  1. Could be taken one of two ways I guess Richard! I got on okay with the Rolex Challenger however this is simply ridiculous. But is bloody awful for sure. Regards AJ
  2. Swdivad, let's see a post of your 372 for sale please? Regards AJ
  3. Now I am known to like a Big Watch but that's just crazy let alone an appalling job on the lume! Reagrds AJ
  4. That's simply not nice! I had a Joiner Apprentice years ago that was a shareholder in Band Aid the plaster company or it would seem as he constantly tried to remove fingers on an ongoing basis! I urged him to seek another profession! Hope it doesn't give you too much trouble. Happy Xmas to all. Best regards AJ
  5. Well done chaps, it differs as well from my 5004 as the datewheel is Black on White whereas mine in White on Black. Either way, this is my daily beater and size wise for my 8 inch wrist it is perfect. AJ
  6. That is the 5002 window surround with 5004 numbers! There are a couple of Saint models. Regards AJ
  7. A better photo of my Peter Strap showing the gorgeous Croc which is wearing in wonderfully, I have bought another two from him and will share these when they come. Regards AJ
  8. Big Pilot day today, but which one? AJ
  9. Richard you're taking it a tad too far now..................... AJ
  10. I think you're right. I would guess you're a 6.5 - 6.75 inch wrist. Still, you can get away with some 40-42 stunners that look like I've borrowed my kids watch when I wear them. There are some real stunners out there that I would love to wear but under 44 tends to feel and look just too small for me. Regards AJ
  11. MM You're right, the 5002 does appear smaller due to the numbers being positioned nearer the centre of the dial as well as there being more markings which 'close' it down a tad. The 5002 is however more in the style of the original Big Pilots dials. When you ask does it wear bigger than a PAM, I assume you mean a 44mm PAM? If so then yes it does a tad even though there is only a few mm's in the overall lug to lug size, see attached. I do not have a 47 PAM here at the moment due to work being done on them by Marlin, however I would guess that the BP wears very similar to a 47 PAM, hope that helps. Regards AJ.
  12. Looks FAB Richard! If I still had my AC 427 Cobra I'd grab the goggles and hat from you! Best regards AJ
  13. I've ordered the same strap for my 5002 with natural stitching! peters strap are FAB AJ
  14. Hi MM From the very end of each lug it measures 55mm Regards AJ
  15. I know what you mean my good friend, I only just remembered I have the stunning Baron arriving this week from Legend! AJ PS I do not think anytime soon I will let either of these IWC's go, I have just ordered another Peter Croc strap for the 5002 as they are awesome.
  16. Then I best send it to you Mike Regards AJ
  17. Yes Mike in your photo, opposite on mine! The 5002 is a real take on the original 30/40's Pilot Watches which have become very, very popular again. AJ
  18. Dear Fellow members Today I had a couple of new watches arrive one from MOAB the Breitling Legende originally from Pete (well traveled in a few weeks!) and a lovely IWC Big Pilot 5002 from our friend in the Philippines Richard Lawson. The 5002 BP was due to the fact that I love my BP5004 and have posted numerous photos of her in the last few months especially when I had the new Peter Croc fitted which is sublime. I was keen to see and feel the difference between the older, more traditional model and the later 5004. I polished and cleaned the 5002 and have attached a few photos of the girls together, which do I prefer? I'm unsure, they both have a different feel and look but clearly have the same lineage, I'm very pleased! Regards AJ
  19. Looks amazing, let me know when I can order mine? Regards AJ
  20. Just received this yesterday in an M2M sale, its not for me so is in the sales thread, however it works and looks 1st class for the right person complete with Orange rubber also!
  21. Thanks for your swift responses and thoughts guys, solid caseback is back on! Regards AJ
  22. Well that's what my two daughters keep telling me, 1 week to go! I am sporting my lovely PAM029 today. Regards AJ
  23. Guys Help me out here as I would like your opinion on 'To display or not to display' the Beautifully serviced 2836-2 Swiss movement in one of my favorite PAM's the Tuxedo dialed GMT 029. I recently purchased a lovely PAM display caseback and swapped her out for the solid (correct) caseback and am in two minds to keep her on display or cover her up, what do you think? Regards AJ
  24. I second that and have empathy with health issues! Regards AJ
