Stephane let her keep that MB it looks great on her, I like big watches on ladies
I'm desperate that she wears my watches...she doesn't want: they are "fake" and to heavy she says
But, it keeps coming...

I can't believe there are blokes that didn't know this.
It's your duty as a man to learn this if you don't know it.
Let's train....

Dear All,
I received mine today (will wait for a week before posting a review of course
).
But I want to let you all know that the bracelet is not using screws but pins.
The design of the pins on one side is looking like a screw but after trying my lovely Bergeon screw drivers, I realized I'd rather use my pin link remover.
Make sure to follow this advice as there no arrows on mine:
Take a pin out: push it out from the non screw designed side and pull it out with your fingers.
Take a pin back in: push from the screw design side and push it back in with ........your finger or nail!
2 remarks:
- I don't feel secured with these pins that comes out and in such an easy way.
- If you intend to order one note that there are not so many links. Make sure to order a spare link if you have very large wrists.
For the rest: it's a beauty.
Cheers

Best advice is if it is now shut, keep it that way. The Omega reps do not have the sturdiest design on the divers clasp. There are two or three different versions, but a small pinch in the metal is all that is keeping it shut. If you yank on the clasp hard enough it will come open but it will loosen in the process and you might never get it to stay securely shut again. Just be pleased that it is there and leave it at that.
/Tim
I fully agree. I have 3 Omega with that extension and me too I sincerely wondered what the hell I was suppose to do.
Rather leave it like it is.

Here are(is) the site(s) that I found with a variety of really nice rubber straps.
Evidently they are down for a few days, but nevertheless you can view some of thier selections.
After doing an exhaustive search (hours), I think that they seem to have the best selection of rubber dive straps, at reasonable prices.

Good luck.
Thanks Jeff. Beauties out there.

Umm....................belt buckles right?
Ken
Guess so
-
Yep.....the next time I have a turtle's head in my underpants.....or Angelie Jolie is giving me the come on........the very thing I need is a 'complicated' buckle mechanism......
Ok so I saw right: it's a bloody buckle. My goodness.

Is that site deliberately set up so you can't actually see what it is that they produce?
exactly! what is it ?

Thats great, my sons too have had several watches from me, I've allways liked Seiko they're the best in their price range IMO, built like a tank too so good for a young boy, I like the military style one, tell him it's what soldiers wear and he'll love it even more
Thanks Usil and Richard.
I will tell him about soldiers but he might not believe me as he will check his PC war games ;-)

Nicely done. Are you all left-handed?
Great you noticed Pug.
No, none of us but my wife. She wears her watches on the left hand.
My kids do like the father, that's it.
And the father ?
When I was say 11 or 12, I wanted to do things like no one else. So I started to wear watches on the rigth wrist.
Are you lefty ?

Mine were send by simple registered mail and arrived safely after 15 days.
Of course I am in Europe.
Now, I must say that when they came back, with EMS, they were seized by customs.
Sorry to say.

Dear All,
I came across this Seiko on eBay for sale by WatchHub, 27$ for the watch and 30 for shipping (in total 44). It looked really nice with that day-date feature.
So, I said to myself, after having a Flik Flak, my son might aswell get a 50$ automatic now.
The ad for the first Seiko.
Day date display at 3 o'clock position
21 Jewels automatic movement
Solid matt casing with crown positioned at 4 o'clock position
Luminous hands and hour markers with red tip sweeping second hand
See-thru screwdown caseback for authenticity
Water resistant
Brand new and 100% authentic Men's SEIKO watch.
Validated 1 year International Warranty b00klet with addresses of services centre in 200 locations worldwide. Original Gift Box.
Dimensions:
Case Diameter: 32mm (Excluding Crown)
Case Thickness: 10mm
Bracelet width: 18mm
Total length: 200mm
The pictures: it's my son that pressed the button
.
The wrist shot: it's me that pressed the button.
The second Seiko
Ok, so far everything was cool…only 57$/44 have been spent.
But, of course, he is going to grow and the 32 mm will be to small one day.
So I had to find another one right away, just in case he wakes up and gain 5 years during the night
It's a 38 mm that I got at 86 / 114$. Starts to be serious money now.
The wrist shot.
For sure, he is not going to wear it soon.
The third Seiko.
Ok, I must be honest.
The black monster is for me now. Of course my son will get it whenever he want it, after the 38mm one.
I finally decided to buy this monster after seing Pug's pictures, specially with both bands (Rubber and Steel).
Let's see the wrist shot first.
I will not post a lot of pics of the Black Monster. There are some very nice ones out here as you know.
My wrist shot
And of course, the lume shot
The Seiko Family.
Voilà, I wanted to share this with you, that's it.
I guess I'll come back one of these days with my 11 years old daughter's gen Baume et Mercier Linea steel 21 mm that I catched on eBay for 200 only.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers

Thank god we do not have quartz watches: the time has changed last night in Europe.
Happy sunday to all.

I received a email from TTK last night. He indicated he has my watch! Delays due to Chinese New Year and waiting for slowest member. He will be in Bangkok this weekend and will "...advise shipping detail at that point in time." Good things are coming.
Same for me...

Sql_PL:
I tried to PM but your box was full (after looking at your links on this thread I cannot imagine why). What dealer and when did you get the Patek 24? Looks great as I would like to get for the wife. Is this watch close to the gen? Is gen SS or white gold?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have the same questions as Jomama...
-
some more rumours...PT will have it soon
-
Hi Joe,
Funny you ask this today. I got mine yesterday for your JLC.
I sincerely think they're great.
I picked an IWC one.
Make yourself an opinion here. I shot some pictures of the JLC with Bob's.
I started to polish the case aswell to get rid of the brushed finish...but it's not yet what I want. I'm a newbie in everything, including polishing

Or add a final price and move them to a sold section.
100% agreed to never never delete sales that ended. It's precious information for all of us.

Very impressive. Beautifull watches. Congratulation.

What is more annoying to me is the newbie "I haven't got my watch yet and I've been waiting four whole days, this dealer is a liar and a cheat and you all are in on the scam!!" rant posts. Keep it between you and the dealer a month before you start calling people out, is what I say . . .
- That is what I meant precisely. It's these negative TITLES of posts that I see more and more when hiting "View New Posts" that sometimes makes me close the RWG window and wait for another couple of hours to come back.
What Richard says about negative reviews aswell of course.
- Pug, I took the Poisson d'Acier as an example of a compulsive buy. Not as a dealer review. My Froglish is my froglish and sorry if I'm sometimes not clear enough.
And yes, everybody here wants you to post as much pics as possible and the quicker the better.
- In general, with the time and experience I learned about compulsivity
I can wait 2, 3 or more weeks to get my order, it doesn't (almost) bother me anywmore.
And, unless a big big problem occurs in the future, I am posting neutral reviews of dealers and positive of members.
Cheers

Come on, who else ?

That is fantastic advice, buyers should give them a cooling off period so they can look at their new item in a completely objective way before posting a review.
Ken
Take an example: Pug's SteelFish (or "Poisson d'acier" for Frogs)...
I was about to order it from PT today because I was saying to myself: order now or it will not be available anymore.
[censored]. Business is business. There will be plenty of these available for months.
I didn't yet order it thus.
And, suddenly, today too, I got a mail from PT about a watch I ordered from him and that will be on my wrist next monday.
I don't even think about ordering a SteelFish anymore now. I might do so, but after all my current orders are delivered.
Am I a little sad about not getting the SteelFish like everybody else here ? YES.
What I mean is that we do order and review way too fast because we are enthusiast (which is great) and that we would never act like that in our own professional lives.
Cheers

Paid $1.9K delivered for a BNIB Gen P.O. What dya think?
in The Omega Area

Dear All,
Congrats on your choice. It's a killer watch.
Just to mention: 1.900 is great but 4.000 is way too much.
There is one for 2.275 $ which bring it to around 2.275
