  1. I wonder if there's a drilling tool that drills the two inner lug holes at the same time, ensuring they are accurate for the spring bar, and SEL's?
  2. I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone knows the answer to these questions below, as I have the same question. Anyone know please? Is it done with a tiny angled drill such as a dentist type drill?
  3. I love mine, but will love it better when I find another Gen LV insert. So far the two I had found have been sold to someone else offering more money
  4. I often wondered the very same. Looks like there is a connection after all.
  5. More info on your capabilities with this machinery please
  6. Welcome to the forums, Nicky
  7. Sounds like the stem could be ever so slightly too long, and during your time wearing it, the movement may of moved slightly, exaggerating the problem.
  8. Great intro Owen, welcome aboard mate Greetings from a fellow UK guy in Finland.
  9. I'm wearing a rep right now which I have to say has been one of the best reps out of the box I have purchased. Its a 500m Calibre 5 Tag Aquaracer. Love it, and the Asian ETA clone is running spot on too. As to other reps in my collection, one has been frankened, another is my TC sub waiting on insert, and another, a TT Sub C from Andrew. The Sub C will be worked on soon as this has some flaws that I can correct. The 12 oclock indice, and the one @9 too.
  10. I have never met Mike in person, but I feel I am a friend of his. He has helped me no end in recent month in getting me set up as a watchmaker, providing me with valuable information on what tools, oils, equipment etc etc I need. Its been an absolute joy dealing with Mike via pm's, he has always had time to help me. His forum persona is also unparalleled and has always shared his experience, opinion, and great advice. Here's to you Mike, wishing you a smooth transition through the given task with family, I know you will come through it wiser, and stronger, and finally get back to what I share passion with you, watchmaking
  11. Thanks for this thread, having just acquired a timegrapher, the info is very helpful.
  12. The spring bar attaches the SEL's to the lugs. Using fatter spring bars may help with the SEL fitting.
  13. Before gluing it, why not try some fatter spring bars?
  14. AP watches are quite popular these days with v4.1 being the latest release of the Diver. TC LV sub has sold out, so no more TC LV subs until Thomas finds a maker to take on the job of producing new ones.
  15. Not heard anything to suggest he's not. You tried contacting him?
  16. Well said moll320 Welcome to the forums to both of you. Search, read, search more, and read more, and in turn you will learn lots with lots more to learn. Doing this may sound like I'm having a dig, but I'm not, its great advice, and when you learn what the forums have to offer you in way of help, advice, hints, tips, and reviews, not to mention photos. You will then, have an informed mind, and know which rep exactly what you want, and from whom to buy it from, how to pay, and how long it will take to be on your wrist.
  17. Interesting to know mate, is Thomas aware of this yet? I have a genuine crown coming to me soon, will the gen cron incorporate this spring?
