  1. I think we truthfully can't fight the monster, it's bigger than us, and i can't seriously beleive that as a whole, we make a sufficient impact on sales for it to respond to our request or even any actions we take to control this game. We can't stop anybody from buying an HBB for 450, and not even when the same watch hits 800
  2. i highly admore the wise words from the watch veetrans. But to add my 2 cents, I am pretty certain there is a valid reason behind the lack of attention to such watches as the Daytona the SD's and the vintage stuff. It could be as simple as fear from the gen makers crashing down on their parade. or as sophisticated as not wanting to disassemble the money maker known as MBW. COnsidering they have made incredible reps of much less popular watches we would only be fooling ourselves by thinking they have overlooked the potential of 1:1 Rolex watches So if it ever happens great..but I wouldfn't hold my breath for it.
  3. He says it's the asian version, and he also fails to mention the lack of AR vs. the swiss powered version.. I'm certain he didn't want to even bring up the AR topic. As that would hurt him even more.. All in all, he was surprised, and kept a pretty level head on this pice. He could have easily bashed it too hell. But the guy knows reps are only going to get better.
  4. I had seem some of these guys other reviews, they are "ehh" We have much higher qualified individuals who do betetr reviews, like By-Tor just to name one of my own favorites. Certainly this camefrom one of the boards, as he uses some of the same terms to describe the flaws as we have all used. Shame on whom ever is doing this. Im almost certain that hes not a memebr directly to this board. instead hew as recently warned about it though..As he has not done anymore of these reviews, and simply mentions some other Breitlings as "good replicas" EVERYONE HOLD ON TO YOUR REPS!
  5. Oh no, it defintely does not discourage. We all must accept that there are flaws , even on the SUPER reps. Besdies like you said..you get a lot for $300 and that is true. Just look at a $600 HBB...screws falling off, the glued on letter on the rotor...That takes less skill to call out as a fake than this breitling.
  6. hmm get that carrera with the black rubber strap... looks very nice.
  7. oh good I love that watch, and the non chrono does not impress me much
  8. I like it. that is one thick band is that 26mm? The only thing I can tell that might be off a bit, are 1. The GMT has a thinner red arrow at the tip 2. The rep doesn't seem to have the slighty counter sunk subdials. But maybe it's just the angle. Aside from those rather minor things, put it on a nice black strap like that Gen in your comparison pic and youll be set.
  9. OK what dealer has it? I have seen a pic of this before. But i agree it needs a metal band, gunmetal, something like the Bentley SS band. that has both straight and diagnal links. And please tell me it's at least 43mm ? Although this would be better if it was 48/49
  10. OMG if this trully is a fake..some poor soul just paid 2500 for it..ouch... Hes gonna kill himself when he takes it for service and they break the news to him... Not to mention some douche bag just made 2500- w/e he paid for it 250-300 USD.
  11. You know after reading your original review on that TT navi, i fell in love with it. And my old mans wedding anniversary is comming up, and i'm gonna get him one, make him throw away his TT Citizen quartz chrono watch. And for the mother, i'm thinking a ceramic J12(white)
  12. They are both beautifull watches, but the SA just looks massive, it must be a combination of the bezel being thicker on the SA and it's larger diameter dial. Even as reps go, I would stick with an SA.
  13. COmming from South Florida as well, I can tell you everyone has an SS Sub. And it was going to be my first rep purchase as well. Not becasue of popularity but the watch is fantastic itself. So simple so clean. So instead i got a YM as a gift, and till this day I wear it and love it. But when i head onto South beach, nothing beats my 111h. becasue people in south florida don't know much about watches or like V said that everyone has a Sub down here.
  14. Agreed, i have recently seen such an abundance of 3717 pics. Like Pugwash with the ETA wheels swap..OMG what a nice looking watch, oh and defintely on leather..
  15. If this will mean an inevtiable death to ETA movements inside our replicas, so be it. Maybe it will help bring the price down on our reps. besides tehre is no fun in saying you have a rep watch if it has a genuine Swiss ETA movement
  16. Been here since early this year, I gotta say, it's rare the day I don't open up my browser and direct it to these here forums. I'm no expert but in my own little world I feel like one, becasue of all the great info I have picked up from people like The Zigmeister, Pug By-Tor damnit and the rest of the great ones. i want to thank you all, specially those who I didn't name. ANd this weekand when i'm at my local pub with my buddies, i'll make sure to raise one up for all of you. Cheers to you all!!
  17. As long as non- modded Pams are sold like hot cakes, there really is no need to have every dealer sell the "fixed" versions. Not to mention that there is a hefty price diffirence, one that you can opt to take in parts by doing lume/cannon pin fixes, better crown/case or in one shot. and get a homemade super rep
  18. or maybe a skeleton movement with a combo of SS and blacked out parts...It can be a very modern look.
  19. I havn't adn refuse to buy in at this price. But tis the nature of the beast. Some people will get lucky and will receive one of these Rose gold models that are flawless, and they will praise their own piece till the end of time. yet most will not waste their time/money on it due to lack of quality. But I guess this lack of QC is inherent to all pieces, how many SFSO's or UPO's didn't have QC problems? You know croocked logos, bad lume jobs. Sure we expect more when we pay more, but this isn't your local AD, the ones making these newer pricier watches are the same people who make the $30 Subs, $100 Seamaster GMT's and your $300 super reps. so if those have QC flaws why wouldn't the $800 and the $3k reps have them?
  20. Still loving my SFSO, but i'm considering giving it to my younger brother as hes in love with it, and then i'll move into the ETA version of the same watch, or give into the a uPO
  21. I thought The Island was acceptable, aside from the fact it was a cheesy and lighter colored Matrix rip-off. Pearl Harbor was simply bad.
  22. Rxus

    UPO lite

I'm sure it's been discussed before but is the only difference bewteen the UPO ETA and "lite" UPO is the movement correct?
  23. I'm not in NYC, but since I'm cuban i can tell you , youll enjoy the food
  24. One cartier I like and I consider a bit of a womens watch to this day is the Pasha (sp?) Mens size there is one with a rubber-like material on the SS band with black dial it looks stunning, but then again I can't picture myself wearing mostly because i get the feeling it will look like a womens watch. Maybe i'm just crazy.
  25. The gen at least is amazing. The one my buddy owns is a white dial on leather strap. And the way the strap is held on is wonderfull no pins or screws. I'm gonna have to look around and see if any of our dealers carry this with a 7750. But all i know of is the Santos wich is also very elegant.
