Here in the UK, locking blades're illegal to carry... I have a Victorinox Spartan which I always have with me. Often comes in useful, but not yet had to use it to cut a mofo Sure, some pig would probably give me grief if I ever had to turn out my pockets, but, as the cutting edge of the blade is under three inches (and it doesn't lock) it's totally legal to carry
  4. After doing my first tattoo a month or so back, I bought my own tattoo equipment, and have been practicing on myself and my wife. Here's the last few I've done on Emily (I'm still waiting to finish a few other designs on her, which won't look as good till they're finished) This is the last piece I did on myself, and required Emily to pull the skin for me. At long last, the work on my left arm is finally starting to look like a 3/4 sleeve, rather than just random designs This is what it's fitting in with: [edit to add] Here's what I've been playing with
  5. For the most part, I must agree with what Freddy's said. The Sub on the Corvus strap is not a good look for anyone other than Connery, so only best reserved for an accurate piece as a Bond Collectable. Black and grey NATO, on the other hand, would be a better complement for a Sub, but even then, it really is a case of 'the time and the place' for wearing one Yes, I have been wearing my THC on a NATO strap lately, but that was primarily because I was having issues re-attaching the bracelet, rather than purely a matter of choice. Having persevered and got the bracelet re-fitted, I'd now only put it on the NATO in extremely hot weather. A watch on a NATO can't really be worn with anything more formal than a T-Shirt, so while great for beach/hot weather wear (and bear in mind they dry slowly ) it wouldn't be the best look to pair with a suit and tie
  6. Interesting look Not sure how functional the blacked out bezel would be, but as an overall look, pretty tasty
  7. When it comes to individuality and self-expression, always
  8. :pardon: No different to the owner of a classic car having it customized... It's Eric's property, he can do whatever the hell he wants with it, if he likes it, that's all that matters... Afterall, it's just a watch
  9. That's an interesting line up, thanks for sharing I'm in two minds about the Tudor chronograph. On the one hand, it looks like any other fashion watch, so unlikely to attract undue attention, but on the other, there's something about it which I'm not keen on... Might be the datewheel location...
  10. Fantastic effect, what technique did you use on the dial?
  11. And the orange paint on the second hand doesn't go all the way to the center disc... I'm all for customization, but the real joke here, is that someone actually charged money for doing this, and must've thought they'd done a professionally executed job
  12. I figured that you were referring to the perceived value of the watch, rather than the aesthetics, it's just having seen the other really nice watches you have, like the Mystery and the Patek, I was surprised you would consider a chrono for 'formal wear'
  13. Personally, I wouldn't dream of wearing a chrono as a formal watch, so I'm really surprized that you would say that, considering all the other elegant watches in your collection
  14. Welcome to the party, that's a fine collection you have there, all the bases're covered
  15. That'll look great once it's completed My plan for the dial, is to use it in a 6238 Pre-Daytona
  16. Just a coincidence that I had those parts lying around for other planned projects, so I thought I'd throw them together for a chuckle
  17. Just threw this together from bits from my parts tray. Seems to be something missing though...
  18. Ahhh, my mistake Best of luck with the project
  19. Can't hurt to spin them an email and see what they say
  20. Interesting, it's almost like a transitional model I can understand it not being to everyone's taste, but I definitely appreciate the work which has gone into it
