  1. So which method of shipping did you choose/pay for my friend? This can make all the difference. Mine was shipped with Fedex via Triangular>UK> FIN
  2. I thought it was just the angle of the photo. The sub dial @6 is the biggest tell for me, but that could be faulty after 30 years.
  3. Ok, I was ill informed, so please disregard my previous advice. Just searched myself, and yes, do not contact customs.
  4. Where are you, and which method of shipping did you pay for?
  5. The ad does mention that the hands were replaced. The chromo hand looks spot on, but the sub-dial@6 is off as you mentioned, so who knows lol
  6. Out of curiosity, where are you located, and which shipping method did you choose? I chose triangular shipping via the Uk to me in Finland.
  7. I recall reading a few threads on this matter. The outcome depends on your next move really. Iirc, you should contact them and state you know its a replica, and you are simply a collector of reps. this of course is dependant on the restrictions your country has on replicas.
  8. I noticed a new url watermark too, yourtrustytime now, but not yet tried it. Edit, just tried it, it's an old one I think, as that page shows.. This domain was once used to sell counterfeit watches. To prevent the usurpation of the high reputation of Swiss watches and the deception of consumers by such websites, the trademarks mentioned below have decided to actively fight against counterfeiting. Those trademarks, with the support of the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH, have obtained the seizure of this domain name among others before the Southern District Court of Florida (read the decision) and will continue their battle against any website offering counterfeit products of their brands (replica). Counterfeiting is a crime and can lead to serious sanctions, for both the seller and the buyer.
  9. Just been reading the review on the 42&45, and the 45 lacking in the AR, but looking at your photos, looks fine to me, so certainly getting myself one. Don't tell the wife!
  10. Great review my friend, love it, so informative! I'm sold on the 45mm, even with the lack of AR, I can always get AR added later. Regarding the HE valve being loose, is this the case on both the 42mm and 45mm?
  11. Just read it, and still prefer the 45mm, but wonder if the lack of AR is fixed now, if not, I can always sent it off to someone to AR it
  12. Where have you heard to 42mm is the better quality rep?
  13. Bugger, my QC showed 334 AMP. Time will tell.
  14. WHS^^ remove your photos my friend, move on, accept, give green light, wait and enjoy your first rep
  15. Depends on the movement you went for, but in all fairness, you should be fine with any movement. Yes, it is sometimes recommended to service a movement, but its not always needed. An example of this, there are many Asian 21J movements out there still running after years of daily use. I have a 21J Asian in a Breitling I wear, the watch is almost 7 years old and never serviced. Runs fine, although, gains 30 seconds over 48 hours. I also have an 25J Swiss 2836-2 ETA which is around 6 years old, and running fine, again, never serviced, but I do plan on servicing it later this year. Welcome to the forums btw
  16. Looks fine to me, you are in safe hands with Trevor mate.
  17. I think he got it from Andrew. http://www.ttw168.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35_114&products_id=10436
  18. I'm not familiar with Ap's. What are the tells on this one that tells you it's a rep if you don't mind me asking my friend?
  19. Cracking photos, and I can imagine the sheer fun they had doing that.
  20. Strange, my isp must of blocked his site, as I managed to connect via private vpn.
  21. Bugger, tried chrome, and still not loading for me. I am only able to view a cached copy of his homepage.
  22. I'm at home, and using Safari on my MBP, so will download Chrome, and try that
