Request from IWC experts re Top Gun 46mm without case logo
astonjenks posted a topic in The IWC Area
Guys As an 8 inch wrist guy I like my watches big and wondered if anyone could put together a Top Gun 46mm in a Brushed Big Pilot case as I really dislike the Top Gun logo on the case, I wouldn't mind if the case was SS or Black finish, just lose the logo! Any advice, thoughts I would be grateful. Regards AJ -

The Insurance Industry is a big Industry Mike and I am just speaking aloud that if it ever happens to a friend or personally, any price to feel we have screened some of the bad guys out and let them go elsewhere might just stop one bad deal. The guys that might lose the 4 watches this week that I know of will cost them over $1000, that stinks, anything we can do to reduce that must be worthy of consideration? AJ

It does seem a bloody shame that we have guys coming in that lack the integrity and trust that the vast majority of members have, however I am frequently surprised by some of the purchases made and questions unanswered by experienced members from new members or members without any feedback for a period of time, this has happened to two great members only this week that I do not believe has been resolved with no less than 4 purchases. Might it be worth considering that to become a member one is required to pay a deposit, a debenture of say $100, this could a) dissuade these monkeys from coming here to sell their wares or pretend wares and could be used as an Insurance policy should that happen. I am sure like me, all of the trusting members who enjoy being part of the Forum and community would support such an initiative and I am a firm believer in naming and shaming to protect our fellow members. Regards AJ

Having raced Astons for some 15 years from 1962 Lightweight DB4's (think 950kgs with 450bhp Maclaren and Ferrai F40 eater) to DBRS9's in Le Mans trim it is fair to say that I have a soft spot for the Astons. I tried to add a link to a coupel of race wins in my old 650 bhp V8 but couldn't so if anyone fancies seeing it drop me a pm and i will give you the link. Regards AJ

Secured by a great fellow member so no longer available Unique opportunity to get a great priced Marlin new Fiddy with options to select mods Will be posted on Sales thread once I receive her or get in early and choose final options. For those of my eagle eyed PAM fellow members, you will have seen that a couple of weeks ago I picked up the EL Fiddy with gen crystal with the intention to take her to the next level. So Marlin and I looked at all our options and decided on the work that needed doing and set to work on buying certain parts for the work, this included 2 brand new Noob Fiddy's, the first is for a good friend here Ben and the second to swap out the bridges. So here's the thing, I will have a Marlin modded Asian movement Fiddy with EL bridges up for grabs in a few weeks and will be looking to sell her. At the moment she will be given the 'Standard' Marlin treatment, if Marlins stunning work can be called standard! however could as easily receive additional works such as Y incabloc, Swiss movement and so on. This Fiddy will be available in two/three weeks time and can either be sent via me in the UK or direct from Marlin in the US. I'm open to offers on this stunning new Fiddy with Marlin mods at around $600. Photo is only for illustration
