Dear forum friends,
a few years ago I made a promise to several members over here that I would come back on the situation of my kidney cancer when
there was a change.
Unfortunately there is a change , luckily not life threatening , but serious enough the get hospitalized for at least a week.
After a tumor free period of 3 1/2 years 2 new malignant tumors were discovered.
One is still small and not rapidly growing which is located in my skull and the other one is much bigger located in my right hand 4th rib and causing a lot
of pain at the moment.
Monday the 3rd of October I will be operated and the surgeon will cut out a part of my rib.
The tumor in my skull will monitored carefully but a surgical intervention isn't needed at the moment.
If I’m lucky I will only have to stay in the hospital for 1 week and can go home to recover.
The surgeon told me that it will be a painful operation and that I will have to take a lot of pain medication for the weeks to follow.
I hope that I can type my first post a few days after the operation but I’m not shure.
( if my wife allows me to bring my laptop to the hospital )
This community gave me a lot of fun and also the opportunity to think about something else then the f***** kidney cancer and I would like to pick up my normal life as soon as possible.
By the way if anyone around has experience with missing a part of a rib let me know what ica expect.
Carpe Diem
