  1. An interesting outcome for sure, but thanks for sharing the secret
  2. Saturday night, Sunday morning... Everybody in da club... etc etc
  3. Blessings and seasons greetings to all
  4. I'll look forward to the progress updates on this
  5. You've got everything you would need, so if you can get the measurements and specs, go for it
  6. All the watches are looking sharp, bro, but the Blacksteel really suits you
  7. You're very welcome It's the one GMT color variant I haven't tried, but this is certainly tempting me Wear it well
  8. This is the dealer I got mine from Looks awesome on my 20mm silicone strap
  9. I've always liked this photo: And while watching TV, I thought the light was right to try a few homage shots No change in what I've been wearing, but a different perspective to my normal photos
  10. Many thanks, my friend Good wishes can never be too much I guess I could Step One: Buy two (or more) reasonably priced watches... Step Two: Dismantle said watches... Step Three: Swap the parts round, then re-assemble That'll do for now
  11. Thanks, brother, it was a great day, with great company, so a top result all round I quite agree, the 1655 is an awesome watch, I'm just thinking the GMT bezel would be more functional than just the AM/PM indicator, but, you never know, when it arrives, it might completely win me over, and remain in stock configuration Only time will tell It's not telling time as well as it used to...
  12. That's a fine collection All the main models are well represented
  13. I have to admit, I have previously thought that DDs/DJs to be a little on the small side, but, having seen the Rhodium dialled DJ I got my wife a while back (replacement to hopefully arrive soon) I think that it's probably a size I could get used to wearing, and if I wanted a real 'sleeper' watch, a DJ would be my choice. Subs/GMTs have the more luminous dials which I find easier to read, but, they're not really 'smart' watches. Yacht-Masters are certainly smarter than Submariners, but still more in the 'bling' range than 'classic elegance', and I think that's where the DJs truly come into their own
  14. Just the various military-issued Rolexes would make a reasonable collection on their own
  15. Absolutely, and that means plenty of project fodder
  16. Any time, and that's awesome Mucho gracias, it was a good one
  17. Awesome collection, amigo I just noticed, your EXP II has an adjustable GMT hand
  18. I would've used the site you got the dials from, but I didn't have the spare cash for the WU fees (that would've meant no Pocari Sweat for me, and that was an urgent purchase ) so I went with David again As you say, it won't be staying virgin long. Just long enough for me to take some photos for the review, then it's going to be getting its guts pulled As much as I like the idea of wearing the same(ish) watch as Steve McQueen, the AM/PM function wouldn't really be of much use to me, where, throwing it into a case with a rotating bezel, means I can use my spare GMT insert, thus converting the AM/PM indicator into a functional GMT indicator You're absolutely right about what Demsey was saying, and I openly admit, I'm also a cheap bastard, so 'bang for the buck' is pretty much my number one priority. I was seriously tempted to order the DJ for the woody instead, as that was £5 cheaper than the 1655, but I figured I'd wear the hybrid more, than I would the woody, so a £5 saving wouldn't be such a saving if it just sat on the shelf waiting for 'nights out' to get wrist time And many thanks
