Get yourself new diver every couple of years or so (going to buy one anyway always new cool stuff coming out) no need to break the bank plenty of micro brands that are reasonable if a bullet proof Seiko diver not good enough.

Problem is you really want it at the time once you get it............................... Much the same is our large group of builders: the hunt is part the fun (sourcing parts) then the satisfaction of building yourself a bit later on the sales section. Then on to the next one taking a hit on cost just like those of us who serial buy/sell. In the end the same.

Well yes with gold but this may be gold and lord knows.

A lot of good advise but the answer maybe neither. I have come to the realization that I have no grail per say: I like I buy and then it is over on to the next the cost is relevant to an extent but when all said and done not really. You can get either or but then you will want another maybe not the one you did not choose in this instance. I envy those who have come to the point where they are happy with what they have, hoping to get there one day.

For you guys who have never been 436NR has we have a great private room the folks there are really cool with us and sorry guys I deserve a kick in the a** our waitress was a doll and no pic!

occb2 it was certainly a pleasure meeting you also and Frank brought a mother load of of watches , but he always does! It was great turn out with 11 of us there all the boards were present including big Vinnie's wife Victoria who looks very kindly on our little hobby. Now a few pics of the crew in our private room unfortunatly I was only one with camera so no real good pics of watches (or me LOL!), you had to be there anyway. Frank came in with 29 in two massive boxes! Left with less as the guys bought a few. Including Vinnie, as I said Victoria is a peach. Well as you can imagine not to be out done I loaded up few bags full..................... And of course our raffle watches attended. OK here we are.................

Packing , I need a porter just to get it all in one shot !
