger - $235. Hope that comes with the box, but if it doesn't no big deal. I just want to make sure that it's the same watch as the one pictured. She assured me it is and if it's not, she will offer me a refund. Mods already thinking about are: Single A/R Sapphire Crystal Gen Hands Relume the dial Not too concerned about the crown being a rep. Can't wait.

Defintely. I had sent many questions to the seller several months ago, but then her listing would get deleted where she would then have to relist it. I was a bit skeptic to go about buying it. So, I guess since you were the first one to buy and verify the quality, many of us will follow suit.

I believe the new second hand came out some time this year. Personally, I think the newer version sucks - again, IMHO. I live the older version, which I have with my gen and rep SFSO.

I'd probably get the gen hands and have Vac or The Zigmeister relume the dial and maybe get the crystal single A/R. Ha, already making mods for the watch even before I buy it

Made an offer as well. Hope I get this watch as the one in the pics - definitely looking like the closed version from years past. Had 2 of them, which I sold a couple years back - now I can finally get one back

When the UPO first came out, many of us considered it to be very accurate except for the Omega emblem. Now, many of us are modding the heck out of the watch - gen dial, gen crystal, gen hands, etc which is costly, but the end results are awesome. Never got into Tags - thought they were very simple watches. However, seeing this baby, would love to add it to my collection. Either watch - you can't go wrong. If you're still undecided - get em both

I have used Cheiftang's A/R services twice for my Omegas (see my signature for links) and the results are stunning. Cant wait for another run to get my PO crystal double A/R.

Does he have a store and if so, what is the name?

Intrigued by the hype - got me a SDD. I know the usual mods can be done - CG's, insert & pearl. But what other mods can be performed? Do I need to swap the SDD bracelet and dateoverlay with a noob bracelet and overlay? Reason why I ask is that, swapping bracelet and overlays is a must if modding a MBW Sub. How good is the SDD overlay? Any difference between the two?
