  1. Great link that, I have learned a lot following that
  2. Just searched that members threads.. http://www.rwgforum.net/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=user_activity&search_app=forums&mid=25477&sid=c0aeac577716c76fe724f058621c3cad&search_app_filters[forums][searchInKey]=&userMode=title Nothing. You sure it was on these forums mate?
  3. I just tried to find the thread for you through google, but its not showing there either, only this thread.
  4. Can't really add to the advice already given above. Use on polished surfaces only. My experience is slowly slowly, and the results will show after time, not right away.
  5. Yes, gen crown will fit a TC tube, its just the thread that screws into the case that is not gen spec.
  6. Welcome to RWG, Court. Have you popped your rep cherry yet? If so, what you get and who from?
  7. That don't look too bad of a replication, and looks ok apart from those dreaded diamonds.
  8. Cheap way to scam those looking to save money, when in actual fact you will lose money. Stick to our TD's my friend.
  9. The TC tube is gen spec crown side thread, but the thread that the tc tube screws into the case set is not gen spec.
  10. Received my genuine Aquaracer bracelet today, and thought you would appreciate a side by side comparison with the replication of the same model, BA0870 bracelet. Whilst there is already a comparison over at RWI, there isn't one here, hence my attempt. If you are interested in seeing this other comparison, then check out s3g0y's comparison thread here where he not only compares the bracelet, but also a complete gen watch with the rep of the same model. The replica bracelet is very very close indeed to the genuine bracelet, with only very few noticeable differences, which all have to be found upon closer inspection. The first series of photos show the shorter of the two bracelets being the genuine, and the longer, the replica bracelet. Also to note, in most of these photos, the genuine clasp/diver extension is a couple of holes/position/adjustment to the replica, but towards the end of these shots, I resize the genuine, and adjust the diver extension so they both show the same. Onto the photos... Genuine Top... Rep.. Gen.. Rep.. Gen.. Rep.. Gen.. Gen top.. Now a quick look at the SEL's Rep.. Gen.. Gen Top..(as mentioned earlier, you can see the diver extensions are set differently. Corrected later). Rep.. Gen.. Rep.. Gen.. Gen Top.. Rep.. Gen.. Gen..(You can't really see the inscribing here due to the genuine bracelet being used. See second photo which shows a little better in certain light). Diver extension open. Gen Top.. Rep.. Gen.. Diver extension closed, Gen top.. Rear of clasp, closed, gen top.. Rep.. Gen.. A look on the rear of the bracelet. Gen, right.. Rep.. Gen.. Bracelet Endlinks..(rep right) Clasp side profile. Gen top.. Gen top again, this photo you can see why the rep has sharper edges, unfinished like gen, top.. And that pretty much concludes my comparison. Heres a shot of both bracelets at the same length.. Gen top.. A look at the rep, which is a super rep in its own right. The latest version has the correct logo.. SEL fitment.. And of course a wrist shot I purchased this rep from the same guy over on RWI who I linked to his comparison thread. Due to him having the gen and rep version of this model Tag, he advised against me getting a gen bracelet because the rep is so good. I got a good deal, so thought why not. This rep originally came from Ryan, a TD on RWI. Overall impressions on this rep bracelet, and watch, yes, its a super rep for sure.
  11. Is it this one, the Top Gun? http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/162646-soldiwc-miramar-chrono/#entry1267059
  12. It could be possible, looking at those markers that the "lume" is actually something else. Ceramic?
  13. If this is the cheap 21J version with faux chronograph, then I guess it won't have fully functional bezel either.
  14. Welcome aboard, and greetings from Finland
  15. Its certainly stood the test of time, pun intended. What do you plan on doing with it now. Revamp/refurbish, or drawer it, and buy another.?
  16. Im guessing 4+ years of hair spray? Thats if your wife uses it? Anyway, great you found it, and as mentioned, it will live to fight another day once you have finished restoring it. Great base to start with. Try an ultrasonic bath to remove the residue off it.
  17. Well spotted OP, and good for bringing this to members attention here, plus thumbs up to Mike for leg work.
  18. Great photos mate of a great watch. Love the Jubilee on it, works really well.
  19. Agree with the above suggestions. Where are you located? If EU, I maybe able to help.
  20. Very sad to have watched this thread unfold. I was really hoping Mike would resolve all outstanding issues with members watches, but really feel hurt now with the way he views us. I really thought he was on the same page with us, and shared our passion
  21. Thanks for sharing your experience on this rep, its really appreciated my friend. I'm a bit of a Tag Heuer enthusiast, owning a couple, one being a Carrera franken. These Grand Carrera's are growing on me, I must say.
