  1. Thank you both, much apreciated
  2. COnsidering the fact ive been recently exposed to this world( wich is very addicting I might add) I'd have to say that I agree on the fact the newer reps do represent higher quality not just mehcanical but in detail when compared to it's gen counter-part. I'd have to say for me at the moment I would be happy with: Tag Link crono blue dial polished bezel Navitimer Serie Special all white PO 4th gen black dial PO crono ulitmate orange bezel orange rubber strap Rolex YachtMaster VC Overseas white dial Not a bad list for a noob like myself But rest assured, that list will change and it will grow with time. Heck each time i visit one of the dealers site's i fall in love with even more watches.
  3. Welcome aboard, indeed a very nice collection of fine classy watches...You need a sporty watch to balance a bit. Maybe a Tag? Maybe Navi? How about a PO? Either way Welcome!
  4. Very nice...loving that blue dial, it's such a change from the normal black and dark blue dials.
  5. Welcome...your new addiction is waiting for you...Please keep your credit cards and cash with you at all times, you will be needing them.
  6. Ok so i see that the dealers have navitimers with both 3,6,9 and 6,9,12 sub dial configurations... Is that a sign of the newer or older version reps. I ask becasue they all come in 7750 movement although some mention the 28,800 bph and other say 7750b1 still unclear if they are the same or not..but back on topic. Lately a thread was made regarding the recessed datewheel and it's font and someone mentioned that due to the subdial arrangement of the 3.6.9 an extra gear is needed wich causes the datewheel to be recessed back soo far.. Is it not the case on the 6,9,12 becasue it is a newer version? or there are simply two sub dial layouts from factory to begin with? And if tehre is a newer version of the navi how can i tell wich is wich?
  7. Wow that is a very nice gesture, I applaud you Jon..There are few people left on this earth who would do something like that.
  8. Indeed that SLR is very enticing. nd i'm not a fan of the rubber straps
  9. Very nice watch almost makes me think twice about the white Navi that I want.
  10. Don't owna tag yet, but i'm still young...Regardless if it's gen or rep i'll own a few. Love the design and it's low-key status.
  11. This is defintely going to be my first rep, and from the reviews and the comments posted here, I am certain I will be happy with my choice. Ohh and for details sake, I plan to order the polished bezel with blue dial face. And interesting enough, my second rep will be a Breitling Navi in all white...but that one will have to wait another month.

    Asia 2813

Ah much thanks, all these movements and their numbers, ive seen a few that seem "standard" issue for reps depending if chrono or not, but this one had me thinking maybe it was a not soo common movement, but previously used. Again thank you Pugwash

    Asia 2813

So the dealers are offeinr ga great deal on both the Swiss movmt. and Asia movmt. on the Superocean Steelfish. Looks like a nice watch, I imagine one of the veterans will come up with a nice review of the watch soon. But my question is, the asia 2813 movement , anybody with experiance on this movement?
  14. As a fellow New Memebr my self, i'd like to extend the welcome to RWG, trust me these guys know what their talking about and you'll get a friendly response to any question you might have. And on a side note, I must agree just skimming through the threads on these boards you will develop an addiction.
  15. Although my worries did not include any jail time haha, I was however concerned with delivery..and much thanks to you all for clearing that up for me. Once again i just have to say without a site like this, and the great members it ahs who are willing to help out I know i would be one lost soul when it came to rep watches. I guess in the future it will be my responsibility as well to share the knowledge I gain with new memebrs.
  16. Although it is not complete i give it two thumbs up.. But he should invest in making at least one cartrsidge game replica to go along with this masterpiece in retro- gaming.
  17. Well of course that makes a lot of sense, I guess that is part of bei9ng a noob, asking ridiculous questions that have obvious answers. So to not make this thread completely useless... Should i be worried about delivery to the United States?
  18. Not that i don't trust those dealers who are overseas, I have read many great stories from many satisfied customers with their overseas orders, just wondering since i'm sure it would cut down on delivery time. If not, then no big deal. I'll keep sporting my very cheaply made Yatchmaster i received as a gift a few years back at least until i can pick out which watch..too many options I like.. Thanks in advance
  19. Any of the dealers here carry this watch, it looks incredible. I hope i'm not asking in the wrong section, If i am pardon my noobness
  20. i have been looking at a Tag Link crono w/ blac face and noticed a few reviews claiming the watch is a great rep but there is some sub dial spacing problem..what excalty does it mean when that is mentioned? Basically what is considred the sub-dial, and how would it be "off" or off centered? Thanks in advance!
  21. Oh I can defintely say, I have lost a few nights of sleep just reading and reading...But like I said before it gets to the point were it eother stops making sense, or the terms go way past the head of a noob like me..lol Besides I figure it's better to talk to a person via a forum than to just read single sided websites that could easily just be tryign to push you what they have in stock, regardless of any details you might be looking for. Example.. Soo far ive narrrowed my search to 2 options as my first purchase (although i plan to buy more..I love watches) A Tag Link crono /black or blue Or an Omega Planet Ocean crono /black/SS And without reading soo much I would have bnought it already one of the two, but luckily i will wait a few days and get some research in. Ohh nad a big thanks in advance to anyone who gives me a hand with either watch. either from experiance or just previous research.
  22. Hello, Id like to start by saying i'm in the process of aquiring my first rep watch and after spending hours upon hours on the net reading guides and looking at pictures, it al seems to sound or look the same. So I decided on getting myself on a forum were I can talk to real people, and afer searching far and wide i'm happy to say I found a great place here at RWG and I know i'll be able to find what i'm looking for and feel secure about the purchase as well.
  23. I hate seeing this as my first post, but theres little I can do about it. Greetings to all. Those pics are fantastic, and ive seen quite a few, due to the fact i'm currently in the market for one of these Link Chronos. Although i somehow admire the flashyness of the blue face. But you are correct in saying the grey is more sophisticated.
