Thank you By-Tor i'm glad it was you who replied...You seem to be full of knowledge and wiling to share it...By the way nice SMP (sends bribe money to By-Tor through moneybookers) I don't know yet if a blue SMP will be my next rep purchase or not, but i knw I MUST have one otherwise my collection will fail.

    New SMP?

Actually I was reffering to the classic "bond" SMP in blue...Ive only managed to get bits and pieces of the story but so far I think the factory that made them originally closed? and the new version (of the classic design) arent the same. Not sure if this is a quality issue of if it's actual details of the watch that are incorrect on this "new" version when comapred to the previous SMP If any veteran would like to clarify this info...I would be very gratefull
  4. Hmm i like the black dial myself...But yes if you have enough black dial watches to supply a small army then maybe graphite FTW!
  5. no.....I'M SCARED!!
  6. I just got my steelfish, first rep I buy thanks to you guys..Well i got the asian version mostly as a test before i went adn threw around 300+ dollars without any personal experience.. So first impressions are amazing, the watch is top notch although all of you already know that I'll post pics later when I get my camera back...damn firends taking my things..

    New SMP?

I hear memebrs mention that there is a newer or different version of the classic SMP? If so, what are the differences..anybody got pics to compare old vs new? Someone in anotehr thread already mentioned a missing hour marker, but not sure if this was an isolated inccident.
  8. this is worst than crack
  9. Haha too late...I already did order a Breitling I'm waiting for a blue dial steelfish Then i'm jumping on an SMP after seeing it in person, I gotta sat it's amazing. No wonder soo many people on this baord have one.
  10. Well ive been here since January of 07' and up until that time i admired watches but wasnt soo conscious about them, I had (and still own) a very nice Bulova Millenia TT with a Quartz movement. Well today I had some guy swing by my house to take a look at 2 cars i'm selling (65,67 VW bugs) and the first thing i notice is him wearing a blue SMP.. The main thought that crossed my mind was....Is it real or rep? lol I would have asked but didn't want to sound rude at the risk of loosing a sale... But besides that i see mnyself pacing the malls or at restaurants looking for watches that I can now eaily identify. Thanks to you all for fueling this addiction
  11. Well although I joined mid-Jan congratulations RWG and that goes in particular to the admins/mods and anybody who has made a review of a watch to help out newbies like myself. Don't change, and many more years I wish to these boards.
  12. Maybe it's best if we each just show some respect towards each other, regardless of our position in life, or even if we think other might not be telling the truth regarding their own position. Lets just enjoy the fact that we share at least one common interest and that is what brings us here and forget about anything else that surrounds us.
  13. Hmm that dial looks interesting..Any betetr pics? or will our dealers be carrying this?
  14. I'm certain all the links you or anybody posts are helpfull to somebody if not today tomorrow or eventually. Thanks!
  15. Indeed glad you were able to spend some quality time together. Work is always second place when compared to those you love.
  16. Hmm most of the words are just big squares....might need to translate it on gogle or get the language pack installed....anybody know what 85,000 yen is?lol
  17. Being a noob myself and having less than 100 posts I guess I can only reitterate what others have said already, hopefully this tragic experiance will not ruin it for the rest of the members. I have read countless posts from memebrs praising the help that you guys offer and i'm impressed by the knowledge and the ability to share it with people whom you have never met. So again, maybe a nice deep breath and a few days to let things cool down is what everyone needs in a time like this. Not to mention there will always be some bad apples .
  18. RB the blue/blue looks fantastic...When you do some better shot, do you mind taking a close up of the dial..I would like to see how noticeable (if any) the lume work is when compared to some of the other reviews using the black or white dial.. Much thanks in advance.
  19. So a few members have the blue dials...In regards to the "bad lume job" is that a luck-of-the-draw kinda thing or do all blue faced SoSf suffer from this? As far as i can tell i have not noticed a white or black dial suffer from it ,but that is only based on the pics members have been kind enough to post.
  20. i was thinking about posting this very same question...Thank to the OP and The Zigmeister as I too had the same concern regarding the plastic spacer.
  21. Great review...and to think I thought this version wasn't goign to get much attention...The price is great and it trully is "lite"
  22. Being new here I'm not excatl;y sure how my comments will be perceived...but here goes. I guess it's safe to say that for most noobs stumbling onto the rep watch scene can go one of two ways. 1.If you love/adore/obsessed with watches it is a blessing and you will be willing to sell of your first born child for a few more watches. 2.If your just average Joe who wants to buy a $75 USD all "gold" Rolex to show off to your friends or impress a girl i consider myself a 1. minus the child selling part...but i appreciate watches for their apeparance and how they complement one's style and an occasion, like say your just out and about the house doing chores you would slap a watch on your wrist for the sake of keeping time not soo much for looks. But if your attending a wedding, bussiness meeting or a formal dinner you might be more selective with your watch choice as it will complement your attire and the surroundings. Plus lets be honest if you had tons of money to throw away you coudl always buy the gen's or you could realize that those thousands of dollars could be better spent on your self or loved ones (or more watches)
  23. People are soo immature, why can't they jsut turn their face sort of speak, and not report your ebay listing. But yeah i figure a nice bentley in either blue or white dial will look amazing...and down here in Miami, the bling is in.lol
  24. I hear ya Usil, it's why i'm staying away from Pams (for now, muahaha) Theres a few i trully love but i know they will be big watches and I love big watches...So before I land my first Pam, I plan on getting a big ol' Bentley what is that like 48-49mm? Well yeah huge like that..Lets not forget the Bentley has that "bling" effect
  25. Well, I received this watch about a year ago from a good friend knowing it was a rep in exchnage for helping him hook up his new tv and audio equipment...I took it more of a joke than anything, even telling him and his wife if thast what they considred my friendship to be "a fake"lol So enough story, here are some half descent pics of the Yachtmaster. I apologize for the quality and any smudges, I am by far a noob photographer and my camera is not the greatest in the world. I was only able to take a good quality shot of the dial, the others i tried came out blurry and yes the hologram sticker is peeling off that began not to long ago. As you can tell this watch has been around he tells me he bought it in NYC a few years back, and ive had it in my possesion for about a year now. I havnt yet opened her up, but i'd love to see the movement, and take a screenie maybe one of you guys can identify it. I imagine it's not a good rep, but I know very little about Rolex reps Any ideas on what model yachtmaster this could be a rep of?
