@ TribalI have added you to the list
You sure D? Normally when coming back from Ibiza people tend to be zombies for at least a couple of days..

Starting to look very nice!
By the way, I should be with my lover in Dusseldorf!
@Plai: I would be delight to be at a Spanish GTG.
@Sql: would be cool you attend it indeed
-
I am 99% sure i will be there but i will have to check with work, Guys if you have never attended a GTG before i really recommend them, is is so good to put faces to names and make this virtual place we spend so much time in a little bit real.
+1
@Andy: you know you will be there
@Plai: yup, should be possible to meet finaly

Location: Dortmund
Date/Time: October 16th, 2010...starting at 4 PM
At this stage, I won't detail what is concretely planned but here are some teasers:
- RWI/RWG GTG
- Hotel located at walking distance from a good common friend home of both forums who was attending the last EU GTGs in Brussels.
- Restaurant already set up with a 30€ menu, in the hotel to make it easy, and a 19€ all you can drink for 6 hours (Andy, Rob ...that will be a loss for the place to have us all isn't it
- Attending: probably most of the EU GTGs attendees and hopefully YOU and all great members we didn't see since the Köln GTG back then
.
You know who you are ...and shame on you as we miss you
Everybody welcome: members, friends, GF and wives, cats and dogs.
Ok, please post here if you are willing to join...
Then, Colonel Andy and myself will coordinate that event (edit to say: and merge with our RWI brothers)
Cheers and look forward to another exiting event

My newly arrived GmtII from BK

@Stephane: What happened to your old franken GMTII from MM? That was a beauty.
You know how it goes: need cash for other watches so selling the franken, get a gen, then sell gen and come back to reps, and so on ...
It's cycles, at least for me: wanted a gen 1680, got it, and now I want to build a new franken as I don't really want to spend 5K in a watch anymore currently.
So the 1680 gen is gone too
But in 2012, how knows, maybe I will dream of a gen Great White
We are true kids with our toys, aren't we...the next one is allways better!
-
I love the black insert on your GMT II Cats!
Well done.
I finally decided to get a GMTII from BK too, not a trans though.
I choose the coke insert but might go for a black if I can find a good one.
And yes, I should make pics and a review of it...it's a legend: one of the last available Noob BKLM GmtII
Here is what I wear today, again.
-
I definately think that calls for drinks all round
+1
SUPER POSTER you are!
-
I can't tell you how happy I am that you finally found the light ....
Maybe you will end like me: nothing but Rolex (almost)!
-
Hi and welcome to RWG.
You should not expect a lot of replies as this is the common first question asked by new members
I can tell you that you will be very happy with BK (who is assembling WM9 Subs, the cream of the cream), the best route possible probably
Now, my purpose answering your question the way I do is 1) to welcome you 2) to have the more active members confirm this or make other suggestions.
Note that you will need some serious budget to get the best sub though.
If your budget is short, well I'm sure BK and the membership here can still help you with another route...
All the best,
Stephane

I am certainly the best one to comment this watch
I know nothing about Panerai
But for sure, this one looks great to me
Edit to say: that screwdriver
-
wile.....I posted this (partial Pdf of your book ) some time ago:http://pageflip.dpsonline.it/book/view.asp?id=179
Grazie!
Fantastic layout N.
Congrats for choosing the book over another watch...that must have been a very difficult choice!
-
Ah ah, By-Tor, great find.
Even I could spot it, and I am not that good with these exercices.
As you said: we love watches and that is all what should be considered.
Some can afford gens, some simply can't (or can't yet/anymore).
That doesn't make anybody "bad". Just a watch fan in our opinion and WE are right
I'm pretty sure that if every member of this community was rich, we would buy only gens and build frankens of vintage after having tested with reps.

What a fantastic piece you put toghether Pete!
