The worst that can happen is if your watch is seized, and then you phone, or reply to their letter. Its then when you open a serious can of worms.
If a watch of yours does indeed get seized, DO NOT reply to the letter, IGNORE it completely, but keep a copy to show your TD.
Visit a few AD's around your area, and surrounding areas, and try a few on to get to know them better. Then choose the AD with the best accommodating reception, and see if they will be flexible on mark up price of the watch you wish to buy.
There is always a risk with customs, its all part of the game. Most get through, but you should always be aware that yours may not.
Rule of thumb is, if you cannot afford to lose the cost of your rep, then your in the wrong hobby.
Having said that, most Trusted Dealers will resend a seized watch to another address for you, so it would be wise for you to check which TD's exactly have your back.
Good point that manually winding holds, and auto wind shoots back when you rotate the rotor.
Agree with Freddy ^^^
Something not right in the gear meshing somewhere there.
Sorry to hear this, and I like many others wish him all the very best in his recovery. My mother is currently dying from terminal cancer, and is just a matter of time now. No bone marrow transplant possible due to her bones being riddles too
Some very impressive photography there, with equally amazing scenery too. Beautiful. Here's a couple of photos I have for now, taken locally in Kuopio, Finland when I first moved here in 2007 I think...
I have worked on a couple of TC's now, so if you want to send it to me, drop me a pm, and I will sort it out for you. I'm in EU. Finland, from the UK originally
Yes, I had the same issue with my BP Sub C Glidelock from Andrew. He sorted it, and sent me a replacement.
Another issue with these BP's are the indices @12 & 9 being misaligned. Andrew sorted the clasp, i will fix the misaligned markers. Its all part of the fun.
I echo what Benjamin states, Andrew could send you a replacement clasp, and before sending he can arrange for it to be tested to ensure its working as intended.
When I had a problem with my TT Sub C Glidelock from Andrew, he sent me a complete bracelet to solve the problem
