  1. One day I'll plump for a high end big crown, but for now I'm having fun welding modding my cases. This one is a silix case with lots of meat slapped on, took quite sometime ... Yea yea a lot of work you say, but for me that's half the hobby and enjoyment in creating a unique watch. The specs. silix big crown case+ steroid welds, drilled lugs, chamfered. Athaya v2 crown clark plexi/ shaved down considerably serviced ETA 2846 hr old minute hand / Clark hour/ oshk big ball. HR dial / relumed and made tropic gloss with 6 hour marker slightly lighter. i wanted a single line BC not seen many/ some would say it's 'wrong' but Meh. brass bezel raffles insert ofrei pearl. fat bars few pics, I'm no photographer though just iPhone shots in afraid, tried to capture the gloss.
  2. It's all the rage these days, you're just not one of the cool kids obviously
  3. Squares have takes a backseat whilst I figure out some dials . tackled the silix BC case, yeah it's a lot of work, but that's part of the enjoyment
  4. The more I look at that case the worse it gets.
  5. I'd definately change that DW, but rest looks nice.
  6. Umpa the top is a rep case which I laser welded and I'm making it into a pcg 1675. Don't give up !
  7. here is a pic on top of my gen 66, i have taken the case down quite substantially, that's a 5mm crown also. (I haven't shaped yet or finished my cgs) first stages.
  8. There's so many variables to consider, even when you have been extremely cautious in all aspects, sometimes you just get served. awful it ended that way.. Poor fella
  9. hmm, The crown guard is wrong proportionally, the cg should ark further into the crown tube area on boytom side than on top, I've been staring at many refrence pics for my own scg builds, but hey that's just my opinion. However looks like there's enough meat to make it turn out nice. Tube looks drilled nice n high also.
  10. Weird choice of pictures to share, I think this guys business has gone boom overnight, maybe that's the reason for crap pics as his eBay pictures and Instagram pictures are very nice... Who knows, however slightly dubious.
  11. I have a gen 1675 and I'm modding a cartel 1655 I currently have it at the same thickness as I took is down on a lathe it's close !
  12. Maybe the ones I asked about were the expensive ones then lol $600 for a tropic gmt and a Tudor $500 .
  13. This Tonny fella isn't cheap, I doubt he sells cases for $300 when his dials go for more than that, but you never know! Getting a cheap pcg or scg is probably very hard to come by for $300, look into laser welding a case, it's not easily accessible, but not impossible, that's how I do my cases.
  14. I prefer the yuki, hopefully they will make a better version in the new year if we all nag enough. for $600 it's a great piece :)
  15. I've got a gmt dial from him incoming we will see.. Same quality as ingod it looks like.
  16. Well I'm going for the 'burford' dial in mine I'm pretty sure those were Matt.
  17. I'm using a 1655 bezel on my 6538a here's a pic if that helps at all
  18. Whatever it is it's gonna be the [censored]!
  19. I'll definitely be watching this one in the cinema !
