  1. I have a jf v3 but changed the hour hand with a noob one (correct white lume) and swapped the xtal out with a profsteve xtal which is amazing. If I were you I would also go with the noob v4 and add a 2 sided ar'd xtal since it makes the watch truly stunning! The carbon pattern shouldn't be different since I guess the case is provided by the same maker for all versions from v3 onwards Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
  2. Thanks for your info! I looked for that as well but many other parts looked like gen eta when I compared them and the movement is so clean. But most probably a very nice example of an asian eta
  3. Never did anything on this watch and it is in use for about 1year! That's why I asked it looks just spot on and not a single bit of dust. By the way the watch is a noob exp.2 rlx with asian eta 2836-2
  4. I bought this watch for a friend of mine some time back and ordered it with a a2836-2. Now I had to repair a dial dot and when I opened the watch the movement looked extremely clean and all the stamps are well made so I started to campare it and except of the shock system it looks swiss for me. But could any expert chime in and tell me that I am wrong I think no td is going to send out swiss when ordering asian. This would be too much luck Cheers, sputim
  5. That is what this forum is all about! A real community with people that help each other out! So glad to be here
  6. What a great offer and must admit the result looks fantastic! Is it sufficient to remove the ar with cape cod or what is the right method to do it properly?
  7. Looks gen to me. Take a look at the cg's they look correct and also the movement from what I can see.
  8. Thanks sir! Appreciate your kind words. Was my first vintage build but definitely not last makes so much more fun than just buy a otb rep
  9. Thanks mate Yes I did. I don't bother and think it is too much of a hassle to change it to a 5.3mm crown which will probably look too small in the end. No I didn't. Why should I get a gen friction washer?
  10. Thanks mate and it also feels pretty great I have to admit Many thanks again and it's somehow funny how long it took to actually get to this point where the watch is now but the time and effort was worth it in my eyes. It definitely has a personal twist and the watch is certainly not 100% accurate but the cg's look quite ok for the first time and the gen plexi gives a very clean look. Next I will drill the lugholes, replace the bracelet and the springbars. And my next rollie project will be a nice double white seadweller 1665 but I don't know yet which case I should use for it
  11. Thank you, appreciate it!
  12. Finally, after a pretty long time I finished (not yet 100% - still need to drill the lugholes) my rolex 1675. I had some difficulties sourcing some of the parts and meanwhile had not so much time to dedicate myself to the cg shaving and completing the build. Thus, this project took some time and effort. Nevertheless, it turned out pretty well and I am pretty happy with the result bearing in mind that this is my first vintage build. Last but not least I want to thank the generous member ceejay for all his help and valuable advice he gave me. Without him answering all my questions very patiently I would not have been able to complete this project. specs: case: cartel 1655 with shaved cg's dial: yuki 1675 white dial hands: gmt & second hand from rafflestime, hour & minute hand from tiger concept plexi: gen rolex plexi (had a clark plexi installed first which is good but the gen dial makes such a difference!) bezel assembly & insert: from clark - exceptional quality and true gentlemen to deal with movement: dg3804 enough talking now on to the pictures
  13. Yeah basically only two different shades of brown but they look and feel pretty damn good I have to admit. And after 1 month of daily use still in imaculate condition.
  14. Ordered one for my friend and the quality is amazing and definitely a plus that it comes with a plexi. Additionally, you will get two leather asso straps (2 different colors) and the overall quality is very good. And the seagull movement is extremely reliable
  15. I certainly have but maybe not even worth the price of your gen xtal
  16. Thanks alot definitely a nice watch and with the gen strap a keeper for sure but when I saw your milgauss I felt like ordering one again.
  17. Indeed an awesome watch. Got the exact same model for a friend of mine and he can't take it off. I got a classic moonie for myself and had to do the sec @6 mod and interchange the ugly blue tint xtal with a plexi. Looks real good now
  18. Gen distressed leather strap finally arrived. It's a fantastic match to the brown dial
  19. Yup gen or a very high end franken
  20. Very nice pics and makes me feel like I should buy another gv. Is it still my former watch or did you get a new one?
