Are you sure they are not like the genuine Rolex type where as you screw it clockwise, which in turn lowers the screw, thus enabling the movement to fee from its bracing. These type you then unscrew, which in turn tighten the movement in the case.
If you do open her up, make sure you have one of these before doing so, so that you can reseal it for water resistance...

Seen this a while back, and enjoyed watching it too. You would probably have a harder time finding a rouge screw though as instead of one floor for it to land on you would have to search the entire internal space of the quarters.
I do know that he has a few packages recently arrived in the UK, so these will be sent out this week. I spoke with him last week about a couple of orders. Patience is key as Thomas is only able to email once a week usually due to being extremely busy with not only building watches, but travel, and meetings with parts suppliers for up and coming TC projects also.
You posted a photo of a genuine Daytona. Save that to your computer, then grab a similar angled image of the rep, download that to your pc also, then open both, place side to side, and inspect the differences at your leisure.
