  1. That is a very nice watch, I particularly like those CG's as they appear very much GEN like. Looking forward to a proper review on this watch. Enjoy this one in good health in the up-coming year!
  2. Thank you good sir, that's what i was thinking but since i have never handled either one in person i had to ask.
  3. Is the SSD bigger or smaller than your regular Sub? Overall the dealers give case dimensions but they vary from dealer to dealer. Thanks in advance Rxus
  4. Maybe we should start assembling them here instead of over there? The irony of it is, that the quality of build will go down yet the price will rise significantly. Thank you Daytona for the wonderful insight.
  5. I love this thread... But in all honesty as much as i wish we could make the change start rioting or the rep watch revolution, we won't. So what 30 people post here saying they have or will stop buying reps at $400.00 a pop.. Around the corner we have 10k users happily waiting in line to pay $500-$1000 for the same chunk of steel. Sad but true. The weakening dollar was another white lie and we ate it up like birthday cake, soon it will be another price hike becasue the Euro or the pound is weak.
  6. Correct like a true 1:1 (super rep-minor flaws) Pam 111h with cannon pin fixed! 42mm UPO with correct and aligned logo reliable seconds at 6 movement an A7753 clone to fix those nasty recessed date wheels Correct flat top screws for Breitling bracelets Well at least thats my short list
  7. I was out shopping over the weekend and walked into an Omega AD (after carefully sliding my skyland into my gf's purse ) and I asked to see the new 007 Seamaster from the OP's pics and well, it is a thing of beauty. Some might argue that without the signature wave pattern dial it means nothing, but the glossy black dial so crisp and clean and the RED seamaster make the watch look soo very elegant. Not to mention once I put it on i felt like Mr. Daniel Craig in the flesh.... until the significant other rolled her eyes at me, must have been the drool making it's way down my chin that or the realization I have a serious addiction problem. Either way the very delightful salesperson shot some number at me can't recall excatly as I was tearing the watch off my wrist, sounded like $3kish I could be wrong. Please correct me.
  8. I think for the most part (99.9%) of those struggling or soon to be, have no control over this and they never did nor will. If sticking your head in the sand is your way to deflect the hardships of life...well at least you have a plan. Myself, I love to talk politics and economics among my close friends but I always manage to get others involved just to hear their own opinions and truthfully were not doing that great, no one is really prepared and most a lot of people are living life as if nothing is happening. The ship is going down and most people are standing on the top deck playing the violin... our only hope is our savior Obama (additional emphasis on the sarcasm implied by the smiley)
  9. I love that turbine design, this is a nice looking watch that can be repped for $200 with Double AR....and has the capability of having fully functioning featurs unlike the current BP with it's fake PR
  10. Varios miembros del foro este han hablado de esa replica de IWC, suele a dar muchos problemas por la modificacion de segundos en la posicion de "6' Mejor busquate otro IWC que te guste. Bienvenido!! English: Various memebrs of this forum have spoekn in regards to that IWC replica (Porto chrono) and seems to be problematic due to the modifications for the seconds at "6". Better look for another IWC that you like..Welcome aboard!!!!! P.S. There should be no need for a translation, but I realize it can be rude at times to speak a different language infront of people who don't understand. If a mod would like to clarify any policy (if any) on language...by all means.
  11. Thank you sir for that great pictorial, i always wanted to know how these things worked with a simple to understand non-watchmaker terminology.
  12. Thats a very nice watch. Congrats on your purchase. Me personally I would wear it on a bracelet (if available) I just cant see the ingy design on anything else, it looks like it's missing something to my eyes Wear it in good health!
  13. The watch is classy I like it. It's a shame Cuba turned out the way it did, soo much potential...But maybe were heading down the same path with our new Socialist/terrorist-friendly president. Oh yeah and I noticed that the word "habana" on the dial is incorrectly spelled, the correct way is with a "v" seems odd.
  14. I feel for the EU guys, but the prices never let off for our failing dollar. But fear not as this is a mere political mechanism to gain popularity among those who don't trust this new guy in the captain's chair (my self included). Point being that the euro and british pound will go back to the top in short time.
  15. I'll watch it Friday like 90% of Americans..but I'm not a fan of Daniel Craig..Sorry guys, he is no Connery and yet I still prefer Pierce Brosnan
  16. I would be up for a SoFLA meet, but i'm not sure if there has been one in the past.
  17. We are doomed.... Might as well move to Venezuela or back to Cuba..it's the SAME $hit i'm affraid. Now is a good time to have had duel-citizenship with Spain or some other country
  18. You have a nice list of goals.....The search function will reveal answers to 99% of your questions, or at the very least point you in the right direction. Welcome to RWG! p.s If you find the info you need (you will) please make a small donation and become a supporting member of these boards, Thank you
  19. Being Cuban (and proud of it) I feel honored by such a wonderful review and the great comments made to the fine art of cigar making specially referring to those still made in Cuba. It takes talent knowledge and a tradition that has been passed on through the generations. Personally I'm not a smoker but can appreciate the value and satisfaction they bring to many. Lani light one up for me one of these days will ya'
  20. I don't own a GT, but a good friend of mine has one and let me tell you if you don't have the crystal sent out for a double AR coating...your missing out on half the quality of the real thing. I have a V2 skyland and I think my AR coating is close to GEN but not there yet.
  21. That is terrific, I'm in love with your watch maybe it's the pictures but I think it's the simplicity of the watch itself. Pictures like these and the stories that go with them are a true inspiration the the new generation of RWG'ers (like myself) to take on projects as this one. I myself after putting together my perfect sub, will definitely be building a vintage model to go with it. Enjoy this beautiful timepiece in good health!
  22. The watch is stunning and the case back looks spot-on, but doesn't that sunken date wheel take away from such a rare and pricey watch? I realize it's the common issue with the sub dial layout and the A7750, I guess maybe some people can live with it.
  23. Nice collection sp12, specially admire the way you display your watches you seem to not be confined by the common "watch case and winder" that most people can't steer away from. Keep it up.
  24. That is splendid please get those pics up as soon as you can I'm certain it will be great to see
