  1. A imho "minor" flaw is the fact that there ceramic is in its colour actually a little lighter, and a little more "greyish" than the gen. The gen is darker and more black. Another "flaw" would be the colour of the Top Gun logo. The original is deliberately faded and not as piercingly "white" as the one on the reps.
  2. I have never been a fan of tourbillons (the replicated ones, that is)...till now. Im embarrassed to say, but im not even quite sure if this is a fantasy watch Maybe you guys can enlighten me What do you guys think of this watch? Looking forward to your opinions! (These pictures are not mine. Many are from the other rep forum- Credit goes to the user over there!)
  3. My Top 5 of ALL time IMHO, these particular watches cannot be chronologically ordered, they all are so unique and their statements so priceless (ill stop before i start drooling) 1. Jaeger LeCoultre Master Gyrotourbillon 3: 2. Patek Philippe Ref. 5970 3. A.Lange & Söhne Grand Complication (Limited to 6 watches) 4. A.Lange & Söhne 1 Timezone 5. Audemars Piguet Vintage Rose Gold Perpetual Calendar
  4. Amazing! No words... But I must say, imho the dial stands out much more on the leather strap! On another note, what fancy watch box is that?
  5. I agree. If you want to get a truly genuine strap, then go for the AD. I got a genuine BP Ref. 5004 Crocodile Strap from an AD, but actually paid 700 Euros (!!!!) for it... in retrospect I should have gone to the Netherlands and get two for that price
  6. Hi Gentle, unfortunately, i cannot comment on the makes of H-Factory watches. But i can comment on the ceramic- I've had my TG 3799 Double Chrono serviced and inspected, and my watchmaker was astounded as to the fact that the case is made of ceramic as per gen. Which means, that handling the watch should be "just like having the real thing". As for "chipping" and "cracking", my watch has been banged around and fell down a couple of times. I am VERY LUCKY to say that there are no scratches, and no chipping on and off my watch. And i wear it almost every day! So as to not push my luck any further, I now always put my watch on and off, ONLY on top of something to cushion an eventual fall, like a pillow, over the bed, or over my leg. Otherwise, i don't feel that this watch needs "special" care. It is robuster than what people and fellow watch enthusiasts may think upon initially hearing that it chips or shatters upon heavy impact. That in mind, just take care when you put it on/off or when you walk through doorways. I can only recommend this watch! Enjoy
  7. Thanks Guys, and thanks Legend for the short but precise answer! Going for the CP !
  8. Hello AP'ers, Sorry for the second post, my original one doesnt show the link I posted... :/ Could you guys tell me if this is a V5? Sales told me that they received the watch from the factory a month ago, and that the timing indicates that it is a V5. Ive read around that the V5 already has rounded pushers... but in this case it doesn't. Im not sure whether its different from TD to TD. You guys are the experts! Thanks for the help!
  9. Hi Guys, about to buy an ROO CP too... can one of you tell me how much you have paid for a jewel mod? Oh and, say for instance, I would not add a mod, just let it be serviced once every 18 months, what would be the life expectancy of the sec@12 movement? And what happens to it when the timer of this time bomb has ticked out? Could the movement still be saved or is it totalled? Sorry for the many Questions, but before i spend $600+ on a watch, I think it would be good to be informed into what im getting into Thanks!
  10. @APNoobster- did you sell it? Im thinking of getting one, however the only thing that for me speaks against this watch, is its affinity to get scratched. Of the 10 times you used it, did you use it on a "usual work day" or rather as a "sunday watch" where only few things can go wrong?
  11. Hi AP'ers, I have been reading around, seeing "Scratch Magnet" as a common way to describe the Chronopassion. What do you guys think? What have you experienced? Is the Chronopassion really a watch to be handled with silk gloves and worn under a shirt only made of silk? Looking forward to hearing your opinions...
  12. Hi guys, so ever since being into watches, Ive always loved the IWCs. The other day though, it hit me. Damn, APs are cool, and Jesus do they look good! Why did I never see that? Now Im here and am about to pull a trigger on an AP ROO. But which one? This one? Or this one? I have never been in contact with AP before, (and yes, I regret it), so I am asking the AP Experts in this forum, the following questions: 1. Which one would you choose? 2. How do they differ (except for the colour and the case material & finish, of course) 3. And which one is closer to the genuine? It seems to me as if the "asymmetry" Ive been reading everywhere is less prominent on the first Black Theme watch than on the second Grey one. As per my questions, you can see that I have no Idea (yet) about APs, so thank you all for helping me!

  14. Hi all, To start off, im not quite sure if this post belongs in this subforum...please bear with me, I know this topic has been chewed through quite thoroughly, but it always feels better and is more of a relief when one's own question is answered directly. I have a A7750 chrono (standard; secs @ 9) for around 2 months now, don't wear it all day/everyday. Whilst on a day i dont wear it, and the time is still running, i tend to hand wind it 10-20 rounds at night, just to keep it going and not have to worry about when i can set the date/time if it stops, you know, the whole 9 yards. When i Notice that it has stopped, i hand-wind it approx. 50 rounds (never feel any resistance). I wouldnt say that i wind it aggressively, but not quite slow either. On days i wear the watch, which is 2-3 times a week, i do not wind, since i rely on the rotor to do its job. Now i have read a few articles/posts, saying that fast and aggrssive winding can cause "teeth" of a certain wheel inside the movement to grind down, or even break off. Source: http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=1613 So, what do the movement experts say? 2 months of the aforementioned use- have I already damaged the movement? If so, how do i notice it, without having to open the caseback (since i dont have the necessary tools for that )? And what is the runtime of a fully wound 7750? Feel free to call me paranoid- at least then i know that all is well Much appreciation for any comments/help/ideas!
  15. bp? sub c? Im sorry im not up to date with the acronyms...
  16. Hello all, Im new to this brand, and know (ashamingly) little about the intricate details and versions of cases, dials, etc. (My playing field, as until now, has been the IWC Area.) And so I ask of the experts... Is there a distinct difference between the watches linked below, and in what sense do the movements differ? Is the 3135 "smoother" than the 2836? http://tswatchltd.com/14389-ro14389-submariner-black-ceramic-noobfactory-ss-no-date-v-asian-3135.html http://tswatchltd.com/14312-ro14311-submariner-black-ceramic-noobfactory-ss-no-date-v-asian-2836.html And, perhaps, a more relevant question, which one is closer to the gen....? Thanks a lot for the help! I would really appreciate it!
  17. Hello all, I've been looking around the trusted dealers, and what really caught my eye was the neo-alexander lv bag on watcheden.net. Watcheden is a trusted dealer, so im sure that the website is reliable, BUT, has anyone had experience in respect to shipping to europe (not UK)? Their shipping policy states no transhipment option, and european customs are truly "locked and loaded" for packages originating from china (the dealer is situated in china, right?). And perhaps, i might try my luck asking you guys whether anyone has a neo alexander that he/she would like to sell in Europe? Thanks for the help!
  18. I just tried it one more time. Pressed the reset button 3 times without response. The fourth time it resetted but with a "gradual" acceleration movement- as if it would be flung around....:/
  19. Hi all, I just got the package with the IW3799 in the mail today- excited, of course, as all of you have already experienced Upon opening and inspecting, all "cosmetic" aspects were more (better) than expected. However, the chronograph seems to have a problem. It starts/stops wonderfully, however, when trying to reset- it won't budge (that is, the chronograph seconds hand). Only after trying multiple times, of course not forcefully, but with different amounts of pressure, does the second hand indeed reset. It also sometimes jumps backwards a few "seconds" on the dial when resetting, as if it were stuck and/or the pusher does not quite contact to the appropriate parts. I am not one of the experts in respect to rep. (asian) movements, and so, I really need the help of those of you out there that are. Has anyone seen this "phenomenon"? Is it simply a case of poor movement oiling, or is this a real hardware problem? The chrono is resetted at the moment, will it prove fatal if I use it again? On another note, if this is something that can be only solved with a completely new movement, is there a possibility that I use the A7750 Valjoux movement on a rep. PAM Chrono and simply switch movements? (seeing as there is no "hours" chromo sundial on the Pam- I hope I assume correctly that the function is just not displayed on the dial). Thanks a lot for your help!
  20. First of all thanks for the responses guys! What i mean is not the position of the numbers, but the position of the dial. It seems as if the dial has been turned slightly to the left. I just mentioned the numbers as a sort of reference point of the dial to the watch case.
  21. Hi guys, attached is a photo of the dial of a rep 3799. It is a QC Picture, and I'm worried that the dial is not "aligned" or "straight". Take a note of the positions of the "11", the triangle, the "1", "5" and "7" as well as the rectangular markers at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions. They don't seem to be quite aligned to the actual watch case itself and seem to be slightly left... These are pictures, not from any scam site, but have been sent to me after my order to check the quality of the watch. Ordered from tswatchltd already before, never had an issue like this (or any issue at all, actually). Would appreciate some quick opinions, so i can get back to Mark. PS. By no means do i want to criticize Mark or tswatchltd. I have only made great experiences with them. Its just that the dial of this watch just seems off-set PPS. The pictures are small, but I hope they are enough to be analysed. They were sent to me in no higher resolution than posted below. Thanks!
  22. Hi all, As many of you might have already encountered, I'm torn between the 3789 and the 3799 (If I got the numbering correct, thats between the simple and double chronographs of the TG Series). My Ideas on this are as following: 1. Of course, the 3799 speaks for itself- just looks amazing, the biggest asset is, although its biggest giveaway- the faux 10oclock pusher. (Does anybody know whether these are spring loaded on the 7750 Valjoux movements?)- since it is faux, it might after all work as a proper pusher! 2. The 3789 is less of a giveaway, since the chronograph will work on the 7750. (not as beautiful, but still a TG). What worries me, is that all I can find are the versions of this watch in which the seconds are situated at the 9'oclock position, whereas the (newest?) version of the TG Chrono have eliminated the chronograph-hours sundial completely and replaced it with the seconds subdial. Is the version with the complete set of dials (seconds, chromo-minutes/hours) at the 9, 12 and 6 o'clock positions respectively, an older IWC version or has it never existed- and is only like that to compensate the fact that the valjoux 7750 displays its seconds at the 9oclock position? I hope you can follow my line of thoughts- any help or advice, or even a push in one direction would be of great appreciation! Best Regards
