  1. I would highly recommend waiting for BK's SD that he is receiving from WM9. I have it pre-ordered for $375, and I think that is a tough bargain to beat. WM9 really do make some really nice reps.
  2. I thought I had gotten lucky when the watch appeared again. I am leaning towards keeping it and buying one of Narikaa's rubbers for $30. I bought a rep bracelet from a forum member to try out. It's either this or getting a Sinn U1.
  3. Some pics: I just prefer to create the dings myself.
  4. Thanks for the replies. I see 45mm on TimeZone for about 1800. I am just uncomfortable about sending someone that much money for an item have yet to hold in my own hands. And I much prefer the 42mm size, but don't see them up for sale as often.
  5. I just got a Gen Omega Planet Ocean 42mm. I paid $1467. Does not come with box or papers, but it is certified genuine by Tourneau (got a little certificate). Has not skipped a single beat since it has been in my possession. Came with black rubber with deployant. Was sold as excellent, but there is a small ding on the 5 minute marker on the bezel. I can either return the watch (minus the $20 shipping), or I can keep the watch and get $50 off a future purchase. What would you do?

    Just modded my BP

    Thumbs up, looks great.
  7. Congrats. I am a DSN fan. I have had some problems and think it is best that you get pictures before he sends the watch. This may delay your new purchase but will save you a headache. My favorite is his 002. Personally prefer the closed case back to avoid the movement flaws. His 01D is also really good if you like white faced PAMs, but his lume dots are perfect on this one. His line of PVD Pams is among the best. Count the 004, and 009 as great watches out of the box. His 112 is a stunner. I owned one of his 111. The dial is indeed very gen like, but the cut outs are not on par with other reps. The 112 is definitely the better dial.
  8. Another vote for the sales section. Watches are QCed, and are shipped quickly. Pictures are right there for you to examine.
  9. DSN's movement is superior to the other repmakers. The finish really stands out (assuming he still has the Swiss movements in stock). His price is $460 and it is the best out of the box rep for the fiddy.
  10. Thanks guys. That lello date wheel does take it up a notch.
  11. oncyte - can you please take a picture of the date font straight on? to get a better idea of magnification and date font accuracy.
  12. Yes, he does work on Skylands. He is a great person to work with. You should speak to him about his prices, but considering he aligns and relumes the dots I think it is fair.
  13. 010 D or 002 from Davidsen are both really accurate. Swiss movement will run you about $400. You will also need to harangue him about giving you new stuff, as opposed to dials, and such from his returns. You can get asian for about $300, and tack on $50 if you want a PVD case. DSN is great. Just keep him on his toes!
  14. Blacksteel lume is probably the worse of all the Skylands. Relume is necessary, in only, for correction purposes.
  15. Hont confirms it is the v2, not the update of v1. WOW.
  16. I plan to use some loctite, but that still doesn't solve my problem. Need a screw! Thanks though.
  17. How is the datefont? And magnification? Was thinking of the 088, but your 089 makes a strong argument.
  18. Missing a screw and have been emailing all the dealers, and nothing positive. Does anyone have a spare that they are willing to sell? Is there a dealer that is kind enough to pass one along with a purchase?
  19. The sales corner is a godsend. You get really qualified members that have done the QA for you. I just bought something from King. POS to say the least, and now I have to send it back.
  20. thanks for taking the time to take the big pics.
  21. DSN is a great looking watch, but neither DSN and Trusty/Josh have not gotten the cyclops and datefont right. My friend has a 104 and the datefont between my DSN (sold) to his 104 was clear as day. Every date is magnified perfectly, while DSN only had a few of the single digits that were as large. The optics in Panerai is difficult to replicate. However I have contacted Fishgodeep about this and I will eventually try a 104 project. This is not to say that the 104 is not a good rep. It is very nice, and has a very classic allure. If you are getting from DSN I would suggest you make sure you ask for new parts. He has a habit of pawning of his older returned parts. And make sure you get pictures before he sends. It is worth the wait. DSn is a good communicator and overall a good seller, but you need to do your due diligence. Good luck.
  22. heart skipped a beat when i read the title, i am glad the pictures did not disappoint. thanks.
  23. thanks again for the pictures. the date looks really good. biggest improvement that i notice is with the pearl.
  24. Very nice. Thank you for taking the time to take these pictures.
