  1. They will both be dependent on a number of things, however what might be interesting is to see how quickly you get the QC's photos and your whole experience. Both are very, very good so long as they can readily get the watch/es into stock. I have used both extensively and due to customer service and dealings with Andrew (Trusty) favour him now. Regards AJ (UK)
  2. At the bottom of the homepage is a full list of TD's in alphabetical order. AJ
  3. Whoopee, welcome to the Club! You'll love it here. Regards AJ
  4. Loving my BP, just fitted new stem and crown!
  5. Simple answer, get the lugs removed like the Baron DSSD I just bought from Legend that BP created!
  6. Mike Put me down for three when you announce it and to coin the Mike phrase for the support of the Forum: 'JUST DO IT'' $3 a month is very, very loose change for everyone surely, in my first year here I have learned so much and made some great pals let alone won no less than 2 raffles :clap2: :clap2: Regards AJ
  7. Many thanks You have to get one, not only is it excellent, but they made it especially for me with no additional holes, just the ones I wanted! I have another 2 BP's coming, they are simply great! Regards AJ
  8. Managing to get a nice 'worn' semi polished finish on the new Peter Croc BP strap!
  9. Have you kept Andrew fully informed with tracking details etc as I would be surprised if he did not honour this with you. Regards AJ

  12. Some certainly do, however do your research, compare costs and place your order. The TD's are very helpful, might I suggest that you send them a mail once you've decided to make sure they have them in stock or can get it prior to ordering as teh order process will be automated even if the watch is not in stock. Regards AJ
  13. Canieo Welcome to the Forum, you will learn an awful lot here as those new members have before you. The comment 'Buy the member and not the watch' is aimed at M2M sales (member to member sales). There has been a few incidents were new members join and who unfortunately have nothing but malicious intent to fraudulently scam other members out of money by advertising seemingly good value watches and some members rush in to buy. No one knows if they have sold the item (often not even in their possession). As such, the adage 'seems to good to be true' should ring true and unless the member has some track record and demonstrable due diligence can be sought, buying the member who has been around, has lots of posts and great feedback is the one to buy from to take comfort much the same as an ebay seller with good track record. Now if you're talking Trusted Dealers (TD's) that very different, you can use all of them safe in the knowledge that they will provide you good service and good products. The main ones being: Andrew at Tursty Time Angus at Puretime Joshua at Perfect clones Toro Torobravos Enjoy yourself Regards AJ
  14. I did a quick thread the other week on this Plop that I bought, serviced and refinished. It's a great watch, runs really well, happy to get wet (not diving though unles checked) and great value for money. I particularly like teh Sharks tooth bracelet and deployant buckle. At the price to teh link you have what can go wrong! AJ
  15. On the train home from the City of London one of my fellow commuters got the news via twitter and shouted the sad news to everyone! Within seconds another commuter started singing 'free, Nelson Mendela' it was an incredibly poignant moment! Rest we'll Mr Mendela, your work here is done. Best regards Andy
  16. 6 posts in 4 years our friend might have been in hibernation for the majority of that time! He'll I know some of the active guys to do 6 posts in 4 mins! AJ
  17. Richard I am unsure what that particular gear does! However when the watch smith fully serviced and checked the watch everything worked perfectly so I guess it doesn't need them. Regards AJ
  18. IWC BP with new Peter's custom strap
  19. I have just received the following photos of Version 2 of the watch case being made for my 1/4 Repeating pocket watch movement that I first shared here a month or so ago. Since buying the movement it has been serviced and my expert pocket watchsmith has confirmed that the movement was made by none other than Jaeger Le Coutre by virtue of several 'tells'. That is very exciting as although I paid just under $1k, I would have been charged more I suspect if the seller had known its likely origin! Anyway, we are getting very close to finishing this beautiful and very rare timepiece, once finished I will share photos. Best regards AJ
  20. Strap just arrived for mine today from Peter, bespokely crafted in Black Croc with white stitch and only 4 holes, I could have actually just gone 1 but stopped short and just said less holes on show. New Crown set coming as usual problem of stripped thread I fear! I love this watch and just bought a 5002 sister for her. AJ
  21. Greta advice Pete. My Plop came with this lovely strap, all it needed was a damn good ultrasound cleaning and came up like new. Regards AJ
  22. Is that the same Pete I take regular advice from and then sometimes ignore? I think he's a stand up guy but don't tell anyone or his Street Cred is blown!
