  1. Great Idea. It's sometimes hard to keep up with all the posts. I generally read every day, but limit it down to what's "HOT" that particular week or month from my point of view. That sometimes keeps me unawere of a lot of interesting topics. I remember a member back in 2007 made a magazine called ClubSoda or something, a very interesting and fun read. I say go for it. I have a suggestion on a non-watch topic. As we are all different souls here, it would be fun with a "My day" pictorial. Where one member every week show the rest what his/hers life is all about. I think this would be interesting, it's not like we're all living in the same zipcode here. I'd be up for giving you all a insight in my own life as a start if it sounds interesting. I don't know, just like the idea of getting under the skin of the diversity of our lives. No matter what, great initiative. NORing
  2. Well, still can't get my latest of my wrist. Think it will be on the whole weekend Have a nice weekend, NORing
  3. @Lani: Haha, heldiggris is what we use in Norway (direct transelation: Lucky Pig!) But yes I've been lucky, maybe 2010 will bring me troubles.... @LHOOQ: Despite increased Magic no other skills have felt any deterioration. I have however been struggling with healing powers after the mountain of food and alcohol that was consumed during the hollidays;) @Everyone: Thank you for kind words. This will be a keeper;) NORing
  4. Haha Wimpie, I'm going to make the rep as close to the original as possible. Now I have a reference. It was a $$ raffle, but I ended up paying 10% of original PO costs if I count in all the raffle money I've used these last 3 years. As for winning, I've won 4 and still counting
  5. Posted this on RWI and for now edited here for the ones of you that only play one field. I finally got a package in the mail, today. Christmas shipping has been slower than usual this year and this one kept me standing by the mailbox every day at 11 am. (Edit; as a Norwegian I was afraid this would kick my wallet with taxes in this bankrupt month of January. No fees or taxes at all ) Now to the watch; I was especially eager to get my hands on this one. A white dial 45.5mm Planet Ocean. I have the rep (won here at RWG) and had been saving up for som gen parts for it to be bought in January. I absolutely love how versatile the watch is and how much it changes in apparence when changing strap. It's a sporty gentlemans watch. No wonder James Bond wear one. The differences between rep and gen are more complex than I'd remember it from the AD. The overall feel of the rep is great, but the small details on the gen are miles ahead. Apart from the obvious (dial, hands, lume, etc. all interchangeble on rep) the crown is smoother to wind, textures and metalworks are a lot finer than on the rep. It's truly a watch worth owning. The watch came safely in a outer box filled with plastic airpockets. Original outer Omega box, then the red Omega leather box. Manual and all papers and certificates of course with matching numbers. Here are som quick and dirty pics without lightbox. Quick lumeshoot from my dark bathroom Out the window in an apropriate setting for a toolwatch
  6. Haha, I think you just wrote an outline to the script of the next James Bond movie. You also actually gave Q the ultimate toolwatch to suit up Mr. Bond with. I love it
  7. Looks great Deniz I have worn the PO I got from Lani 3 out of 4 days since it arrived. It is most definitively a allround watch. Congrats and welcome to the club:)
  8. Thanks guys:) My girlfriend ordered it from my local AD so I'm not sure where they got it from. But I'll ask next time im by.I love it for being simple and class. Also it holds my big watches without any trouble.
  9. Thanks Deniz;) Hope you had a nice christmas celebration and I wish you a happy new year
  10. Some problems with photobcket, but that should fix it self some time. Hope you can see the pictures.
  11. As some of you know we celebrate christmas the 24th of dec in Norway. My girlfriend got me this beauty of a box. (Watches not included, hehe...) This is what I've cut my collection down to. I'm happy for now (at least for 2009 ) Have a GEN PO on they way in the mail and some watches off to service. If you're looking for the Milgauss, I decided to give that away to another member (best friend) [vortx] as a christmas present. I have won 3 watches in a row now and felt it needed another more deserving home. Merry Christmas all
  12. Kind of true when it comes to me. I first won the rep PO, I then went ahead and won the GEN PO
  13. thank you all for contributing:) Christmas is not showing to be 1 dimentional. Merry Christmas and a happy new year everyone
  14. We got 15 inches of snow in less than 24 hours here in Stavanger/Norway this weekend...I love it and it's supposed to stay this way over christmas. Darkness light up by white snow, candles all over the livingroom, family, good traditional x-mas dinner and a couple of good bottles of dark christmas ale. I LOVE IT! As posted in my "Indoor/outdoor" topic:)
  15. "It had been a wonderful evening and what I needed now, to give it the perfect ending, was a little of the Ludwig Van." Good night everyone. Keep posting, love to see your pictures

  18. I'd be interested as long as it's 44mm+ I need a toolwatch that's actually proven waterproof. I'd actually buy 2 or more because I have many around me that could use something like this. A bespoke watch that's not available for the mainstream. Like the idea Pictures please...
  19. Thank you very much. I love to read background stuff on these brands. Especially Panerai as it's a very interesting story. I had it in my mind that it belonged to the story that Mr Stallone actually had some ownership in the company as well? And what was this story about it being found a big reserve of old Rolex movements hidden in the factory after a merge? All this rumors anyone?
  20. Is this some kind of kleanup we do every year? I must have missed last years! As an observer and reader of the forum, I can not say that I have felt that anyone has been treated more or less than others. I think this forum is one of the most helpfull and kind forums I have ever been on. But I have never demanded anything, and I will never do either. I might ask questions and I'm happy when someone answers me. One lesson I think most have learned, that have been into rep watches for at least a couple of years. Things take time, thats how it is. The dealers are not retailers we can visit whenever we like. If something takes half a year or one year to complete, then that's what it takes. Dealers can improve, I'm not saying to put up with insane deliveries, but to be fair this is not really trademark products. And one can choose whom to buy from. When I order a watch I do not start asking questions before at least 25 days has gone by. If one can not live with this, then I suggest one starts collecting something more available, like flowers in the wood or rocks at the beach. If someone privatly states that he will help you, then there are no deadlines if you ask me. When someone is active on a forum and gets involved, it's up to you to follow up and do the same kind of work to show a different side of the coin if you feel the need. By just criticizing, there are no lessons learned. If you feel that something needs to be showed differently, then show me the difference. You can however compliment someone of their work without the need to explain. Most of the 23205 members have different backgrounds and/or different cultures, but everyone knows what a compliment is. I was not going to get involved, but I just feel people are expecting a little bit too much sometimes. It's just my 0.114546225NOK (0.02 U.S. dollars = 0.114546225 Norwegian kroner)
  21. No comment on my latin humor? I was very pleased with my post here....strange
  22. More power to you! Frame the bracelet, put it on the wall and name it "Cogita ante salis."
