  1. This makes perfect sense. Any further suggestion on how to "...learn the mechanics"? short of studying a lot of movements and trying to connect the dots between function and the slightly different keyless components and their arrangements that perform the same function? Are there any published guides that might be helpful?
  2. I've gotta Navi and a Skyland Avenger that I can't stop wearing. It's 45mm which is plenty big for me but if you've been dragging around a subaqua, you'd probably appreciate the Super Avenger at 4mm.
  3. ROTFL!!! I've got a few canal st 'rerpetual crqnqmeters' hanging around that are slated for practice pieces. I'll get the cam and post some photos later.
  4. Getting confused here...I thought we were talking about skylands not supers. No V4 supers as far as I know, only V4 skylands
  5. V4 is not a myth. Check asian7750, Perfect Clones, or InTime. make sure it's the V4 from the H-factory with the correct '1'...no flagpole. This is the biggest tell. I've got one incoming now.
  6. Hope he didn't break the stem off flush with the crown neck...
  7. Up here with 'da folks' in Montgomery Co. Germantown, MD Have u identified any rep friendly watchmakers in the area?
  8. +1 what he said...although considering the price of some gens these days I might drop that threshold to 25%
  9. I'm going for one also...here's what I've learned. H-fac is definitely better, but then u have to pay attention to versions. V2 is good and doesn't have 'the flag' on the '1'. V3 is supposed to better but it took a step back by bringing back the flag and a number of undesirable features such as poor lume. There's supposed to be a remake of V2 that corrects all that and is better than V3. Problem is trying to identify it. Right now I'm looking at Perfect Clones, Puretime, and hoping my 'go to' dealer, Ryan at Intime can source the correct model for me. For more info check the v2 v3 comparison in the Breitling sticky section at RWI.
  10. Nice photos. I'm pulling the trigger on one (grey dial) soon. I've read there's remake on the v2 that's even better than the v3. Can anyone confirm this?
  11. Ceejay...did u find a Nav? I did get mine from Marvelous late in Feb. Very happy with it. Silix-Prime also has the same model.
  12. I don't have a direct answering, but I'm also looking for a DW for a Nav 01, and here's what I've learned. If you're searching on ebay, enter a search of 'date disk' or 'datedisk', not 'datewheel'. The latter won't yeild much.
  13. thanks!...I've been looking for this. The guy who sells this on ebay claims to have the copyright on it but the school went south years ago and this is in public domain.
  14. Fabulous piece!...wear it well. My TT says hi!
  15. everything looks good to my eye except the crown...lotsa wear on something I thought would be solid and not plated. I wouldn't take a chance with ebay unless you have someone with AD experience take a peek at it.
  16. I'm looking for the same. found one at a pretty good price $258 USD at Marvelous Replica that I might pull the trigger on, but like everyone else they're out for CNY until late next week. here' s a look... http://v.yupoo.com/photos/mrwatch/albums/5974121/ Previous post is correct though... the 7750 is notorius for breaking down if the watch is not operated in a particular manner such as not resetting the chrono sec sweep when it's past :10 or before :50 so the mechanisim doesn't slam to a stop, and not setting the date when the time is between 7p and 3am. This causes me to second guess this watch from time to time...at the end of the day, I might get a less expensive SS stick just to try out the 7750. Also I'm not a fan of quartz movements, but I keep hearing about a Japanese Miyota OS20 movement that mimics the smooth sweep hand of an auto that's been turning up in some Navs. This is not the model we're looking for but it's an example of this movement. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/112-breitling-navitimer-119927.html?t=119927&highlight=OS20
  17. Actually there are web based sniper apps that will make that last second bid faster than any human. If u set your bid right and it's higher than the current high bid it will enter yours at the very last possible quarter second...you probably lost to a sniper. Good news is its legal and Ebay supports it. I use 'EZSniper.com' and almost always win when I bid.
