  1. Lanikai, i actually appreciate that very much, I was not aware of that detail.
  2. U know i have tried the unlocking doors over the phone just yards away from the vehicle and it does not work. i realize their are a multitude of reasons why it could work for some and not others but nevertheless the attempt was made when my buddies and I heard about this. And the battery trick does not work on all cell phones I believe that is manufacturer specific if that is even the case.
  3. i realize it's an odd request considering i can and have seen many wristshots of the different BCE dial colors but it was worth asking.. Anyone care to snap a side by side shot of the graphite dial & the black w/silver sub dials BCE's Of course this would apply to those who have both models. Thanks in advance, i realize it's a bit of a hassle but after receiving my aquaracer i want to pull the trigger on the BCE and I'm stuck deciding on one. Rxus
  4. Thanks, i'll check up on it.
  5. Camera is back to it's rightful owner!! I purchased a Tag aqua racer black dial on ss bracelet from Josh not even 10 days ago and it's here. This is my firs Asian 7750 powered watch, I must say i was scared and still am a bit. The watch has some resistance when winding it manually, at least when compared to my asain fish, maybe this is normal? the chronos resets perfectly and the day/date windows seem to align nicely, does the 7750 have a quickset feature for the date? oh well. Here are some pics..Enjoy (oh yeah these are straight off the camera only resized, forgive me for the smudges, I'm still a noob ) And the infamous stock lume shot.. As far as looks go I'm very impressed, the finish and fit of the parts seems wonderfull, the single sided Ar looks great on this piece the dial impeccable and the case back is of course fitting with the rest of the watch..fantastic! The bracelet had a bad springbar, i took it to a watch store at the mall that sold mostly Invicta's and some hamiltons and Tissots and the guy told me "nice watch" replaced the springbar and charged me nothing.. very cool indeed Wish me luck with this movement although i trust this newer high beat version! And again thanks to all those who have posted their good experiance and wonderfull reviews that inspired me to take the plunge into a watch like this, the only regret is for my wallet but aside from that I love it! 6. I thought that was the best place to test the chrono function on any watch..you know to see how long it takes for the soap to rinse off your skin
  7. I'm as far from a watchsmith as anyone on this earth can be..but what is you were to simply use the 6,9,12 A7750 movement (native layout) on a tricompax 3.6.9 dial/watch? I'd like to think the date would line up and not be sunken in. And then simply freeze the non functioning 3 and 9 sub dials Sounds logical, but i'll let the experts chime in /humble bow
  8. Dead or alive it was in bad taste, still no need to get our panties in a bunch. And about the USA bashing (before it starts) No country is free from spilling blood, it just soo happens were up to bat this inning.
  9. Wonderful, you have just made my choice between the graphite dial and black/silver subdials that much harder great pics and watch wear it well!
  10. I'm sure thee is some sort of organized system to manufacture, assemble and distribute the merchandise and it's parts. However we shouldn't be as concerned with how it all works as much as that fact that somehow it DOES work and we are relatively happy with the finished/delivered product. At least that is my point of view, surely it would be interesting to know but often times it's better to not know too much.
  11. Soo many great explenations already, regardless of our point of view on the topic(s) Science and religion are never goping to agree on any one thing. But i'm certain many of you will agree that both have assisted one another before, considering that books were copied by hand for centuries and stories were passed on verbally for an even longer amount of time it's safe to say that most stories from the past are flawed, sure some have bigger flaws than others and others have been lost all together. So I tell you like i was once told, it's a nice balance of faith and common sense. Do your homework read up on topics that interest you, don't be affraid to approach scholars in different religions for answers to your questions and once you have some answers filter out the BS.
  12. I think it looks better with AR, it brings out the dial and all it's detail.
  13. What beauty, one day I plan to either splurge on a gen or if patience patience permits, I'll build one like this..again terrific piece of work you have there good sir.
  14. Oh what a common occurrence this has been, I have never in my life been more occupied with looking at what other people wear (watches that is)..up until this past year.
  15. Why not "when your done..can you pull the knife out of my back?"
  16. i got a great view from SW Florida, and wonderful shots you have there.
  17. i think that just how we have several dealers to choose from we should have options for watch smiths, every member ahs the freedom to search and read all the reviews good and bad regarding every transaction imaginable, I say let them choose if they want to wait, or if they want to take risks or if they even want to go ahead and do any mods period. But the choice must be there, otherwise we are not being fair to the community and that includes us all.
  18. I havn't pulled the trigger on an HBB as of yet, but from the many reviews ive read and great pictures that acompany them..i would say not to worry soo much about those details you just mentioned. Perfection you will never find, besides if tehy fix those things they might screw up something else that is of greater value to the watch overall.
  19. he has no clue or a grade A+++ scammer! Even I the relative noob, can spot the glaring flaws.
  20. Behind all those "dials" were very happy people immersed in a common interest, it's always a pleasure to see these things come through like this.
  21. I like the Patek, the back is not too convincing for me but the front looks great I would rock that on a nice strap including that SS braided one you have there!
  22. A buddy of mine ahs a gen roadster on leather, and if you push the metal flap away from the case, the strap slides out towards the caseback, it appears to have tracks on both lugs, I hope it helps, but again this was on a gen Roadster Chrono Xl
  23. Terrific shots... A definite paradise to anyone who has a true obsession with collecting watches. Thank you for sharing your experiance in your trip and it's great to hear you had first hand dealings with one of the collectors from the board.
  24. I beleive there was a dealer that had these with a gen-looking He valve. Not sure who it was right now.
  25. ooohhh...ahhhhh..very nice
