    1016 hands

HR 13mm hands are out of stock, the minute hand isNOT 13mm even though the picture Is the same they are completely different hands. Or am I wrong? What hands are they exactly the 5513 hands?

    1016 hands

I spoke to his son and he says there will be new version of handsets available for 5512/3 at same cost ($95) he only has a few in hand ATM Pretty steep for some ETA hands .... Only if they are Exceedingly close to gen could I see any of us buying them.

It will be interesting to see Phongs new ETA handsets when they come up for sale .
  8. I really like these slow beat eta's, after a service they don't miss a beat

    Rolex 6542 Gmt

Joeys bezel wasn't out when I bought mine from phong, I took the explorer route and phong bezel fits the case beautifully, but did not fit my Tiger case v2 so well... It was too big and overhung the sides too much. Here it is
  13. Thanks chaps, @highoey yeah shame they are so expensive probably why not many jewelers/ watchmakers have them.
  14. Finally got the parts together and made the final decision on certain details. The case was rewelded as I wasn't completely convinced in my first pass. Considering there are no original parts on this build its turned out better than I had imagined, saying that there are some top shelf parts in addition. I decided on TC hands, the hour hand is beautifully proportioned and as close to gen as I could find without broaching similar handsets in the same price bracket, plus TC is a real nice bloke to deal with . I replated them in nickel to add a nice aged aspect to match the dial . The plexi is absolutely stunning, it's a cwp t19 the clarity and done shape is far superior to any aftermarket crystal I've had, and I've pretty much tried them all. Sure it's 3 times the price of a Clark, but there is a huge huge difference . The bezel is Phong, again very nicely made compared to other aftermarket counterparts, great teeth. Ayatha 700 crown tube Swiss 2846 serviced Insert is a yuki bleached Drilled out the case , and bracelet to accommodate thick bars. Dial was aged and slow baked and given a tropical guilt hue. It seems pretty simple reading that, but it's taken me 8/9 months to complete! It's rare I complete a build and are %100 convinced, but this time I sure am Its my bday soon so hopefully I'll get myself a camera! so for now have some crap iPhone pics :-/
  15. I know yuki has a case, plus there are some Vietnamese cases out there, but where's the fun in that I'm working on it!
  16. I haven't had much time recently to work on my builds, I keep buying parts though Evidently I had a free day and Managed to get round to shaping a few cases i laser welded in previous months. All three cases are different makers and all had a substantial amount of material welded on to create each specific reference as accurate as I could. I had added another smaller amount to my pcg case to try and create the correct look (thanks for the heads up dbane) it's not perfect but I'm happy with it now. The 'eagle beak' is a cartel 'stailess steel' case, I had to add what it felt like an entire wheel of stainless wire ....dam these cases are so stubby! But it turned out nice. The other mystery case has nice sloping lugs compared to the cartel fat cases more appropriate for a pcg, but too late now, case was also welded and shaped. All cases drilled to 1.3mm holes for fatty sprinbars a was thinking to reshamfer the cases but was going for a worn look on the pcg and EB so maybe a box of nails and weak polish instead. All crowns are Athayas no retapping needed which is great, plus they are unbeatable for the money. I have a few dials in mind for the EB case but nobody makes a MK1 dial like this So I will have a friend design one , and get it made. Reference images of eagle beak Also now Yuki makes the slightly fat font insert with a red triangle which is what I will use for the EB bezel insert. Here are some crap pics of cases
