  1. That made my date, enjoyed reading that, thanks for sharing. Just goes to show, some so called experts don't know as much as they should!
  2. That is really nice, and is on my list. Firstly I'm going for Trusty's Black and Gold Sub, but the Noobfactory blue TT is certainly on the list for me Is this the correct Noobfactory Blue TT Sub? http://www.timeshops.net/submariner/3738-rolex-submariner-blue-dial-ssss-new-version-swiss-eta-2836-2.html It's currently on sale.
  3. Sorry for sounding like a stuck record, but does anyone know if the dead links, or missing photos are saved anywhere? If so, I can host the photos so they will be available indefinitely.
  4. Does anyone know if the lost photos, and dead links are cached, or saved anywhere? Its a shame that these are missing on such an informative guide. I don't mind hosting photos if they are available?
  5. As member have mentioned above, is at all possible that someone may of saved the lost photos, and could repost them.? I don't mind hosting them if someone wants to email them to me.
  6. So much has changed, but for the better I see. Well, apart from I see that the old Rolex Daytona reps are still not perfected. I had sec@9 and sec@6, and both gave me issues in the past, and looking through the forums, they haven't progressed much really. Now Submariners on the other hand have, and I will be making my first purchase this year from Trusty, a TT Black & Gold Sub with date.
  7. This is an old auto Breitling I have just found in a drawer from my old old collection, its around 7 years old, and still works fine, but is starting to tarnish, and could do with a bloody good clean. Anyone know which model its based on? Crosswind/Windwinder?
  8. I'm quite new here, but no stranger, I used to be a member of the old boards, and had the same username I think, I lived in the UK back then, but over the years, I have now got married, and live in Finland. I dealt a lot with Eddie Lee back in the day. I even posted some photos of my collection many moons ago, some 30 or so watches I had, but sold up due to working away most of the time, and now settled again, Im slowly getting back into what I love, and thats watches. I only currently have an LV Sub, which needs some tlc, movement is swiss, and has been running perfect for a few years. Posted the above in the Wildwest thread that Mike posted, so thought I had better introduce myself here as its the correct place.. Micky

  10. Can't see why not, worth a try, as you say, its gen, just say you need to replace the paperwork as it got lost or destroyed. You will have to pay for these replacements of course, but will be worth it so you can build your official repair/service history for the watch.
  11. Would someone be so kind to link me to the RWG tutorial on how to remove, and replace the bezel insert on a Submariner please? Thanks in advance. I have been looking around for a while, and only found expired links sadly.
  12. Could you not go to your nearest Official Rolex approved shop, and ask for your watches birth certificate so to speak going by its serial?
  13. Turn your digital camera's flash off, set focus to Macro (Close up), then get your lume activated by showing to some light ,switch lights off, leaving very low light in the background (behind camera), point, focus, and shoot)
  14. Ok, cool, thanks. Nice 1, I see you are in the UK. Did you noticed on Trusty's site they now ship from UK to Europe for ¢20? Is that what you got charged at checkout, or was it ¢45? Be interested to know where yours ships from and how long it takes to arrive from order to delivery. I'm set on the TT Gold/Black face Sub of Trusty's, but need to wait a little while before I get paid.
  15. Thanks for sharing, I have decided to go with Trusty's TT Sub Blk/Gld How much was shipping for you, where to?
  16. I have the exact LV Sub, it's around 7 years old now, and still going strong.
  17. I was just about to ask the same about the cyclops, it may of course just be camera angle?
  18. I too am looking for a correct Insert, and SS bracelet for my LV Sub. Sorry for the poor photo.. Sorry, couldn't add photo due to not enough posts.
  19. Welcome to the forums SSTEEL :)
