  1. Of course I know who has them. My problem is one of cash-flow, not of inability to source them. :D

Also, I've moved house. I'm no longer in Paris; I'm in Scotland. I moved house and now have no cash or job, which means no 3717 yet.

I know you moved Monsieur Pug !

But, Ooops, sorry I thought you'd fancy a trip to Paris.

Cash problems: we all have cash-flow problems and that really sucks.

But...I would fancy a trip to Scotland B)

  2. In all honesty, if I were to get myself one of these (not unlikely) then I'd wear it out of the box. The AR sounds perfectly fine and even the day/date wheels don't bother me. :D

Pug, you know how to get one ? Don't you ?

What were you saying :whistling: Peeeeeeeeee Teeeeeeeeee

Join the club and let's have fun: a meeting of 3717 in Paris !!! :D

  3. The AR may not be as strong as the gen. Oh, and the lume certainly isn't. A gen dial and day/date wheels may be in order. :D

Oh my goodness...do we really want this one to be 1:1 ?

    To my opinion, no.

As long as it looks great without looking at it with a loup, it's fine for me.

But let's list it: DateWheel, AR, Lume....what else ?

We are not talking about a SD Great White by the way, are we ? That one deserve a full mod plan

  4. Yes, it can be modded to perfection.

I'm sending in my 3717 in a week to Ziggy for a Swiss 7750 movement swap, along with the Cousins Datewheels.

Why am I going through the trouble? Because the watch is something that I will wear very often and keep for many many years.

    Exactly !!!

Anyone owning a correct version want to give some input tonight ?

We already know the mvt and the date issue, anything else ?

  5. Stephane, tu vas aimer cette montre - elle est vraiment incroyable.

It is a must for anybody who loves the simpicity and timeless elegance of IWC.

Merci Euno ! En effet, j'adore les montres avec le jour et la date !

I really appreciate your input and thank you for that.

Seems like it's one that can be put in the Super Rep category  if that exists...

I have been wanting it for weeks but, as a EU member, I only want to buy from EU based collectors (mainly PT, TTK, Narika can secure the shipping to EU as far as I know).

Hey, don't you thing we have an incredibly great hobby ?

Ubi says: quality over quantity (My god that is true I think).

I would add: patience is the key too.

    I love this place

    Cheers

  6. Hi All,

I've been in contact with PT for a while regarding that great watch and it's here now.

PT has the correct version available.

I simply wanted to bump his thread as it's been a great work to source it and make it available for us, EU members, whithout any c*s*o* issues, nor dropshippers problems.

QC is done and watch is ready to land on my wrist: Yiiiiipeeeeeeee !

    Cheers

  7. As a noob, I would like to submit a simple concept.

I read most of the threads here, and it takes hours a day, believe me.

I have come to the conclusion that I should buy the ones I trully love.

In example, I bought a Fer002 from TTK and I'm now forcing a friend of mine to wear it as I do not.

I saw Pug's Poisson d'Acier (SteelFish) and wanted one. Still didn't buy it though.

I read all these HBB threads and didn't yet get one (and probably won't).

I think it's not a question of being trendy or in the mood, it's a question of "what do you like to wear".

Another example: I am a Rolex fan. My graal was the best sub (16610).

I have severals subs now, including an MBW (16610).

    After that I wanted a 1680.

Then, why not check a SD....

    The conclusion is:

I received my first SD today, that has been moded by a member. I would not want to wear any of my other watches now.

So, super rep, rep, moded rep, MBW/WM/TW Best...doesn't really matter.

What matters is what your heart is wanting in fact.

And, mine is only wanting to learn more and more and discover that the best sub isn't with a cyclop at all, but probably a SD.

    Cheers

  8. If you take a look at the submariner then, I don't see much of a difference between all his models - they all describe the same thing and really look like the same photos, but range in price from $108 to $4xx

    Have a closer look:

    350$

    458$

    246106-8532.jpg

    149$

    246106-8533.jpg

    40$

The best one available right now is this one (same as my 350$):

    You can trust Pug :whistling:

  9. Stephane - what would you do with the cash if you did sell those unworn reps? Would whatever you did with money make you happier than keeping the reps? If so go ahead and sell - if not keep em.

Well that is a good point of view.

I would probably buy other watches but I'm lucky enough right now not to need the cash of the current I own so I will probably keep them all :g:

now if you are fishing to guage interest for possible sales ....

    Not fishing at all.

Actually I would eventually sell my non MBW 16610 & 16710 only (which is only 3 watches in total).

In the beginning, my goal was to have every possible copy of the 16610 and get myself a gen too one day.

But I'm not sure I'm that exited with that original idea anymore.

I might prefer to sell 16610 and 16710 non MBW to fund mods for the MBWs in fact.

And, of course, if I decide to sell, I would post in the trade area, with pics and prices :thumbsupsmileyanim:

    Cheers
