  1. Friday night was the blue sfso Today it's 111h on Bob strap
  2. I think there are many great suggestions here, including the re-brushing and even that PDA screen protector (very clever stuff) but Richard Tracy has got the best idea of em all... Avoid scratches period... A bit of practice and BAM! no need to worry about the clasp..but if you should ever get one, you have several options to fix the damage
  3. COngrats on your first quality rep purchase..Not sure what to say regarding the other posts......
  4. Anyone have a pic of this Swordfish you speak of?
  5. How strange , I have lost control of my sallivary glands How come it looks soo small between your hands. Isn't the SA 48 or 49 mm? Maybe since it's missing the band.
  6. Were all here for the same reason, and with that said we continue to discuss the good, the bad and everything in between that has any relevance to these time pieces we collect. Everything will slowly change, it will go from good to bad to worst and then right back to good before you know it.
  7. Then who is? The Gen market? i always figured it would be rep makers as they would be able to cash in later on with these soon to be "rare" movements. One good example would be the SFSO, aside from the AR/saphire glass the only real difference between them is the movement. yet the ETA version is nearly twice the price. IMO AR coated saphire in mass quantities and ETA movements in large numbers as well cannot account for a near 50% markup on a watch. But i see this trend becoming ever so popular.
  8. My god you are soo right. I need a big watch like that, it will help avoid me from buying a Bentley But I can certainly go with that black CD on SS
  9. Great story, ive had my 111h for not even a month but prior to that I swear here in my city i have not seen one yet. I'm almost tempted to beleive that only a small portion of residents in this fine state of florida actually know what a Panerai is, much less a sandwich dial or any model number for that matter.
  10. As long as there are people willing to dish out the 400-600 USD expect the prices to go up. It's simple business logic. Demand for a product determines it's price, so for the next batch of "super reps" be prepared (your wallets i mean)
  11. TWP this is awsome, I highly commend you for putting these things together. I was able to participate in the last one from RWI good stuff. My suggestions 1st Costeau Divers 2nd Bentley (only becasue i want one) 3rd any Pam will do.
  12. hmm i'l look into it. ANything besides this I can search for, does it have to be some Breitling specifi opener?
  13. wonderfull..... Any model you would recommend..even if it's from the bay. ?
  14. the difference is amazing, and his work is exellent from all the pics and the comments of those on this board. But I do notice the pearl isn't relumed. is it becasue it's not possible to do? Since now the color doens't match or maybe not the color but the birhgtness of the lume.
  15. Yeah i know I guess maybe I do need one, but I think I rememebr reading that some duck tape on your paml will work as well....I know I know, i really shoudl get the cse oepner, but I don't want to wait for shipping, call me crazy. Any advice?
  16. Ive had this watch since beginning of March this year and this minor detail didn't bother me too much, but I imagine it's a simple fix what do you guys think? SHould I just take it to local watchsmith have him allign the dial? Is it possible? Could it be something I could do? If you look at the pic, the entire dial is slightly turned back counterclockwise to make it more evident I have the bezel alligned with the dial. If you look at the end links (top and bottom) you will see the 12 marker and the 6 marker on the bezel not centered with the midddle link of the band I also notice this issue affecting the movement, since when the crown is pulled out you can see it does not sit parrallel with the case meaning the tube is fine but the stem is also showing the same counterclockwise allignment issue as the dial.
  17. You know i think were all relatively happy with what we get, servicing should be left to the professional who have made their reputation out of it, like The Zigmeister. One viable option like the above person mentioned is making the 28.8k 7750 be more compatible with the ETA version, as far as the hands go. So that in the event we need to replace a movement we can go straight for the ETA or offer the asian movement at a reasonble price, I mean if it really is cheaper to just replace than repair or service, then let us buy replacement asian movements with ease.
  18. I'm no expert, but I'm sure many would agree...SMP or something less flashy still Ingy maybe?
  19. Very nice, is that the same band that is used on the DD presidential? or actually any DD..sorry still got a lot to learn about rolex's
  20. I currently have a nice tan calf from Bob, very nice strao btw. But I need something in black, I wear a lot of black on a daily basis. Looking for something with deployment. But if I can' find anything , i'l stick to a regular buckle style like my current one. So if you have any links or pics i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance Rxus
  21. WHy have a box queen? Sell/trade it on the boards and get something that will be used more often.
  22. That blue Navi World is beutifull, but for trully eye catching effects, I would agree with those who have posted already, either the gold Daydate or the SS with glacier blue dial as posted. But truthfully, although I don't own one(yet, go with a nice full size Bentley, blue or black dial on SS band. I saw Gen at an AD, words are not enough. it's big in your face and i'm certain it weighs 20 -30 lbs
  23. I'm soo close to the florida everglades i can spit at the alligators. An although today it's been a lot better as far as the smoke in the air goes, i do think this dry season will bring up some interesting hurricanes. *Must remember to place all watches in zip lock bags*
  24. Call me crazy but i really enjoy the Tag overall. It's a lowkey gem IMO
