  1. I remember Marrick did a White GMT project using rep and gen parts. Can't find the link from his original post - but if he sees it, hope he posts some pics. It's a great looking watch and successful project.
  2. Awesome watch - wear it well ! Excellent job by The Zigmeister too
  3. When searching on that item number - ebay returns on auction for Jacques Lamas
  4. On the good side, it seems that you have established some sort of communication with Silix, where you are able to send back the watch and receive a new one. It can be frustrating and yes, 3 months is a long journey. Could you see if Silix will be able to ship you only a replacement dial instead of you having to ship back the entire watch?
  5. Damn TTK, very nie jesture on your part - kudos to you ...BTW - I did get scammed from MICAVI (michael david from CA) trying to sell me your MBW 16610 on RWI.
  6. He's been responding to my emails. Some rather quick and some replies where Im waiting a day. I have had no issues in the past with Silix and got my fingers crossed on this transaction with him.
  7. Very nice. Can't wait to get mine ! Wear it well !
  8. Best of luck. If the watch delivered is indeed the one pictured, the seller will be quite busy this holiday season. I really want the blue face seamaster.
  9. You can get the rep 20mm, however, that was made specifically for the 3rd gen PO. Withiin the endlinks of the rubber band, there are metal stubs in the middle that was designed for the PO case, since the case had holes for these stubs so the bad can be secured along with the spring bar. What I did, I cliped off those stubs and then used a little super glue to secure the band. No issues there. What I may do, when I have some funds, is go ahead and buy a gen rubber strap. Heck, my GMT is already modded with gen parts, why not get a gen strap, right? Check out my GMT from the links in my signature.
  10. Thanks for the advice, but I'd be opening up a can a worms....I don't want to get our hobby no less our boards/community named.....gotta take one for the team
  11. Already have, but is still stings just a bit. I've always been straightforward never scamming anyone because I never wanted to be scammed as well....but there's a first for everything I guess....
  12. I actually had 2 of these watches - both black with the correct HE valve - one asian and one swiss. Due to lack of funds sold them both couple of years ago...i regret it now...defintely a keeper.
  13. Saw the same post, but he also had the Blue version which i was looking for. He posted a pic with the correct HE vavle. He even said that he would receive it first, to avoid customs, then send it to me.
  14. Yeah, but if that leads to me disclosing on what was being bought, not the best move....
  15. Has be posted there lately? I have his address - but its to a UPS Mailbox and UPS will not give me his details - full name, address and phone. He sold me and another member the same watch and of course, just kept the money. I would love to pay that [censored] a visit in person....be a nice surprise....
  16. Didnt realize the Chinatown in Chicago mirrored that of NYC's Chinatown. I thought someone had posted somethng about Maxwell street..not too sure....I live in Chicago, but never heard of reps being sold on the street.
  17. I had the same issue as well. While on vacation in P.V., the A/R on my Omega GMT was fine in the ocean and pool. But once I got back to the hotel, I decided to wash the band with some soap and water. Ran the watch under the water to clean the band and next thing you know, the crystal on the inside got all fogged up. Came home from the trip to pop the bezel off and clean the crystal - too late - the A/R was wiped away.
  18. Wonder how much gen breitling dials go for. I know Omegas (from Ofrei) can raange from $150 - $200. If you're looking for lume, contact The Zigmeister or Vac.
  19. Lets get the word out about a Chitown get together then...
  20. I beleive PT now has the Electric Blue and the Black Seamaster (2254) with the correct HE Valve placement. I was able to aquire the gen dial for the electric blue. Going to pull the trigger and get the rep, swap out the dial and the hands with the gen.
  21. Marrick - nice to hear from ya again. Are you back in NY for school?
  22. Looks like they opened a sister site in the meantime - replica-watch.cc
  23. I know when it comes to MBW, you can mod it by inserting a gen tube and crown. Can the same be done with the Noob Sub case? Just want to make sure before I go and start looking for parts to mod my Noob.
  24. I see King has 2 versions. I guess the higher end one, from what I am gathering, is correct except for the maxi dial and date font. Just like we do with our MBWs, can we swap out the dials and change the date overlays? Our we in business then or did we wait all this time for nothing? Seems like the good ol' TW SD might be a better option ?
